Capitol Cinema 16 + ARQ

Obviously, someone coming from a small town is going to be wooed by larger city establishments. I don’t feel that I have ever been in such a nice theater! From the entry, concessions all the way down the halls which were clean and decorated with nice old film posters, to the most comfortable seats I’ve ever been in!!! We watched an extremely long movie and I was comfortable and hardly had to adjust my body at all. I can’t wait to come back again. I drove all the way from Chadron Nebraska… 3 hours away!!!

This is a really good theater. Yes, this is the only theater in Cheyenne, but it's definitely worth coming here. To be honest, I come here weekly, so saying I'm pretty acquainted with this theater is an understatement. The service can sometimes be inconsistent, but that's rare. I do take into account a good percentage of employees here are young people who are on their first job so they are learning. For the most part, all the employees I deal with are usually friendly. Each of the auditoriums ( theater rooms) I've been in are pretty well kept. Also, they offer a wide variety of food, snacks, and drinks. All in all, this is a theater that deserves its top rating for sure.

A little difficult to find, actually behind the strip mall there. Very helpful staff, explaining their programs to a new resident. Prices are reasonable for today's environment. It was clean when we were there. The theaters are smaller than normal number of seats wise, but that is because they have reclining seats which are quite comfortable. Be careful you don't miss the movie because you napped in them.

I love the new reclining seats that they have put into the theaters. I am looking forward to see what the other remodeling is for.

This past December I was in Pittsburgh and went to one of the recent built theaters and the seats were not as comfortable.

This is my favorite theater in town. I am waiting for when the remodeling is done and they have more variety of foods in the concessions like pizza.

Update:
The remodeling has finished since I last reviewed, in fact they just finished a second remodel. The latest remodel is to add "Club 21", 4 theaters for people 21 and over. It just opened tonight.

The new theaters have new seats that in addition to reclining, they have a table that swings in front of you. There is also concessions and restrooms in Club 21 so you don't have to walk to the front.

They have improved concessions with pizza, fries, pretzels, and more.

I love that over the pandemic they added Flashback Cinema. Now you have a chance to watch an old favorite on the big screen again.

The new Luxx theater is nice with the laser projector and the heated seats. You definitely will want to turn off the heated seats after a little bit, because they heat up fast.

We ordered tickets online and were able to choose our seats, which was an added bonus since there was no need to arrive super early to get good seats. The recliners in this theater are super comfortable and you can basically watch the movie laying down! The snacks we got were good as well, the popcorn tasted fresh and the drinks were self serve on a touch screen machine where one is able to select really any flavor drink one likes. Overall this is one of the better movie theaters we've visited!

A modern theater with a lot of retro appeal. I love all of the old western film posters.

There are plenty of options at the snack bar. The prices are a bit steep but they have some deals.

The Arc theater is awesome. We watched A Quiet Place 2. The size of the screen and the quality of the sound add up to a truly immersive experience.

Also, the seats in the Arc are super plush.

This movie theater is great ordering your tickets on line is easy Do not forget to ask For a rewards card at the ticket counter! The recline seats are supper comfortable. Best of all the food here is delicious, the donuts are my favorite

I love Capitol Cinema! After the renovations for allll reclining it's my favorite theater. Now we just need a menu. :) Only kidding. I also love that they have unsweet tea as an option, I can't have sugary drinks. Great job, Cap Cin!

I love this theatre! Quick check in for online purchase. Great movies. Even the classics which are great to see .The luxe with the heated seats. I try to see every movie I want in the luxe.

Saw Sound of Freedom here yesterday. They have really good equipment, including a properly calibrated QSC sound system installed in the auditorium and fixed height screen with masking (expands horizontally for scope movies). The picture was very good, and they actually played the movie at reference level. The only technical shortcoming might be slightly less sound isolation between auditoriums than I’m used to. But the whole place was very clean, and entirely a pleasant experience. Thank you!

We came on a discount Tuesday and this place was busy! It seemed like everyone knew eachother from town which was cool, the staff were helpful and the popcorn was good. The refreshment area was pretty dirty and needed to be cleaned but the theater seats were really comfortable. We had a good experience, discount Tuesday tickets were about $8.27.

For a smaller city, under 80K, this is a really nice theater. It has an ARQ/3D auditorium, Dolby surround, and several 21+ auditoriums with their own snack bar. All have very nice recliner seating. Fresh tortillas chips for nachos and more. The snack bars are among the best I've seen.
