Forward Church

I made Forward Church my home a little over 5 years ago and I couldn’t imagine being anywhere else! This church is such an awesome place to worship and hear the Word straight from the Bible! My kids love kids ministry and I love the small groups. We do life together and want to see people move forward with God! We go into the community and love on everyone we see. Pastor Brian is such a character and he preaches the Word in a way that just can’t be ignored! You can feel his love and compassion for people and he genuinely wants to see souls won for the Lord!
April, the Pastors wife has an amazing voice and love for the Lord that is infectious!! Did I mention we have a free coffee house every Sunday... it’s one of my favorite places...what’s not to love..good convo and great coffee!

If you are looking for a place to fit in....come check out Forward Church....come as you are (dress as up or down as you want)...you will not be disappointed!

Today was our first day at Forward Church and we loved it. We were greeted by everyone and welcomed as soon as we walked through the door. Brian is absolutely amazing at making his message simple, relatable, and applicable to everyday life. I’m so grateful I found this church. 10 out of 10 recommend! ❤

My husband and I have been with the church for a few months now. Not nearly as long as some people of the church, but DON'T let it discourage you. When we came for the first time, we were WELCOMED like old friends meeting for the first time in a long time. Forward church is humble, and whole. When you come here I promise the church family will make you feel right at home in the sanctuary.
The coffee is fresh and free, that's always a plus, and we love how personal the connection with the church and with God are when we worship here. The word of god, as delivered by pastor Brian, is relatable, understandable, and valuable. Brian, and his wife, April, are active not only in the church, but everyone who worships with them, new or not. Their beautiful family has such compassion for anyone who walks through the door.
It's so nice, as a military family, to find such a place. When we moved so many times before and never felt like we've found the right place to be on Sundays, we are so fortunate that Forward Church can be the place for us.
I genuinely hope to see more people find their way to us, if you're thinking of stopping by, I'll save you a seat by me.

Forward Church is an amazing place to worship and connect with others, whether you attend in person or online. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. The pastor, Brian, really knows how to take principles found in the Bible and make them relevant to the world we live in today. If your looking for a church to be a part of, I recommend this church.

The moment I walked into Forward Church I was greeted with such a warm welcome. Everyone made me feel very comfortable. I was introduced to the Pastor and his wife and again I felt like I belonged there. This church isn’t huge in size but they are huge in how they welcome you and they generally care about you. I just felt like I fit in...finally.

Fantastic church! The pastor does a great job of sharing God's word and making sure we as followers know how to live by it every day! The people there are very welcoming and the atmosphere is awesome!

I Love this Church !! Has a awesome nursery and kids church program !! Love the Pastor and his family !! Come as your are and have coffee in our new Cafe !! You can Worship about the amazing Jesus Christ from Pastor Brian !!!!!! I was raised in this church as will as my three children.

Are you wanting to find a church and afraid you might not fit in? Well this is the place to go. I know most of you dont know me from Adam but I am not a churchy person, well I for the most part, But when given the opportunity (when I am in the area) I go to this church. Brian is not just a preacher/pastor (whatever you want to call it) he is a real person, and you know what that means..He is not intimidating to talk to, he isnt one of those people who feel like is looking down there nose at you. And he isnt boring..I spent my hole childhood and youth in church and I can really appreciate a preacher who is relevant and not boring. The music at the church makes you want to dance and not cry..I have spent a few sundays there and never once have I wanted to fall asleep...lol But enough about that part, this church feels like a hug...Thats the best way I can describe it, I stayed away from churches for a long time, because my life has been far from perfect, and I always felt like I was the center of type of gossip but not here not at this church. There awesome. So if you are wanting to go and see what a church is suppose to feel like, (and be able to wear jeans) this is the place for you..Take a chance it wont kill you.. It might actually save you.. From one non churchy person to another.. :)

This church has not been the same since they had changed the name from Portsmouth first Pentecostal Holiness Church I grew up in the church the building all through my childhood it's been in my family for decades being a fight with my family and other local families I built that church I felt like it was a disgrace to change the name oh a sacred Holy Ground Church it was just great to change it in God's name you do not change his name so why should you change the name of his house his kingdom his home his secret Land
