Since the new Sheriff has taken over I can honestly say I have seen a difference. While my interaction with law enforcement is limited (thank goodness!) I occasionally speak to a friend of mine who is a deputy and he along with a fellow deputy tell me things are improving at the department.

Had multiple VIN inspections done recently. Every time the officer has been timely, professional, and overall great to deal with. Very much appreciated

Very helpful, courteous staff. I had to come in twice because I didn't read the procedure correctly, but I was still in and out. Very fast.

Officer Lucero was so nice. In a desperate time and hurrying she was compassionate and understanding. I couldn't be any more grateful. Thank you for your kindness.

They took care of me when they didn't have to! They went above and beyond what they needed to do. They could have waited for me to get in my car and then arrested me and didn't. They stopped me and got me a cab when they didn't have to. Good guys!

Have nothing negative to say about the department. They area professional courteous and part of the community. The jail is clean and inmates are treated with respect and care. Victim’s advocates do a great job as well. Hopefully new leadership will address staffing shortages . 4 deputies per shift in a county this size simply is not sufficient to meet public safety needs.

Doesn't wear cowboy boots and carry revolvers. Very misleading 3/5

No body wants to move to redneck country to treat others with disrespect. The officers here are loyal to our state. The few you can take, you can HAVE, but don't expect loyalty from them.

When I went to get papers to evict someone out of my house the lady who was working was so rude and didn’t even explain the process to me at all. I’ve never had to evict someone and I asked if I give the papers and she said “I don’t care” all snarky and rude. She had a demeaning attitude as soon as we came through the door and was snappy and short the whole time.

Saw a very concerning video of officer Jacquot pinning an 8 year old boy to the ground allegedly making his nose bleed. I’m not sure what in your right mind could make you think this is appropriate but it isn’t….. It’s an embarrassment to your department. You shouldn’t be standing up for your officers shameful behavior. I hope he was reprimanded accordingly and hasn’t straddled anymore little kids…..

10-27-23 10:30 am. The window attendant (white female) for finger printing background screening show preferential treatment to the white customers and was rude to black customers. Terrible attude towards black customers. No one should be treated differently. We all deserves kindness and compassion.

Not a good experience. Fella at front desk had a demeaner of negativity. And why I decided to write this review is because it wasn't come out anytime soon. A nice lady did come out and do the VIN inspection but insulted me by saying I was lucky it wasn't stolen. Kind of a strange mindset of these people if you ask me.

Lying about the times, screwed up paper work, poor communication, using the terms “process” as an excuse. Literally they had lunch, breaks, close down the office and I’m still waiting. 5 hrs and nothing
