Simply the best. Great value, great selection, fast service despite long lines sometimes. Lots of outdoor seating. No indoor seating. No bathroom. Dairy free options like oat milk scooped rotating flavors. They also have shaved ice. Yummy!

My favorite ice cream & Sherbet place in the area! Ice cream & Sherbet is always fresh and delicious. Staff is friendly. Area is great for bringing the family.

The staff was super nice and patient, especially important as we tried to pick from the many, many choices! Everything was delicious. The black raspberry sherbet was especially delicious. The brownie Sundae had perfectly done brownie pieces.
I do with the Death by Chocolate had shaved chocolate instead of chocolate chips BUT that's a personal preference regarding texture and not an actual issue.
I also love a place with pupcups

Been coming here for years. Hands down the best soft serve and handscooped ice cream in the area. Love the variety or flavors. Butter pecan soft serve is to die for and the handscooped are never bad. Banana pudding, Sarah's Cookies, Payday and the list goes on. Such a great place to spend a hot summer night. Pup loves his pup cups also. He knows what that styrofoam cup is and even thinks our leftover ice cream is his pup cup. 🐶

It's one of the best dairy bars I have eaten at. The ice cream is delicious, and they have one-of-a-kind fun flavors! I stock up some pints for when they are closed for the winter. I highly recommend checking them out. They also have pup cups for your dogs.

First time here, a fun old-fashioned roadside ice cream counter. Lines are long but fast, and service is very friendly, please consider leaving them cash tips instead of on your card. I tried their “Boston Shake”, which is half a milkshake in a 20 oz styrofoam cup with a 2-scoop 1-topping sundae on top. I had a pistachio milkshake with coffee crunch ice cream and peanut butter sauce, and I will be making the drive for this again soon. The cashier is fast, efficient, and happy, writes your order out by hand, then hands you a receipt with your number printed on it. The service window calls out your number for each item as it is ready. A great system, especially when you have a group.

There is always line because it is so good! A huge variety of soft serve and hand scooped ice cream. I always get a Boston Shake so I don't have to decide between a shake and a sundae. Great service and good pricing.

My friend recommended this place. The price point was like $20-$25 for 5 people.

There aren’t many tables and there was a long line when we where there. But the line did go fairly fast.

There was plenty of parking. We were able to find a table and enjoy our ice cream.

I ordered a milk shake and the rest ordered ice cream both in cones and cups.

Service was friendly. I says it’s let for pet friendly as I saw people sitting down with their pets- all where small dogs.

Iconic ice cream place in NOVA that has been around many years! The ice cream and service here never disappoints. They have both soft-serve and hard scoop ice cream, swirl and topping varieties galore, as well as seasonal flavors and surprises. While the line can be long sometimes, it does move rather quickly. If you're not a fan of lines, try to come during and off beat hour. There is outdoor picnic tables with umbrellas if you wish to eat there. I also see some people go to their cars or take their items to-go as they can provide lids. Worth the visit for a family or friend outing, solo treat and/or date. They also have pup cups and you'll often seen dog owners waiting in line with their dogs. They have something for everyone! You're guaranteed to do a little happy dance after having their ice cream.

One of the creamiest soft serve ice cream we've had. While the selection isn't as extensive as other soft serve ice cream in the region, such as Bmore Licks in Baltimore, we thought this was very creamy and satisfying.

We also got a strawberry cheesecake sundae which was a tasty treat. We will definitely revisit this place in the future.

Sorry but 5 stars is not enough for this place. AmazIng ice cream and now I understand why there is always a line. Also the people working there are so nice an attentive.

My fiance was so amazed of Nathan's Dairy bar . We had Banana splits and blackberries chocolate chip , it was really good we enjoyed every single bite and we are definitely coming here again since we live 12 minutes away. Keep up the great work and the excellent customer service.

Natan’s Dairy Bar is a great family place! They even welcome well-behaved dogs. Try their hand-scooped flavors. If you come on a weekend, be prepared for a long line.

The ONLY line I'll stand in for ice cream!!! I'm usually a soft serve person, but it will be the sampler from here on out.

Legit... some real old school ice cream going on over here! Nice creative sundaes, very reasonable prices and great portion sizes. Family of four can get treats for under 15 bucks total.

I doubt there's a better ice cream place on the planet, and I'm not going looking to find it anyways. We've been huge fans of Nathan's longer than I can remember. We are very blessed to have them in the neighborhood and so easily accessible. They offer the best flavors (💜🐄) and super friendly employees. My favorite thing, maybe even more than ice cream, is petting all the puppies that come for a pup cup! So happy to see Bessie BACK this year!

No matter how long the line is, it's worth the wait. The ice cream was phenomenal, and there's a long list of soft serve options. I ended up getting the Boston Shake which is a shake with a sundae on top- very delicious. The prices were very reasonable, and I'd definitely recommend going.
