It was a pleasure working with Javier Hernandez. Very Professional and always on time and available. Extremely important for a contractor to be available. Javier finished the job in the time designated. 7 weeks for the reno job, complete gut of kitchen and master bath. He took my designs and finishes and turned them into reality. All his staff was very patient and did a great detailed job. His tile man Elmer is the BEST! If you look at the photos of the shower you will see the back wall looks like one piece of marble. This was an expensive project with very high end materials. We got a fair price and excellent workmanship. Great cabinetry for a great price! We recently moved to the area and have had a lot of work done on our house by multiple companies. Javier and his team were not only professional, responsive, on time!!! and friendly, but also motivated to complete the work in a timely manner with skill and precision.

With the OTHER companies we hired, I was shocked by the poor communication, excessive damage to property, little to no response from management, and always running 1-3 hours late to a job. So working with America's Best was a nice reminder that there are hard working, trustworthy companies in the area!

Working with Javier helps to understand how the insurance coverage works. This was not something I could have done on my own. Javier acted almost like an insurance attorney providing invaluable advice. So, the moral of the story is that you need Javier to guide you through your coverage. However, this does not mean that you leave everything to Javier and sit in the corner. You have to understand what is covered and what is not and be ready to supplement your extras out of your pocket to realize your own expectations. The paintwork is a good example; the insurance won't pay the Benjamin Moore paint, and what they pay for doesn’t do much beauty. Then you have to follow up and make sure you pay the extra for what you really want. This works with everything; if you work with Javier on your budget, you will need to take his lead with the third-party contractors. The other deceptive element of insurance is the timing; if you depend on the money coming from the insurance, the process takes forever. The insurance reinstallation is a business model, a system, and there is no logic to it. When supplemental requests are involved, the insurance pays $1000 to accommodation instead of instantly approving a $500 supplemental. The process is very frustrating, and people get frustrated; however, Javier NEVER says NO. Whatever you want, he finds a way to deliver. He did the re-paint job for free with the paint of my choice. I was unhappy with some installations. He immediately got them fixed. One other thing is that Javier never bothered me with payment timing. He was pretty flexible. He did not even call for follow-up. I read the negative reviews on the website, BUT the point is that Javier is not the reason for customer frustration. Construction work is an expensive open-ended process; the products we usually get are not top-notch Armani Casa style, they are what insurance covers and the process is frustratingly time-consuming unless you pay up-front and ready to pay for extras. So the frustration-cause is not Javier; it is the difference between what it is and what we want to be. Javier worked on my place for several months; his team is reliable, honest, and trustable.

The staff were professional and easy to work with on our project. They were able to repair the water damage to our doorframe, due to poor construction by the home builder, at a fraction of the cost. Would definitely recommend them for your home project!

Javier Hernandez has been a joy to work with, he explained every detail of the project, remained on schedule, bought in talented craftsman to transfer my basement from a smelly shell to the beautiful family living space that it is today. America's Best is absolutely incredible. Javier and his team handled the clean up from some flooding in our kitchen. They are skilled, professional, polite, efficient and kind (even taking time to play with our toddler daughter so that she wasn't afraid of the noisy drying machines). Not only did they save our hardwood floors from major damage, they did a fantastic job repairing and repainting the drywall that needed to be removed for the job. They even vacuumed our basement when they were done. We cannot say enough about them and would call them back for any future emergency. Javier is fantastic.

We had a huge tree from our neighbor's yard fall on our house. The insurance company (USAA) sent out emergency crews immediately to tarp over the roof, etc. They also sent a "recommended contractor" to look at the damage, etc. We got a *very* bad feeling from them so we told the insurance company we wanted to pick our own contractor. They said fine, but that extra steps would then be required. We settled on ABHI & then the extra steps (USAA hired a very unresponsive independent claims adjuster) took *ages* to complete. Javier & his office support were very helpful & encouraging through the very long process. When the work finally started, it was obvious the wait was worth it. The crews showed up on time, were very attentive to detail, worked hard, and completed in record time. As an example, the roofing crew stayed & worked well past dusk to get the roof completely re-shingled because Javier saw that the following day had a 20% chance of rain.

