Sawnee Mountain Preserve Visitor Center

It was a nice hike and a nice view. I think it is worth a visit. Restrooms were clean and parking was good. I wanted to take some time to get in some hikes.

Really enjoyed my hike here on Saturday! We began the trail at the Visitor’s center. There’s a super cute pond (with turtles!) at the start and a fairy garden a short walk ahead too. I would rate this a moderate hike for the newbies and relatively easy for the more experienced.

You’ll get a great sweat in and want to rest just in time for a beautiful view!

Bonus, we saw the closed gold mine entrance and got shocked my a pretty big snake falling from a tree and crossing our path 😅

This is a great local place to go for a moderate hike and beautiful views. There are a few different hikes to the top whether you are looking for just over a mile or several miles.

Pack a lunch and eat it at the top while soaking in a beautiful day and awesome view.

Love this hiking trail so much! Very quiet, trail is moderate, around 3 miles, I will suggest wear the comfort hiking shoes rather than the running shoes. if the weather good, stand in the summit you can see the mountains in GA. Stone Mountain, blood mountain and others. Highly recommended!

My daughter was doing a special project and wanted to see a Mother Nature space that she could visit and maybe see a rabbit,dear or bear. Smile we went and saw other wonderful plants and mushrooms. Want to go back so I can walk all the way up to the top for the view. Parking was ample and bathrooms were clean.

I absolutely love this trail and reaching Indian Seats. The view is breathtaking and worth the trek. It's very good for cardio and get your heart pumping😊

It was an amazing hike! I went with a hiking group and had a blast. We saw a family of deer, amazing views, and got a much needed workout. Please go enjoy yourself and bring a friend!

Always a warm welcome before a hike. We enjoy the cleanliness of the bathrooms and the water fountains here.

It is a well maintained trail with great additional parking. The signs are useful and we suggest following all of the paths that lead towards "indian seats"

Fun little visitor center with a bunch of info about the surrounding area that offers great activities and learning opportunities for kids. The trail to the seats was a blast as well, be prepared to go uphill but it was more than worth it

Great moderate hike to get your blood flowing. They have a nice visitor center with information. No dogs allowed. The trail is well marked and is dirt with lots of rocks.

Great place to go and enjoy the outdoors. Great park for the kids too play across from the reserve. A must if you have never been.

A beautiful, moderate hike to the Indian Seats on top. Great views all around the top. Plus there is plenty to keep kids busy like the huge treehouse, the turtles, and things in the visitor center.

Wonderful trails and a good hiking place. Definitely for a beginner or for short hike on a weekend. Offers short trails. I did the Indian seats trails and mountain side trails along with my wife. We liked the hike. Will visit again. I recommend this hike.

great place for hiking so close to Atlanta. Please note that it is a Nature Preserve and dogs are not allowed. There many hiking trails with elevation gain and have rocky terrain

Great park. Easy loop trail. Some elevation that is good to get heart rate up but not too steep for kids. No dogs allowed.

Found this park on the internet. Had a great hike with my daughter. Nice views. The trail was easy to follow. Is a wonderful morning on the hill.
