A little pricy from yester-year, but enjoyed my favorite the cajun turkey breast poboy toasted with chips and soda...

Absolutely one of the best Po-Boys in Baton Rouge. My parents have been bringing me here since I was young and they haven’t let me down once in the food or the service. Now that I’m old enough I get general groceries, occasional Po-Boys, and a case of beer for the guys while I’m here and I have never been let down. Totally recommend going to get a Po-Boy at least once here and if you like it you should try to be a regular customer.

Always friendly people and orders are always ready when I arrive (I call them in). Granted I usually visit on weekends, so I cannot speak for weekday lunch rush wait times. Cannot beat a poboy, chips and drink for about $10.00. And good selection of sandwiches. Highly recommended.

The poboys are incredible. Prepared in-house by the man of the couple who owns it. They are super friendly and kind. Their prices for food and regular groceries are great. Absolutely love this place!

I can’t explain what makes these poboys so good, but I crave them regularly from this run down little liquor store.

It’s cheap, and great quality. The pulled pork po-boy with the fries and the drink are quite a lot for $11 including tax are definitely not overpriced. Great vietnamese people running the place. Sauce is very nice!

It’s a gem. Lot of the students come here. Probably one of the best deals in town. A decent po boy drink and chips for 10$.
They’re essentially hot pressed sandwiches on french bread.
Ideal for when in a hurry, or do not want to mingle. You can call it in 3 miles down the road and it’s ready. BR has a lot of my favorite places to eat. This is good when you’re not trying to dine in and spend some money.

They have been making the best sandwiches in Baton Rouge for over 30 years.

Best deli meat po boys in Baton Rouge. The cajun turkey or the roast beef fully dressed are both awesome. It can be busy, but they are pretty quick. No seating as it is a gas station spot but it's really good for a tasty takeout meal

If I am not in the area and am craving a good sandwich, I immediately try to find something as close to American Market as possible. My favorite sandwich in LA. I typically get the pastrami and swiss fully dressed and I am convinced there is nothing better. When I am waiting on my order, its always busy and the sandwich I see most people order is the cajun turkey with jack so it must be good. Great service, its quick, and totally worth it. ✌

I am convinced that these are the best poboys in Baton Rouge. I have been going there for four years. The lunch special is very affordable, and the poboys are delicious. Try the Bahn Mi for something different!

I love this place. I think it's a family run business, and they're good people. One of my favorite sandwiches ever and probably the best in town (as indicated by their sign in the window).

Amazing poboys!!! A place where you can still get a great lunch for under $10! Incredible cigar, wine, beer and liquor selection! Diamond in the rough!!!

This place is the shining light in the darkness of overpriced sandwiches in baton rouge. Do yourself a favor and GO. Get the cajun turkey dressed however you like and thank me later. You can't beat the deal 7.50 for a GOOD sandwich, 20oz fountain drink and a snack size potato chips.

Take this order to the employee behind the sandwich counter- Cajun turkey with provolone (no pickles for me), add jalapenos- then give them your name. This is a sandwich that will become one of your top 10 of all time. The wait is about 3-5 minutes since other sandwiches are likely ahead of you, but grab a fountain drink (included with your sandwich) and be patient. You are 3-5 minutes away from a happy belly.

Best sandwiches in town period. Not to even mention the price, $6.99 for a poboy, drink, and chips. Can't decide which is better: the bahn mi or cajun Turkey. Awesome place. Also it's a convenience/liquor store so they got whatever your craving really

Went in here tonight to order a sub sandwich.. was not asked if I wanted it hot or cold and when I told them I intended for it to be cold they gave me my money back and took a loss on wasted food and basically told me I can’t eat there .. instead of keeping the money correcting the order and also keeping a customer.. not to mention I’m huge and pregnant and feel like that whole situation was handled badly by them.. that is what you call “bad business” skills .. I still got my sandwich somewhere else .. and American market has one less customer and a food loss in the trash (who really lost out?) 0 stars do not recommend .. poor service.

With no apologies to the chain sandwich shop just down the road, this place is the BEST lunch deal in the Nicholson & Brightside area. $7 gets you a nice sized po-boy, bag of Zapp's and a 20oz. fountain drink. Nice local corner market run by friendly staff. You should make this your regular lunch stop if you live or work in the area.
