My wife and I have talked about going to Little Bear Inn for a very long time. Have received mixed reports from various friends and colleagues, but decided today was the day. Off we went and pulled into an almost empty parking lot. Were not sure that it was even open although the website said it was.

Going inside, it took a couple of minutes for somebody to speak to us and take us to a seat. We were early (around 4:30) and there was only one other couple in the restaurant at the time. We were taken to a corner table and it felt a little romantic being pretty much on our own and candles lit on each table.

Our waiter, John, came over and was extremely attentive. He continued to fill up our glasses and wanted to make sure that everything was cooked to our satisfaction or to see if there was anything else we needed. He is a young high schooler, but has a great attitude and I predict he will go far. Keep up the great work, John! You are a credit to Little Bear Inn.

On to the food - wow, it was worth the visit and my only regret is that we have not visited before now. We tried the beer-battered fried mushrooms which are my wife's favorite and they had a great flavor. It comes with ranch dressing, but John was willing to provide a little cocktail sauce at my wife's request.

We then ordered the T-bone steak -- Tuesday T-Bone Special. This simply means it is a great deal with $5 off the regular price. Cooked to perfection, we tried different sides and they were both good and the salad pre-dinner was crisp with plenty of flavor. Loved the yeast rolls they bring at the start.

Concluding, we asked if they have a dessert menu. John politely said no, but we do have cheesecake and bear balls. Being in polite company and in a restaurant that serves frog legs and Rocky Mountain oysters, I was not going to ask. However, my wife did.

John's humor was infection as he started his description by saying, "Well, I go out back, grab one of the bears, and wrestle him to the ground..." His voice trailed off with laughter as he actually explained what it was.

Ordered a "Bear Ball" and it has to be one of the best desserts I have had in a very long time, maybe ever. You will just have to go try one to believe it.

Great food, great service, and a great middle of the week dinner with the place mostly to ourselves.

Disclaimer - No bears were actually harmed in the making of this review or in the eating of the dessert!! LOL

Step into the old west with this gem located just outside the city limits. Great menu, wine list and selection of balls. If you know you know.
Walleye pike was excellent, as were the scallops. We added some extra chocolate syrup to our Brandy Alexander to taste. Our waitress was very accommodating and a joy to interact with.

Yeah, you should come here.

Best steak I've had in a long time. It was cooked to absolute perfection. Order it medium rare and it couldn't of been more perfect. Great old fashion style dining even had a gentleman in there playing some music. Our waitress was amazing great attitude and very attentive. Was patient with my younger daughter while she was ordering her food. Just a great mom and pop style steak house. Thank you very much for the amazing dining experience.

Amazing live music, great lighting, pleasant atmosphere, cozy seats, and friendly people. I don't know what could've made this better. Listening to the band was wonderful. Kathy was a fantastic waitress, she even added special cheese to my salad to go with my dressing. The brandy ribeye was top notch. Go here. Worth it.

We have had our staff Christmas party here for the past two years, and always have a wonderful time! Anytime we eat at Little Bear Inn, the steaks are great and the atmosphere is one of a kind. We love when they have live music!

Sometimes a celebration needs to be done at old favorites, and Little Bear Inn is definitely an old favorite, new owners and updated remodeling has modernized the old rustic look the restaurant had before. Casual dining is still the vibe, afterall this is Wyoming where dressing up is just wiping the dust off your boots, small menu with a good selection to choose from, steaks are still fantastic and the service attentive without being intrusive, save room for dessert because the Bear Balls are bomb! Be prepared to drop some cash but the lighter wallet will be worth the visit and the drive to Little Bear Inn.

Little Bear inn is really good. We went to terry bison ranch the day before and got a menu that only had a burger or chicken strips. So I took my wife to the little Bear inn today and man. It was well worth it. Food was really good and the staff was super awesome. I'm glad we chose the little Bear inn. We lived in Cheyenne for 6 years and it was our first time going out there. We will definitely be returning. In my wife and mine option this is the best steak house in Cheyenne. I recommend it to anyone who is passing through or anyone who lives in Wyoming. It's a must to eat there and get the experience we did.

We went there tonight with six people. It was a little bit concerned about the look of the place from the parking lot.
But once we went inside we felt as though we made a great choice. Was very nice and family friendly inside. After we were seated in the country style restaurant which was very clean and the waitress came to the table we we taking care of promptly.
The service was great. And the food was delicious from the steak 😋 to the seafood everything was delicious. Plus appetizer's to the desert this was a great experience.
Would definitely recommend this as the one restaurant for any one visiting Cheyenne to put on the place to go for a great meal.

We came to this restaurant 33 years ago. We were going to be driving through on a Friday night so i called to make reservations. The lady was super cool to get us a table when i explained were were going to be driving through Cheyenne. Food was pretty darn good. We both had steak and was cooked perfectly. A band was playing as well.

First time and can't wait to come back to WY to eat the food. Friday night musicians were great, not too loud and we sat near them.

We took our visiting niece out for dinner at this place. She and I shared a garlic infused New York strip.baked potato and a lovely salad. Hubby had same. It was outstanding. Best steak Ive had since my birthday at T-Joe’s. Excellent server. She didn’t give any negative reaction to us wanting to share a meal. That is always appreciated. Great surroundings and relaxing meal. We will definitely return!
