JJ's Sushi

This was our first time at JJs, Suffice to say it won't be our last. The waitresses were very attentive and cordial. The chefs were fast with orders. The food not only looked good it tasted even better. The Unagi and Salmon were both fresh and tasteful. We had three rolls as well, everything just tasted good. My wife and I both commented on the rice being cooked perfectly and fresh. We are by no means rice aficionados we just have three rice cookers and lived in Japan for a good amount of time. All that aside, when you hear customers come in and are greeted by name, it says a lot for the atmosphere of the restaurant. It was a pleasure walking slowly out with a thank you come again from the staff. Love it.

This is my favorite sushi place in Sparks and Reno, it's my go to place. The Pink Lady Rolls are just what I need in my life. Every time I walk in I'm greeted by the chefs and the staff. I'm not able to eat here as much as I'd like to, but somehow the woman that often serves there remembers my name and speaks to me every time I pick up my to-go order. I'll genuinely miss this place when I move away at the end of the year.

Me and my family go out here any time we want to go out. We love not only the food but the atmosphere of the place. They’re always so nice and take such great care of us. It’s come to a point that my daughter knows who the owner is and they’re always so sweet. I’ve been to other sushi places around the us this doesn’t compare.

We love JJs special for take out! 3 rolls, 2 nigiri and 1 app for around $30! It's perfect for an at home date night when you want sushi but don't want to leave the house.

This place is a very nice, welcoming, and pleasant environment. You can get VERY quality food for only about $20.00! The people are very nice, and it is a very calm environment.

2023 UPDATE: Yeah, prices have gone up just like everywhere, but the food is still tasty. Love to sit at the bar and watch the sushi chefs work. (Posting updated menu pics here, too. Enjoy!)

2019: I have a few favorite sushi restaurants around town, but recently discovered this one. Wish I had tried it sooner! The sushi is wonderful and we've experienced good service every time we've dined there.

I've been waiting to try this place. We chose the all-you-can-eat option. We were not disappointed. The food tasted fresh and delicious. Our servers were great and attentive. We will definitely be returning. -Regina

Amazing little sushi joint in Sparks. Incredibly fresh nigiri, and the fish is really the star of all of their rolls. The staff was all very helpful and friendly to us, they really went the extra mile to make us comfortable.

Finally found good sushi in Reno/Sparks area. Been here over 2 years and have been having a hard time finding a place I like. Seating is limited and location kind of out of the way but well worth it. Great sushi and reasonable prices.

Excellent sushi JJ's! As you can see I ordered several different rolls to go. They were only doing to go order's at this time. They were all great tasting and all fresh. Even my little one like them. I will surely go back to support our local sushi joint. Hopefully I can go inside now and order.

I try to go there on a regular basis. To me this one of the best in the area. Always fresh. The staff is excellent.

My 8 year old daughter wanted me to leave a review. This is her favorite place to eat sushi and we usually will come just the two of us. She’s able to talk directly with the sushi chefs to place her orders, and they are professional and helpful in guiding her decision. Amazing staff and great place to bring younger sushi enthusiast still discovering different things.
