City Roots Coffee Bar

We ended up at this place with my family looking for a cozy place to have coffee. This was the perfect spot for us.
The kids had a blast and they enjoyed their drinks as well.
Crème brûlée was delicious (better than STBX to be honest). The service was great. This whole area has been transformed from an electric company factory into bars, coffee house and retailers (gift stores).
Definitely worth making it your spot to visit for coffee with family and friends.

Great hangout spot! Has plenty of seating space, love the bar chairs. The service is above and beyond, very quick and friendly. Their music selection was also memorable ♥

Been meaning to check it out Electric Depot and my coworker finally got me here raving about the Kenya Roast coffee at City Roots Coffee.

Ended up getting Banana Foster (because I prefer flavored lattes). It wasn't better than PJs Butterscotch Rum but it was good and the espresso definitely kicked in.

The ambience, peaceful and serene environment got me hooked. Will definitely be back.

Very cool cafe with pretty good coffee. They have some baked goods too. The staff members are nice are very competent. They have plenty of seating area inside and a lot more on the outside. Stays open till 9 usually. The decorations are nice and music is understated. The parking area is shared with a few other businesses so the parking on either sides can be used.

Coffee shop isolated in the north side electric depot. Craft coffee well prepared in a renovated industrial space. Unique selection of coffees. 4-6 baked good options with some more breakfast sustenance options.

Loved the interior tremendously! The coffee was also very delicious. The stuffs are great too. Would love to visit this again.

I decided to finally check out City Roots on my lunch break and I didn't regret it. The staff and environment is inviting. I enjoyed the decor and they even have outside sitting. I ordered the mocha and was pleased with it's taste and consistency. I very much recommend this place.

We love this place. Great for morning or evening dates, studying, or meeting up with friends. They have the best tasting coffee we ever had. They have great prices. The staff was so friendly and quick.

Amazing selection of drinks that changes with the season. Food is pretty good, but less of a selection, which is important if you are going to stay and work on stuff. Usually full of people working, but I've always found at least one seat.

Cute and unique coffee. Fresh muffins. Good non dairy hot chocolate. The staff is helpful and nice. The restroom are clean which shows how they want their customers to have a good overall experience. Good job guys!

The best coffee that I have ever put in my mouth. Highly recommend the coffee cake, it tastes like oatmeal cookie dough. Friendly staff that knows how to make a drink right. Thanks City Roots!

This place is a hidden gem! It feels like you're on vacation it's so unique and quiet! The latte and coffee was excellent!!! Free wifi and just positive vibes all around!

This is a really wonderful, quiet, and hidden spot open later than most coffee shops with amazing atmosphere, stellar chai tea lattes, and friendly serving staff. I will probably spend most of my time here before I graduate coffee going forward because I’m in grad school and need a quiet, upbeat place to study away from home. Absolutely loved it. Highest recommendations. Oh and the baristas were playing early 2000s music which my millennial heart quite happy.

WOW! I have loved this place for a minute now but I need to brag about customer service. I ordered from DoorDash two bags of coffee beans since I just had a baby and was out of coffee I very much needed. City Roots accidentally sent only one bag (it happens!) When I called to see what happened, they immediately offered to not only deliver the remaining coffee beans to me, but also a drink as well to my front doorstep! As a new mom, this was the nicest gesture and act of kindness. Can’t say good enough things about this place! Great service, amazing drinks, and good atmosphere. Favorite local spot.

Really good vibes. Good coffee. Their seasonal drink selection is always really creative, but sometimes they are very sweet. Just ask them if they can make it less sweet when you order. The baristas are always so nice. The s’mores latte and crème brûlée lattes are so good.

I'm from BR but have been living out of state since 2017. Finally got to visit and saw this added to Mid City.
This is the coffee bar that BR has been needing! I'll be dreaming about a shakerato from now on. The menu is well crafted, and the atmosphere is fitting for what appears to be a revitalized.

Best coffee I have had in Baton Rouge yet.
