I’m a veteran. I have had two units here. Some water came in a foot. The other perfect. However I came from two other storage places. And these places. Outlets and lights. A few times gates open but when I called the knew of it stuck open. They have a live on full time person. People are super nice but straightforward. Not one issue. I get the deposit. But it says in their contract. So I got mine back. I have had to call many times with a confusion on my gate code and after getting ID stuff they got me my code. They call and say hey your card was denied. I forgot after canceling a lost card. They do courtesy stuff. I would suggest here without a doubt. They also caught in less than a day I messed up locking my unit. I locked it without it latched…. Called me. I had an issue with a lock. They offered to cut it off too. Awesome attention to needs. I love their 24/7 availability.

American Storage has been in Cheyenne for over 20 years. They have great customer service, a fair rental contract, very clean and nice units, state of the art security, and 24-hour access. I've rented from them for over 20 years and am pleased with their business. Highly recommend!

They've always been friendly, positive and professional. I'm glad they are here, close by and convenient for shipping.

I've been in there 3 years. No problems and very accommodating people.

I was sending 3 letters certified mail and the lady must have been new and was struggling. Then a lady who I can only guess who was in charge/the boss walked by her and was telling her what she was doing was wrong and "she's not paying for that" without helping the lady who appeared to be new. I was in there for a minimum of at least 30 minutes. Why didn't she help the employee? I was so frustrated. I was the only customer in there for a long time. Poor management...I felt bad for the employee. Do better!!!

Had a unit for approximately 2 months. Cleaned out unit over a week before the next billing period. Was told we don't get our 20.00 deposit back because we didn't give 10 day notice. We tired to let them know a week earlier but still during business hours no one was there to inform. Pretty entitled company and using the word American treating clients like that is shameful.

Not veteran friendly or service dog friendly. Half their Gates don't work. Their storage units leak when it rains. Always had equipment blocking my storage unit. Complained about every little thing I did. Couldn't protect my unit from thieves the cameras are there to watch the tenants not to protect it. Really unprofessional and not BBB approved. There are better storage units with better deals. Don't expect to get your security deposit back from them either it's how their make a good chunk of their money.

Terrible experience. Extremely rude and complained frequently about the littlest things. Bringing a dog on the property and throwing a small amount of trash away in the dumpster was met with threats of fines and nonrefundable deposit. When put of our way to clean up a stain left by coolant and even tried to remove a stain that was already present upon arrival. DENIED the deposit because of the stain already present, we managed to remove all stains left by us. ALSO construction equipment constantly blocked our unit and the concrete is already stained from that equipment. PLUS half the entry gates are perpetually broken. They find any reason to keep your deposit and are extremely rude. DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! Plenty of better options around town.

We rented a storage unit and told the gal who called for the December 2014 payment that we would be vacating the unit by the end of the Dec. She said ok, just be sure to sweep out and remove any trash from the unit so we can mail your deposit back to you. I said ok. Now, today, 1/5/15 we called for the second time since our first message was not returned, and was informed NOW that we were required to write out a 30 day notice and be present for a walk out. This business told me 3 months ago, when we get ready to vacate to just give them a call as soon as we knew a vacate time. The man at time said there was no requirement for a written notice. NOW, today, they told us they do not refund $100 deposits without written notice and your presence during a walk through. I thought it was odd that they piled snow 2 feet high in front of our storage door, we has to shovel to get into the unit, and then to remove our items. DO NOT RENT FROM THIS PLACE, THEY ARE NOT GOOD.

We were told the dirt and dust in our unit was our fault but in truth was due to a leaky storage unit with pictures to prove it. The owner’s granddaughter used foul language to insult my husband as we were removing our belongings. We have ruined items due to the leaky storage unit.
