The Burg Automotive

I've been to Burg Automotive 3× now and I'm blown away on their amazing service in so many ways.
When I've called they've answered promptly(rare these days), fully explained the service, price, and scheduling. The gentleman there offered me snacks and beverages when I've waited in the clean, comfortable waiting room. They even had free snacks for my pup 🐶.
The service was reasonably priced, done on time and done better than the Mercedes dealer where I purchased my car. I can go on about the excellent service all day, but to sum it all up, they go above and beyond and I'd recommend them to anyone that could, to go find out for yourselves.

I called The Burg a year or so back because I had a leak in my car so rain was getting in. They were super nice and said that they wished they were Superman but that wasn’t something they did. They gave me a number to a guy that was able to fix it. Because of them taking the time to help me before I was a customer, I decided the next time I needed anything, I was going to use them. Fast forward to later, my car was rattling going over even the smallest bump. They found the issue so quickly. It wasn’t the easiest fix but they ordered the part and got it done in a timely manner. I’ve had no issues since. The customer service is amazing and when you walk in, they are dressed to the nines and the place is super clean! Thank you to The Burg Automotive! You will continue to be my place for my cars needs! ❤

This will definitely not be my last visit! This is my first time not going to the dealer after being quoted 1700+ to do brake pads and rotors I was able to spend far less here while getting the best customer service and tech work, I do recommend the burg automotive for your car needs JEFF the advisor has given a great impression with customer service I’ll definitely be coming back thanks guys

Went to a mechanic that I've been using for years because my car wouldn't go into Park, and he told me that I would need to overhaul my transmission for around $3,600! I went to the burg automotive for the first time the next day to tell them what was going on, and they told me that I did not need a new transmission, so I had it towed to them and Jeff got right on it! Thank you to the burg automotive for saving me so much money, when I was completely stressed over the whole situation!

They came recommended by Chris (review below). I will admit, I did receive a comparable estimate, but it wasn't the same vibe. This team was thorough, honest and upfront, and professional. Shout out to Vance, Christian, and Bo. Let's be honest, it wasn't cheap, but I needed lots of work on the front end suspension (thanks to the great Pinellas county roads) and now the car rides so much better. I highly recommend The Burg Automotive. I'll be back.

Most difficult part about moving to a new state and city is finding an honest and reliable automotive shop. You will find that here. Vance was incredible with communication and assistance and Matt was able to get my car up and running again who was the assigned technician.

However, what struck me most was all who work here treated each individual the same with the best customer service, quality of work, and overall experience.

This place is legit great. Keep reading if you've been having a hard time, or perhaps you're neurodivergent like me and you need to know what to expect!

My foster dad was a mechanic that refurbished alternators and starters. He worked with various shops in St Pete, and I promise you these guys are where I'll be bringing all my business for so many reasons.

But here's the core of it: Car repairs are hard, especially when you're struggling to make ends meet. It's hard to make decisions about these things, it's hard to take these steps, and it takes WARMTH and SUPPORT and CONNECTION to help some of us take ANY steps in this world.

And these guys have it DOWN.

Let me tell you a little story... you see, what had happened was... and then this, and then that, and it's been a hard decade... life... you know... long story short, I am trying to get back on my feet and I needed wheels and I had a broken down 2000 Honda Accord.

I wasn't really sure if it made sense to invest money into it, or not and asked them to help me make the decision. I called and talked to them multiple times before I got my car there, they helped me feel super comfortable and respected the whole time.

And my car is running great! I have my own wheels again! I'm so grateful to have mobility again.

My advisor Jeff was WARM, he was ENCOURAGING, he was SUPPORTIVE and was incredibly gracious each time I had to get off the phone for a bit to panic and process! :) I really couldn't have done it without him and everyone being REALLY great.

This was SUCH a big thing to have to do, I had to raise the money and Jeff helped me take my time and did his best to make sure I got the best price and went the extra mile.

Jeff really took the time to help me understand each repair, and to prioritize what and when.

