This five star review is for Charles whose professionalism and customer service was outstanding. I was having an issue and spoke with several people who would not investigate or take time to resolve a serious problem. Charles took time and found the issue and even admitted they had made a mistake on their end during the processing. He fixed it promptly. This agency needs more people like Charles in leadership.

We opened our business in January 2024. We mailed our Homemaker & Companion application to AHCA on 1/25/24. We called in February requesting updated information for the next step for approval. We received an omission notice letter on 2/19/24. We requested to know what we needed to fix and had to jump through more hoops to get the original document to edit. We were sent everywhere but the correct place for our application. Received the application on 3/13/24. Resubmitted the omissions on 3/14/24. Mind you this is supposed to be at maximum an 81 day turn around (21 days for our submittal and 60 days for their approval). On 4/15/24, we received a call stating our omission notice was not received. We sent a screenshot proving it was sent. On 4/26/24 spoke with Brian Smith, Direct Unit Manager. Brian stated he would have a meeting with Jackie Williams and Tammy Rodgers to move things along since it has been well over 81 days! On 5/10/24 at approximately 4:38 PM, we received a phone call from Brian stating our website didn't fit the Homemaker and Companion license and it needed to be corrected. And there's also an issue with the attestation that we copied and pasted from their document. But the problem is not ours and we need to resubmit this document again for a single typo. I have no clue who is running the Long Term Care Unit, but I can tell you I have contacted the secretary to the Governor and we will be on the phone with him next week or in his office! Polk County will not suffer due to the politics, prejudice and discrimination from enemies foreign or domestic! If anyone in the Long Term Care Unit is not pro helping patients receive care, they need to be fired and replaced with professionals who understand time management, patient care and reduces transactional losses for small businesses in the State of Florida!

This has been by far one of the most overwhelming experience ever !!! And the sad part is no body will do anything to improve the system …I have spoken to so many associates who only have given me the run around because no one in this office know what they are doing but what they are good at is wasting time making you wait on the phone for almost 2 hrs to have a one min conversation with them and this is all the time!!! And they are getting paid for it!!! Shame on all of you !!

Awful!!!!!! My start date has been pushed back three times. When I called and waited for one hour and 20 minutes, I was told that they sent a letter asking me for more information. They sent the letter to my old address, when I asked the person I spoke to told me that that was the only address they had. Which is not true, because the form giving consent to do, my background included, providing my current address. Then, after obtaining all of the dreadful information they requested, I called back and waited another hour to speak to someone who told me that they received it. So then I get an email from someone else asking for the very thing I Was just told they had. To call back and wait another hour!!!!! To be told that there is additional information that Needed to provide, when asked to speak to a manager she told me she was. I told her that I have been back-and-forth with her office for the last month and not one person told me that I needed this additional documentation. She just continued to say, “I understand”. They’re definitely needs to be some retraining and reevaluating of peoples roles in that company. They’re also needs to be an understanding that these decisions determine whether people get a job/license to support Their family. Do better.

If I could give -0 I would. I've been on hold several times for hours. They can't even give me a legit reason as to why my fingerprint background came out as me not be eligible to work in the state of Florida and I already had work there before. Very unorganized. I need this job

As with other posters, I have been on hold with the background check department for over an hour!!! I have had my start date pushed back 3 times waiting for my background check to be processed. Apparently no one at the State of Florida health dept wants to do their jobs so those of us that do, can’t. Absolutely blood boiling..

If I could give "0" stars, I WOULD! Been on HOLD with the "Background Screening" department for almost an hour... AN HOUR!! I'm a FL RN about to lose my house to foreclosure because NO ONE will answer my questions on how to get my licenses back!!!

Not at all helpful!! When I call to see what's going on- they are rude and treat me as if I'm bothering them! I haven't been able to return to work for 15 weeks!! They have all the paperwork, but keep losing it. I've re-sent the same forms over 5 times!! Not only that the paperwork I'm told is acceptable by one person, is unacceptable to another. One form was used incorrectly as a reference letter, I could go on! They're horribly unprofessional, inefficient , and don't act as if they have the slightest interest in getting anyone back to work!!

I agree with the other review the service is not the best. I wonder how much they get paid to treat people so rudely I don’t understand problem was solved, but the service is awful. Dreading to call back for anything but this also results in more issues and phone calls which they already don’t want to deal with a little bit ironic…. Had to call twice the first call,The lady told me she couldn’t wait for more than 30 seconds on hold for me but I waited two hours for them the second phone call , The lady was a upset I asked her extra questions and hung up on me quickly without confirming I didn’t need any other help from her side.

If I could give this agency a negative rating I would. The people are rude and on top of that don't seem to know their jobs. One person told me after dialing for days and not being able to get in touch with anyone, that they don't work during the mid-day...what's this all about. There are shortages of workers and for some reason or other these individuals seem to be playing "God"! Just do your job assisting others in getting a job or straightening up issues and concerns.

