When you walk in you just have to say to yourself “man it’s nice and clean and very specious”. I just knew the food had to be good. I ordered Red Snapper, cassava leaf w/rice and a side of plantains. I almost ate the container the food was so good 😋 I definitely recommend this restaurant and bar. LIB 🇱🇷💙 And I’m Aboriginal American(black) if you must know so no cap 🧢

I had Liberian food for the first time on my birthday back in June upon recommendation of a friend of mine from Liberia. I only have one word: DELICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
In addition to the delicious food I was served, the atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the owner even came out to greet me!

I've had the fufu and pepper soup and the potatoe greens and rice. Both very good. Authentic Liberian food with enough meat. I especially liked the fufu n soup. The hot pepper sauce was nice too. Can't wait to try the dry rice next time.

Great food! We found this place while passing through Lawrenceville and I’m so happy that we decided to eat here. This is a smaller restaurant where the chef and her husband are personally making sure you have a wonderful dining experience. Friendly staff. Great food that has an delicious traditional Liberian flare that I’ve never tried before. I’ll definitely be back.

The food is seasoned, fresh and delicious. My first time here was 5-6 years ago when I visited, now I live here and it’s my favorite African restaurant. All the food is delicious but my favorite is potato greens, Fufu & soup and dry rice!

My husband and I went there today not knowing that they were closed on Sundays. Jerry was so nice to us and still served us because we traveled a good distance just to try their food. The customer service they gave us was absolutely wonderful and above and beyond. And the food is amazing! Really good price for the amount of food they give you. I couldn't even finish it all. I had to save some for later.

I’ve been dreaming about this food since I left! I had fufu and collard greens with smoked meats! I think the greens are actually Cassava leaves.. I’m not sure! However the food was amazing! My husband had the fried fish with seasoned rice! We loved it so much that we literally ordered what we were eating at the table, to go. Couldn’t get enough!

I will say, the food at this place is delicious. Omg, I had a good experience with them. I live in Ohio and I usually order my food. I just love how they packed my food. Their food is yummy and it tastes so good. People, you guys need to try the village. This is the first Liberian cuisine place that I like. The food is wonderful. I do not usually write reviews, but I had to come and tell you guys that this place's foods is so good!

I have grown up eating Liberian food daily, my family has even owned Liberian restaurants so I feel I know good Liberian food. This was delicious and just like eating at home! I was hesitant since I have had no so great experiences at other establishments but the food was amazing! I'm craving the okra and the pepper soup as I type this review. The plantain chips were fresh and an awesome snack my girls loved! My seven year old gave this place 5 stars! She loved the pepper soup. Will be returning very soon!

Liberian food is so delicious! I had a best friend growing up and her Liberian mother would make the most tastiest dishes. I came to The Village and enjoyed every bite.. ( I ate the collard greens.. And if you never had Liberian style collard greens.. You haven't enjoyed collard greens at it maximum potential) My husband had the fried fish and seasoned dry rice. His fish was well seasoned and big for the price. The rice was excellent it had a smoked fish flavor. Eating here brought back so many memories. The restaurant owners are very friendly and the place is very clean and welcoming... Give your taste buds an adventure you won't regret.. and that won't break your pockets either...

Decided to stop by for lunch here while on a job. Food and service is fantastic. The food is made to order, so it takes a little while, but it's worth it. Price is a little high but but for the quality and portion, it's still reasonable. I've never had Liberian food before, so this was a great introduction to the food for me. Also, it should be noted that the menu is fairly small, and rotates on a daily basis. It makes ordering very easy, though. I look forward to coming here again with my wife.