He also helped me prepare for everything I might experience in the car now. (A loose this, an old that)

He supported me in the process of making decisions about keeping the car or not, he helped me feel good about the choices I made, he helped me make choices about which things to hold off on, quite honestly... just like my foster dad might have if he were still here. I think he'd be impressed. (and would probably try to convince you to do business with him)

So impressed with this shop! I went in with a warning light on in my dash. The team gave me a quote for a diagnostic. They ended up discovering the problem more quickly than expected and only charged me about 1/3 of the quoted amount. On top of that… they let me know that the ($500+) repair my car needed would be covered under a factory recall if I took it to the dealership instead of having the repairs done there (which I would never have known). I’m blown away by the honesty of the team at The Burg Auto! They’ve got a customer for life now. Highly recommend!

Had a dead battery in our Honda Odyssey. I called in the morning and asked for a quote to install, and told them I wouldn't be able to bring it in until 4PM.
They assured me that was no problem. Got the van up there and they took care of it sooner than I expected.
Very nice people clean shop and waiting area. Great price too! Will not hesitate to recommend to my friends and will return when I need help again. Thank you BURG!!!

I had my car serviced at Berg and a new set of quality tires installed. They did an excellent job, everyone was super professional, polite and personable. I will definitely be back and highly recommend this place.

Rolled up with a large screw in my tire without calling first. Before I'd even gone into the office I'd already been greeted & the car was being pulled around to be fixed. The entire ordeal took less than 15 minutes & they even didn't charge to fix the near flat. Very kind, quick, professional team! Will absolutely be back!!

Wonderful quick service!! My car needed control arms and AC work. They laid out a detailed action plan of items needing to be fixed by order of importance. This was easy to follow and allowed me to complete the services over a 90 day period. Highly recommend!!

I brought my car in because I destroyed my side mirror. My car was brand new, so too expensive to go through Honda. The Burg took on the hassle of finding something similar, ordering it, and then installing it, and making sure I was happy every step of the way. Auto shops have reputations for taking advantage of customers, especially women, but not The Burg. The owner, Shawn, is a sweetheart - I trust him and anyone he hires to do good, honest work. If I lived closer, I’d go there for everything, but you can bet I’ll be driving there for the big stuff! What a cute, clean lobby, too.

When my car broke down due to a transmission malfunction, a neighbor recommended I call The Burg because he had had work done there and he said they did a good job. Once they had my car and figured out what needed to be done they ordered the part. They were given the run-around by the parts company. But Jeff stayed on it and kept me up to date almost daily and he was doing his best to get answers from the parts people. When it finally came in it was the wrong part and Jeff just went into high gear and found the part and got it installed. He went above and beyond and out of his way to fix my car. He said he saw it as a challenge. I wish I could give more than 5 stars. If I ever have a problem with my car again I definitely know where to take it. Thank you Burg!

What a great neighborhood auto place. I had great customer service on the phone when I initially called and also in person when I took my vehicle in. Jeff and the team are knowledgeable and explained what I needed versus what could be put off to a later date in order to stay within my budget. Coming from only using larger dealerships, I don’t know why I didn’t look for them sooner!

**Pros:
Firstly, I want to comment on the top-tier customer service at The Burg. I had a tire that was continuously losing 7-10psi each week. After returning from an overseas deployment, I knew I had to get the tire repaired or replaced. They squeezed me in immediately after I called to see if they could inspect the tire, then replaced all 4 tires and completed an oil change the same day. ADDITIONALLY, the company organizes a complimentary Lyft for you to go home while you wait, and another Lyft to bring you back to pick up your vehicle. Absolutely great customer service.
**Cons:
The only negative about my visit was that after picking up my vehicle the tire light was still illuminated. On the way home I checked the air pressure in all 4 tires, and the front left tire was 5psi low. Not a huge deal, but after spending over $700 on tires, it was a little annoying to have to spend 20min outside checking the tire pressures and inflating brand new tires. However, the customer service was so great I can’t take off a star. Highly recommend going to The Burg, and I plan on returning for future visits.