Very rude customer service. I called to ask about a facility that a family member would like to open, I only had a few general questions to get some clarification so that we could get approved to open the correct facility. The first person I contacted did try to answer my questions, but continued telling me that I could get the information on the website. That's fine, I took her advice and tried looking online. I couldn't find the information so called back to ask where on the site I could find the info and also to ask a few more questions. I got another representative on the line who LAUGHED when I asked my question, and did not allow me to finish explaining my situation. I excused myself (politely) and tried letting her know that I would like to explain the entire situation so that it would be more clear, she gave me an attitude and told me that I had asked a question and she was trying to answer but couldn't because I "kept interrupting". No ma'am, you did not let me finish and I said excuse me only once to try to finish explaining myself. I was so upset by the rudeness that I quickly said never mind I'll call back at another time and hung up the phone. Very rude and uneccesary. If you're going to have people working with the public, have people who will actually attempt to be patient and help. Just because a piece of information might be obvious to you (because you work with it everyday) does not make it obvious to everyone else (especially someone who has never even touched the subject before), and allow people to finish explaining themselves before interrupting and trying to give a rude response. This person had me feeling stupid when she had no idea what the situation was.

Someone within the organization changed my mothers insurance arbitrarily without notifying anyone. The insurance they changed it is one that is not accepted at the assisted living she lives in. I have been trying to appeal it. I call, write, email and get no response. Hours per day is spent on this. Very bad....waste of time and this will cost me a fortune in uninsured care.

I submitted a complaint via phone, to a woman named, "Shalom" - in re Orange Park Medical Center who failed to do a proper workup on me as a cardiac pt in cardiac distress due to right sided hypertrophy, tachycardia, etc, and, the ER staff was dismissive, and hostile, failed to provide a 2nd opinion upon request, failed to show me my labs, etc, which is a violation of my patient's rights. "Shalom" failed to do an investigation, typed a report the same day, literally, after getting off the phone with me, and, it was in the mail the next day - denying any wrongdoings, by the hospital, who did not even do a CXR (chest x-ray) which is standard protocol, as well as failing to sanitize hands, or equipment, as well as inappropriately calling security who assaulted and battered me, and, upon going to restroom, with pulse ox, and HR at 165, OPMC failed to notate such, nurse lied stating dr wanted to know if I wanted to be admitted, and then stated I had to make a decision, but, being light headed, very tachycardic, SOB, and needing to sit, before collapsing, the Admin RN also failed to respond appropriately, and, the hospital threw away the ambulance EKGs which showed the problems in the right ventrical, right atrium, and OPMC's EKG showed left atrial enlargement as well - and, ACHA's "Shalom" dismissed the entire situation - as not being in violation of anything - sorry, ACHA - you all have done pretty good in the past with complaints I have filed against area hospitals over the years, on a few occasions, and investigated, by sending people to the hospital. I told "Shalom" I contacted medical records, and there was no signature on the discharge papers, as I was not given such, before being discharged and assaulted and battered. Failure to investigate is not acceptable under any circumstances, especially by a hospital who has been sued many, many times throughout the years. The ER Dr - Janel Laura Keener was poorly educated, and not at all knowledgeable of the cancer I have been treated for a very long time, and most patients with this disease die of right sided heart failure, which I have signs of documented back 2 1/2 years ago. I have a hx of heart attacks, strokes/TIAs, cancer, etc, with OPMC, and, this woman at ACHA did NOTHING to investigate - she listened to the situation, which much was caught on video, the rest on audio which was not played for her, but, she could hear the alarms of the pulse ox, with my heart rate at 165 BPM, etc, and, she still failed to investigate - even after giving her the link to the video - in which she did nothing! When medical records at OPMC affirmed no discharge papers were signed, and my admit papers disappeared, as did the ambulance EKGs, I am very skeptical of the ability or interest this woman at ACHA had in mine, or anyone's care. ACHA really failed to investigate, and I wonder why?? Here's the YouTube video, which I played for "Shalom" at ACHA, in which I pointed out the nurse lying multiple times, and, the alarm going off, and, the heart rate of 165, etc, and, she apparently was dismissive as the security (and off duty Clay Co. Sheriff Deputy in uniform on private duty at OPMC, who was aware of my filing Internal Affairs complaints, allowed the assault and battery to go on, and, refusing to allow me to sit, and blocking the entrance to my exam room to get my things. Security guard was standing there, putting his filthy hands on hospital equipment, and no call bell on bed, etc Here is the YouTube video of the hospital violating my rights, and complete and utter disregard for my well being as a patient, and lying about the discharge papers, and admission, etc... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lvjQuMp0EPw&t=749s -- When patients cannot openly rely on ACHA to do their jobs and properly investigate cases of patient neglect, and abuse, the person who failed to do such, in this instance, and likely others, ought to be terminated, as "Shalom" had no right to be dismissive, and, as soon as I got off the phone, just wrote a letter stating nothing was wrong! That's a load of BS!

Called to ask a question and was hung up on.
I thought it was a transfer error so I called back and the same lady hung up on me again immediately and then refused to even answer my 3rd call.
As I can see form the other review this company has many many people working for them that do not take customer service seriously and a few good ones that are being dragged down by the rest through association.
