It’s a beautiful old mansion very close to the capitol building. This old edifice of democracy has witnessed so many historic moment. It is free to visit and the rooms are well curated. The caretaker lady is amazing very help. Would recommend this place to ever visiting Cheyenne

Great history and beautiful home. After the Capitol tour, it’s neat to learn and see the history of the home that many of the governors lived in. Home has been renovated recently and has different time periods displayed in different rooms. Several area display unique architectural features that are surprising for the period.

The self tour is free but a donation are appreciated. This place was cool to see along with a lot of original or replica pieces. You can take photos within the place. Probably will take you about 1hr to do the whole place but also depends on your speed. They have toilets on property.

We loved this place. Just decided to explore it when going for a walk and it didn't disappoint. We've talked to our relatives who are local and told them they should visit this gem. It made me want to know more about Wyoming history.

Lovely staff that seem to really enjoy what they’re doing and are very dedicated to preserving history! Stopped by on the way to California and it was the perfect place to stretch our legs and learn something new! All the rooms were so unique and felt like you were stepping into the past!

Had been meaning to visit this for years! Surprised at how large the rooms were for such an old structure, beautiful antique furnishings. Not handicap accessible, many stairs. Self guided tour, information spots to text for information throughout home.

We have a great time exploring the Governor House and learning about history! The staff is friendly and dedicated to share information about history facts. The entry is free but you can give a donation. The house is fantastic. Stop by this place if you are in downtown Wyoming!

Absolutely beautiful! Loved the home and all the furnishings. Each room was a different era - very well done. And free!

I travel around the country a lot and visit tons of historical places. This ranked among the top I have seen. They took great care in the detail of the decor, and the varied periods in time they reflect in the different rooms was great. Even down to period music playing in many room. The fallout shelter was my favorite. Old bulk food boxes, etc. And it’s voluntary donation, when most places charge. Definitely worth a visit.

Wonderfully well kept Govenors Mansion which was last inhabited in the 80’s. Vintage kitchen, beautiful antiques & rugs. First Govenors mansion we have been to. We enjoyed it!

Great staff, very friendly and well informed. We took the mansion's self guided tour, nice to set your own pace. Interesting layout, pictures, decor and furnishings. Highly recommend.
