This place is amazing with friendly staff, sharable plates and it's so affordable. I've never had latin food this good! The empanadas are enormous and range from $2-2.50 and they're MASSIVE about 6-7" and loaded with meat and cheese and made to order! I also got fried pork with tostones for $6.99 (Also massive) and pernil with cilantro rice and a tripleta sandwich (that was half a baguette for 8.99). All thier ingredients are fresh! Even the cilantro! Thier highest price dish 11.99 and it's all amazing. They even let us try a sizable amount of pernil before we got it( pic below of bowl after we all had a few bites and there were four of us) I HIGHLY recommend this place, don't pass it up even if it's small and homey!

Un Sueño Cafe is a hidden jem that offers a delightful taste of home with mom and grandma's pepper onion steak with fried green plantains with a twist on mayoketchup . The food is delicious, the service is excellent, and every bite feels like a warm embrace from family.

This is by far the best Spanish food I’ve had in Florida. It takes me back home to being with family and eating good Spanish food. The owner is an amazing women each time I go she is so welcoming and positive and friendly. I recommend a million times. I always feel at home here and the Dominican breakfast I love ordering is to die for. This is a place you have to stop by and check for yourself.

I got the ham and cheese with egg and my husband got the Cuban sandwich and they were both amazing and she is so sweet You should totally come here

I was given a free plate by the very nice lady in the front, and it’s literally the best Latin food I’ve had.. GO !!

One woman show. I would say everything is perfect except it’s a one person show. It’s a slow process, but worth the wait. I’ll give her credit, because the food is amazing. She is very sweet as well. Definitely worth it

This place is so good. I think it's the best food I've had of this kind. I had pork rice beans salad with avocado and plantains. These plantains amazing. The beans and rice very very good. Please try this place and taste how amazing the food is. The owner is amazing and so nice.. mucho excelente!!!

This place is a gem. They serve very affordable and huge servings of food made with love. We had tostones, Cuban Sandwich (one of the best in FL), and pernil (pork). It feels like you’re walking into a Caribbean or Central American restaurant and the service is as authentic as the food!

Warm, friendly experience - like having your mom make you breakfast in her kitchen. Loving hugs from the owner after she served a most delicious pressed Cuban egg bacon cheese sandwich, freshly made Cuban coffee, delicious. The eggs were perfectly cooked. Will be back and bring friends! Highly recommended

The restaurant is open until 6pm, not 7 like it says online and although we arrived at 5:55 the owner made us fresh dinner plates and gave us a ton of food.

I forgot to take a picture of the beans but it was so much I make 2 if not 3 meals from one plate.

We drove by after some hiking at the nearby State Park. No regrets at all! The owner treated us very nicely and offered her preferred choice of food. It's good value for money, next time around we will definitely come again.

Small town, hole-in-the-wall Spanish food cafe that leaves you feeling you just spent time with family. Food is deliciously home cooked and is complimented with a cozy atmosphere. Come here with an empty stomach - you will NOT regret it. I am there for the scrumptious Domincian inspired FULL plate breakfast that lasts ALL DAY! 😋 😀 😊

Hubby & I came after visiting Blue Springs State Park. Had an amazing time with the friendly, welcoming owner. Read reviews from Yelp that were all 5 stars and were skeptical, but we loved it! The owner was the sweetest and made us feel like we were guests in her house. She is Dominican Republican and her husband is Puerto Rican. She asked us how we found the place and she was so pleased to see they had 5 stars on Yelp. She told us about her daughter and asked about us, she was really like a beloved Aunt.

We'd never had puerto rican food and with hubby's onion allergies, worried he wouldn't be able to eat here. But we told the owner and she assured us no onions in the sancocho (the soup). So far hubby's tummy is ok, so glad he got to try it!

The fried chicken + rice reminded me of how my mom cooks the chk, Burmese style, but we add a tiny bit of oil, salt and lemon into the rice too.

The fried plantains were not as sweet as I expected but hubby liked it. We also had flan, forgot to take photo, slice was small but yum. The texture is a bit more cake-like than pudding-like which is what I'm used to, perhaps that's puerto rican style? The beans were also delicious.

Our Spanish wasn't great (but she was very pleased we tried) and her English wasn't the best, so we pretty much just told her to bring whatever she wanted as long as no onions lol. So I'm not sure about the price break down, but for 2 sancochos, 2 rice+ chk, fried plantains, beans, soda, flan, we were charged $28 total + tipped 30%. Huge portions, so we had enough for 1.5-2 meals. I was full after our late lunch and didn't feel hungry the rest of the day.

So sad we're visiting Orlando and her shop is 1-1.5hr away. Definitely visit before/after you see the manatees at Blue Springs State Park! It's a hole in the wall but amazing food and amazing company that you'll love if you're a Go with the Flow kind of person who loves to try new foods and support local mom and pop shops. Stay away if you really can't handle that she can't speak fluent English or need a schmancy place.

The food here was very good. Amazingly huge portions and inexpensive.

Miss Francisca is the gem of the entire operation and I pray for all of the blessings that God can shower on her. She was so kind and her food was delicious. May all of her dreams (sueños) come true!

Great sandwich! Little bit slow because the lady wants to make it perfectly crispy! Don’t forget the special sauce.

Very impressed with this place! Finally some really good Latin food in DeLand/ Orange City area! The roast pork is so moist and flavorful... and the pork chops are fried crisp and seasoned well! They do their sweet plantains just perfect :)

Food is simply delicious, the empanadas are the best I’ve ever had and the woman who cooks the food is so friendly warm and nice like she’s an old school grandma making delicious meals for you.
