Sushi Sogo Japanese Restaurant

The service was impeccable, Jorge was the server and he was amazing and very attentive l. The food was delicious and the place was amazing! I ordered udon with shrimp 🦐 tempura.

I am a regular here, so it might sound biased, but I hope it's a good biased review.
Come for the food, Stay for the memories! Great service, good food, amazing atmosphere. It's a local place, with a nice sense of belonging.

Give it a chance, and enjoy it.
My family loves coming here, my friends like it here... They must be doing something right....

By far the best sushi restaurant in Cooper City. You have to come for the salmon! Great business lunch with colleagues and friends.

The food was really good, the service, excellent, but unfortunately the sushi chef seemed to be in a really bad mood. We were the first table. They opened at 11:30, we got there at 11:45, he wasn't happy about it. The chef was very argumentative with the waiter. Another lady took her to go food and went back to tell the chef and the waiter that she felt mistreated and unappreciated . Another couple came in, same story. U could cut the stress in that restaurant with a butter knife. I work in a restaurant, and I also hate when I have to rush myself, but if you aren't ready when the joint is already opened, it's on you. I'm not sure if we would go back. My suggestion is to get to work on time or open later. Whatever beef you have with your co-workers, keep it to yourself while customers are in the dining room. Overall, unfortunately, it was a little bit stressful to be there.

Great local Japanese/Thai restaurant in Cooper City. New owners over for the past year. The time they renovated the place I made it a nice, cozy, intimate restaurant/wine bar. The owners are great people as are all of the staff.

its been 2 years since we have visited this place as we moved, and theres a new owner and new renovations. however, ive never seen an owner who talks and is as nice and caring to customers. the place is gorgeous (also the bathrooms) and the food was still good.
even though they took out our favourite jumping shrimp roll, we had the signature roll (asked for nori instead of soy paper) and the flavours were really good.

New owners did a great job with the restaurant. Complete face lift, awesome menu, A+ chefs and atmosphere uplifting & welcoming. Also has live music for that final touch. We found our new weekend spot.

The third time at this place, let's mention again that these guys developed the best sushi rolls than any place else...and believe me I tried.
Great portions, savory all the way, the wrapped and presentation above and beyond.
The product is well achieved and great service always, everyone is super kind and recommended.
Thanks to Jorge for his hospitality and the chef for knowing and understanding all our requirements, and coming out with handing out great options.
I would suggest a bit more evolved environment and perhaps a bit of trendy layout and music etc..

Prices are fair, although expectations are fulfilled for sure.

Awesome place, quality, service and price. One of the best sushi we had in years and unbelievable awesome ceviche. We had crusty roll, ll roll and Mexican roll, hard to tell which one was better. Fresh, clean, fast, can’t ask for more. We will be back soon.

We had Juan this evening and he was an excellent server. The food was fresh and delicious, we had the Sashimi Combo, Sushi Combo, and Chicken Teriyaki and everything was delicious. And the donuts at the end were so yummy and a beautiful presentation. The owner is always helping the staff and they remember you when you come in and make you feel like family. Always a treat!

Food was great! Got the veggie combo and miso soup, everything was delicious and nutritious. Food felt like it was prepared with care and tasted fresh!

Very good, fresh and tasty soups , sushi and others. Quick service and very polite staff. Also Japanese beers, wines and sake. A place to return.

Wow Sushi Sogo has new owners! We were pleasantly surprised by the totally renovated inside of restaurant. The food was amazing and service was fabulous! Cooper City's hidden gems! Sushi was fresh, cooked food was hot and the displayed was so beautiful also. If you haven't been to Sushi Sogo in the last year I suggest you give them another try. Support your local small businesses and enjoy!!
