GENUINE BISTRO & LOUNGE

Stopped by about an hour before closing and had great meal. There’s an exciting new menu and what we ordered was delicious and cooked perfectly to order. (Med-rare). No complaints. Good service and can’t wait to see what’s in store next. ;)

We had a very large group of maybe 25 people for lunch. The staff was very attentive and pleasant. Our orders came out fast and accurate. The fish and chips were excellent. The burgers were cooked accurately and d were huge.

Incredible. High end food simply presented. Clams raised by owner. Salmon blackened on candied beet salad. Lemon cake raspberry parfait. Name is changing in July to Salted Goat. You won’t be disappointed!

Definitely worth a go! The food was expertly created and the service was spot on. It's not a quick serve situation, but worth the wait. The acoustic music outside was just right for an easy Saturday night. The artichoke dip and the calamari were a perfect start to the meal and evening. The pot roast was so sumptuous, it threw off short rib vibes. My friends ordered Ahi tuna and the fried pork special, which they enjoyed. It's food well done in a non fussy atmosphere. I'll try their brunch next!

Every time we go it gets better and better. It has taken some time to get rid of the old, and bring in the new, but it sure is happening. Had a wonderful meal last night of brick airline chicken and Greek salad, along with the little neck clam appetizers. Everything including the service was on point. The wine list is coming along nicely, too. We are beyond thrilled to see the new ownership taking charge, making positive changes, and creating a wonderful, farm-to-table experience. And, don't forget the artwork hanging is all by local artists, and most of it is for sale. How cool is that? Bravo.

Two of us had the steak and tomato Flatbread.... it was to die for.
One had the chicken marsala yummy also
And the other dish was chicken picata yummy as well

Artichoke dip for an appetizer was soooo good !! No picture we were to hungry !!

Friday night music on the patio was good.

Finally, my husband and I stopped in at Genuine Bistro for the first time last week. This restaurant has been on our list for quite some time. I have always admired the small building with the large porch when driving by. Some family of mine dined here earlier in the month and could not stop raving - we had to go. We were pleasantly surprised by just how large the patio was. You don't have the prettiest view, but the fans allow you to enjoy your meals outdoors easily. I also explored the inside, and it was lovely. They definitely put a good amount of effort into the decor! As for my husband and me, he ordered the burger, and I chose meatloaf. There were a number of items that were out, but there were still a good amount of really great options. My husband enjoyed his burger and the fresh chips that accompanied it. My meal was even more impressive. I loved the meatloaf and the sauce that topped it. Mmm...creamy mashed potatoes, too! Despite the Brussels sprouts being a bit overcooked and soggy, the rest of the meal was delicious! Next time we are in the area, we will definitely be back.

update went back to the restaurant today and noticed something was different right away. it has changed ownership recently i was told not to worry the food i had today was excellent the fish and chips was halibut not cod 😊😊 the server was great always ready to bring whatever we asked for. bloody mary was excellent 👍👍👍

first time visit I’ve lived here for 30 years driven by the place we would never stop my
friend and I went in today for lunch it was delicious I had the Fish and chips which were delicious Kim got salad with grilled chicken breast black and I had a taste of that it was also delicious I highly recommend this place I will be going back again soon A great place to spend an evening fire pits outside very nice

The new menu, farm to table is very good. We had the Airline Chicken and King Salmon. The service is much better than it used to be. Very friendly atmosphere. Enjoyed the live music on patio. Only thing that would make it better is if there was a sound barrier towards the road to help buffer the road noise close by. Will definitely return. We had the rum runners and they were excellent too.

Omg. Do yourself a favor and order the calamari appetizer!! It was huge! Tell you the truth, all of the food was delicious. From Perogis to the meatloaf to the scallops:) oh my!

Great Atmosphere, great fresh food. Great drinks too. I had Fish and chips with a Mai Tai'🍽🍹😋 we sat outside. Very very good, will go there again to eat. Highly recommended 😁👍🏼👍🏼

Been wanting to dine here for awhile now. So glad we did. Their fish & chips are the best in town! Our waitress Ashley was the best! Definitely going back.

This place was awesome, sat outside and it was nicely shaded and there were even dogs allowed which is great. The portions were huge and everything was delicious and affordable. Highly recommend

Delicious, freshly prepared food at a great price. The staff was super friendly and attentive! The brisket burger was one of the best burgers I’ve ever had, hands down. Great place to take friends for a drink or family for lunch! Will be coming here every time I find myself in this area! Always love supporting a small business restaurant who puts a lot of love and care into their food and their establishment!

Beef tips salad was fantastic and a portion larger than I could comfortably eat. Tiramisu for desert was also good, but I have had better. The wait staff were on point and friendly, especially for a late Sunday evening when I know I was tired and so we're they.

Well this place is one of my top in Debary. First time goers.... we got fish and chips, artichoke dip, soup of the day, a coke and 1 glass of pinot grigio... for $35.... and we took food home.....look at the pics and u will understand

I want to preface this review by saying this is a '5 star for Florida' review. Of all the eateries I've been dragged to by my elderly relatives over the years when we visit them in FL, this is by far the best one. They had interesting takes on dishes that were delicious, and options for people with dietary restrictions. They also had an oyster bar, though we didn't partake so I can't say how it was.

The service was only OK, but still decent by Florida standards. A bit pricey for the area, but I can live with that because the food was good...I'll absolutely be recommending we go there next time we visit.

They definitely don't skimp on their cocktails. I have bariatric surgery so I shouldn't be drinking too much and I was feeling really tipsy after one Long Island iced tea. Which is more I can say from most places. The service was excellent the food was tasty, all though I only had the ability to eat a an appetizer. I wasn't expecting live music. I didn't expect it but it wasn't my choice.. I would have wanted something more quiet, but overall a great experience!
