Florida Highway Patrol - Troop H

A debt of gratitude is owed to Trooper Downing (Tallahassee area I-10). He set not only the safety bar high but he also served as a true hero to my 18 y/o daughter who was stranded at night, in the rain on I-10 (in the median). We live nearly 4 hours from there and she was beyond terrified, as was I. Her car was not drivable and had to be towed. He stayed with her through the entire ordeal with his lights on and gave her comfort and protection. Having never experienced anything remotely close to being stranded, all alone, on a rainy dark night and very far from home, this situation could have caused her to make dangerous decisions. A million thanks to Trooper Downing will never be enough. He is truly our hero!!

Got a well deserved speeding ticket yesterday. Officer DH Smith was profession and empathetic. Almost made the the experience enjoyable if that's possible. Thank you DH Smith(4093)!!! Keep up the great work!!!

I want to thank Tosh Bibb for her help. I had tried for 2 days to get through to the Motor Vehicle phone number no luck. I took a chance calling the Highway Patrol to see if someone there could give me another number to try. She could not give me the number but did transfer me and final I got to someone. She was amazing, very helpful. We need more people like her these days. Thank you again Tosh.

So this might be an odd thing to 5-Star considering I got a speeding citation from the officer in question. Trooper Trevor A. Johnson was probably one of the most professional and polite individuals I have met, and I believe law enforcement could use more officers like him.

I just wish I'd met him under better circumstances! xD

Totally disappointed. I am 69 years old and have had double knee surgery. Today, I got a flat tire just west of the Lloyd on I 10. After calling a dozen towing services and tire places with no luck, I was told to call FHP. I CALLED THEM AROUND 12:30 and was told they would send some one out. Gave the description of my car and where I was located. At 2:30, I called back, was told they would be there soon. My husband called and said he would come, from Cairo, Ga. He got there at 3:30 and in tbe sweltering heat my hubby, with COPD got my tire changed. At 4:30, we finally were able to head home, with still no sign of any FHP or the Road Rangers. Three patrol cars went past me during my 4 hour wait, they didn't even slow down. A couple of miles east, there was a young lady with a car on the side of the road. Right in front of us, a patrol car going east, puts on his flashing lights and crosses the median to go to the aid of the pretty young lady. I guess old white-haired ladies aren't worth the time of day.

The troopers today do not belong in Florida. They do not know Florida laws. They do not respect Floridians(real Floridians) my ss# says that I belong here... they don't. Hire real Floridians .
