EVMS Portsmouth Family Medicine

I highly recommend this practice! I've been a patient for over 3 years and have received excellent medical care. My current physician is Dr. Scott and she is very attentive and knowledgeable. She listens and spends time with her patients. She is very personable and caring. When lab work is needed it's just right down the hall. Efficient and friendly staff. Even the front desk staff is great. Kudos to Justin who is always polite when I talk with him on the phone or make a return appointment. He always makes sure my refills are taken care of. Everyone I've encountered there has been professional and courteous. If there is ever a long wait, I know it's because Dr. Scott is spending extra time with sicker patients.

Have been a patient here since a young girl. I absolutely love doctor Morrison she's amazing! She's very light hearted and informative. She's very thorough when getting health your health back on track. I highly recommend.

I went for a visit but none of my prescriptions were called in. I think it was because of me having to change with humana. I liked it. It's a very friendly , the Dr was a young New EVMS woman. The Dr she was working under was very nice. Good people and im glad I could get a spot in an EVMS practice. Thank you

The comprehensive treatment provided to the patients seen at this practice far exceeds expectations. This is one practice where the medical staff treat the “ whole person” and not just one symptom at a time.

I have not had to wait more than 5-15 minutes to be seen by the nurse. After the consult with the nurse I have not had to wait more than a few minutes to be seen by the doctor. In the past, at other Family Care Practices I tolerated waiting 1-2 hours to be seen which is totally unacceptable.
I have been seen for same day appointments when I have been ill. The physicians have a great staff of nurse practioners and physician assistants that are typically available for same day appointments which is a huge plus at any practice.
Surprisingly the physicians’ nurses will call you with lab results and other test results just to ensure the patients have a thorough understanding of the results and so they can answer questions. This is another plus for the patient.
I highly recommend this practice. The knowledge and skills of the staff and the personal service provided by all the staff clearly sets this practice apart from most other family practices.

Dr. Bhasin is arguably the best doctor in the entire region. She was attentive, respectful, and informative. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Scott who was also a delightful change compared to Sentara doctors. The office staff members were all polite and the facility was clean and well lit. Bravo, Portsmouth!

Love them! Very attentive. Longer wait than I'd like but that's usual of any dr office. So not bad. Great drs.
