Amazing spot! The food is delicious and has a lot of variety. Even if your palette isn't used to very spicy foods, you will still find something you like. I also highly recommend their Ethiopian coffee. The service is great, the owner is very welcoming and hospitable.

I highly recommend Vera’s Kitchen located in the heart of historic Manassas. I am so glad I visited today! Not only did my family and I eat like royalty today, but we also got the BEST service from the beautiful Veronica! She was attentive, friendly, makes all her customers feel special, the food was so tasty 🤤 and phenomenal (pics don’t do it justice!), and it was a very welcoming atmosphere. It’s a cute and clean place where you will feel at home. Tip: make sure you come hungry because you will leave feeling full & happy and try the ginger boost tea😊

My wife and I had delicious Valentine’s Day dinner at this authentic Ethiopian restaurant called Vera Kitchen. The restaurant’s team had specifically designed Valentine's dinner menu which consisted of fresh salad, followed by crispy vegetable samosa with hot gingerroot drink. Tibs was the main platter, it is a dish of sauteed meat as the protein with vegetables, flavored with berbere spices served on injera. Tibs is eaten with hands and no silverware. Injera is a sour fermented pancake-like flatbread with a slightly spongy texture, traditionally made of teff flour. We thoroughly enjoyed the food and friendly atmosphere and genuine hospitality.

Such a cool traditional good place. The people were super nice and thought us about the way the food is eaten and the experience was phenomenal. The coffee is done is a very unique way with authentic Ethiopian beans and is delicious. This place is definitely worth it. The food portions were huge and one plate fed my friend and I until we were really full. I totally recommend.

I had the vegetarian sampler platter (I can't remember the Ethiopian name of the dish) and it was so delicious! There were chick peas, lentils, mushrooms, cabbage and spinach, all with wonderful seasoning. Served on that special Ethiopian bread which tastes so good with these foods. The restaurant was clean, attractive and welcoming. The service was excellent and I didn't have to wait long at all for the food. The food is a little pricey, my vegetarian platter was around $17, but well worth the money.

LOVED LOVED LOVED this restaurant! The food was fantastic and the owners are so friendly! We got hummus, a combination plate to share, some almond cake, and got pasta for our 5-year-old. Everything was delicious and it was by far the best meal we’ve had this year! I would definitely recommend trying this restaurant out, we will certainly be making ourselves regulars!

One of the best dinning experience ever! Shout out to Mr.Eddie, a great conversationist and an amazing manager. We ordered the meat combination platter which was like out of the word! Their ingera was so soft delicious and mouth watering that we ended up ordering more. We were also served with some baked ingera with different spice levels to go with our delicious lentil soup. Overall we loved it and planning to go to the paint night which is every first Saturday of every month!

We had been meaning to go here for months and finally remembered about it again today while running errands. We came in for a late lunch and got the special- tomato quiche and creamy potato soup. We also ended up getting the ginger boost tea (not pictured.) Everything was delicious and had bright, fresh flavors. The service was great and the atmosphere was lovely. We'll definitely be going back!

We happened to come across this place while searching for food options in the area. Vera's Kitchen has incredibly tasty food options, a very cozy and homey ambiance, and excellent service! We ordered the sambusas and beyaynetu. Both dishes came arranged beautifully. Each of the foods that made up the beyaynetu entree were served on a large injira bread and had deep layers of flavors and textures that kept us wanting more. Eddy, who was working the front of the restaurant, even brought out a sample of their Ginger Boost Tea, which tasted amazing and paired excellently with the rest of the food. Towards the end, Vera came out to talk to us and we chatted a bit about how she makes some of her dishes. It was just truly an authentic experience, and we feel lucky that we accidentally came across this restaurant.

My friends and I were returning from a camping trip and decided on stopping at Vera's on our way back through Manassas and I'm so glad we did. The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating for me and another friend as we had never had the pleasure of trying Ethiopian cuisine before. They put together a combination platter for me consisting of Beyaynetu, Vera's Tibs, and the Beg Wot from their menu (pictured left to right). The Beg Wot was my favorite and overall the meal was so hearty and delicious. I would encourage anyone else to dine here; it was a lovely experience.

Great authentic Ethiopian food. I have been to a lot of Ethiopian restaurants but this one put a lot of care with their food. You can taste the spices and herbs. Collard green is spot on. Their lamb and beef are soft and tender. The interior is really nicely decorated.

Vera’s Kitchen is the perfect place for authentic Ethiopian/Eritrean food. From the home made gluten free injera to the delicious assortment of options — from veggie to meat/fish dishes. Everything was so fresh and left me wanting more. Most of all, the service was incredibly friendly—I felt like I was eating in my mother’s kitchen. I cannot wait to come back here!

Wonderful food! Very friendly service! The beyaynetu (vegatarian dish of lentils, chickpeas, and other goodness) on the injera was fantastic - so full of flavor. Excellent coffee and almond cake for dessert. Will DEFINITELY make this a regular spot.
