My opinion of this lawyer is as follows:

Unprofessional and very slow to respond to emails. Sometimes she wouldn't even respond to emails at all. It was my experience that she did not make a noticeable effort to represent her client and did not defend him during the length of the pending litigation.

The Wyoming Rules of Professional Conduct for Attorneys at Law lists a lawyer's responsibilities and code that they must follow when practicing within the State of Wyoming. During the time that I saw Carol's services being utilized, she violated three of these rules; Rule 1.3, Rule 1.4, and Rule 8.4.

Rule 1.3 - Diligence, "a lawyer shall act with reasonable diligence and promptness in representing a client." In my experience, Carol did not promptly reply to emails or phone calls, and often times did not reply at all. She received many requests for information from her client, however she did not reply which left us in the dark and unprepared.

Rule 1.4 - Communication, "A lawyer shall keep a client reasonably informed about the status of a matter and promptly comply with reasonable requests for information." In my experience, many inquiries were sent to Carol on the status of the pending litigation and what the next steps were. We did not receive any responses from her. This often left me wondering if she was still intending to represent the case at all or if she had chosen to drop the case.

Rule 8.4 - Misconduct, "It is professional misconduct for a lawyer to: (c) engage in conduct involving dishonesty, fraud, deceit or misrepresentation." In my experience, Carol made dishonest and deceitful comments to the individual she was representing during the pending litigation, especially when an offer for settlement was proposed. She told her client that it would be a very good deal, but then after she was questioned on why, she changed her answer to say that it was actually only good financially. A person should not have to pull information out of their lawyer, nor should they have to beg for information, NOR should they be misled by their lawyer.

If I could give this lawyer a rating of less than one star, I would. In cases of family court, I would strongly advise that you do not utilize her services - you'd be better off defending yourself in court.

NEVER allow her to represent you OR be a G.A.L. her work is poor, unprofessional, extremely slow, and so much more.