I hope we never have any more work that needs to be done on our house but if we do, we will definitely call on America's Best again!

I have worked with Javier to renovate two houses already. His integrity is impeccable. He will do what he says he will do, whether that agreement is written or spoken. His pricing is very fair. I've worked with America's Best for three projects now - when my basement flooded; my bathroom ceiling had to be redone due to water damage; and my roof needed to be completely replaced after weather damage. Each time, they have been nothing but professional and understanding of my situation, as well as my financial burdens. They helped us with a homeowners claim for roof and interior damage. They worked with my insurance company and worked with our hectic schedule on the repairs. From the beginning the front office (Leah) helped us promptly get someone out to tarp our roof and Alex helped get us the estimate and worked with the insurance company. The owner, Javier, personally came out on our project to ensure the repairs met our standards. Alex provided us with details for financing that fit our budget. We look forward to working with them again on other home projects in the future.

Javier's attention to detail is insane and I couldn't imagine what kind of shoddy work any other company would have done. His team did the job from the remediation of water removal, then mold removal, then mold testing, then rebuilding, then cleaning. He cares about family safety too, he wouldn't allow anything past that could harm my family and my newborn son. Seriously, you don't have to worry about cut corners, people not showing or anything unprofessional. His team is great and I'm picky as hell. He also knows everything about insurance so he does what's needed quickly to get the ball rolling. Again, if you're reading this because you need restoration or any other home service, call these guys. I'm hiring him to work on my deck and fences and all kinds of stuff too cause they're that good!

Great work America's Best.

The basement of our split level home flooded with the record rain in July, and due to a faulty sump pump. It's a fully finished area with two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and living/dining area, all of which was completely inundated with water. My wife and I rushed home from work, and immediately realized the extent of the flooding as we walked around the entire area with water splashing under our feet.

Adding to the stress, there were numerous "restoration" companies riding around in their company vans, claiming to be "responding to reports of flooding" and doing "courtesy safety & damage checks" in the area. We almost fell for it, letting one of them in, quickly realizing our mistake when they immediately started quoting huge costs and not even paying attention to us at all. We could immediately tell their only concern was getting the biggest insurance check possible.

Thankfully we received several recommendations for America's Best, and reached out to Javier. From the start he and his workers were very professional, did a thorough assessment of the damage and explained the process step by step. Bad went to worse when they found mold in a few areas, and had to stop work for the remediation process. Fortunately he has contacts and was able to get that process started quickly. Throughout all of this my wife and I are working very busy schedules, with a 1 year old and dog, but Javier and his team worked around this with no issues. His team was on time every morning, working through the day. Javier periodically stopped by to do walkthroughs explaining everything, from mold remediation to the full restoration process. During the restoration they even touched up and addressed a few minor cosmetic issues in the area that we didn't even ask for. Just a great experience, and though we hope to not need this specific service again, we look forward to using America's Best for any future work we need. We highly recommend them!

I will review three different things. One their office professionals, second the roof team, third the roof itself. Katharine and Brittney were wonderful to begin with, the facilitated the work, worked with my insurance, listened patiently to my questions and demands. They made everything wonderfully easy. The roof crew with team lead Walter, that arrived on time, were impeccable. Hard working, focused, organized motivated team. I have not seen construction done so efficiently in decades. They were minutious, didn't rush but didn't wasted time. Ensured everything was clean and neat before they left. They were precise, knew what they were doing and didn't wasted a minute. That's a professional team with a great positive attitude, every one of them! The roof looks amazing, the color I wanted, and you can tell it will be a solid work for years to come! Very pleased with the work performed by America's Best. They really made an effort to make sure we were satisfied with the finished product. I am very impressed with their quality and attention to detail with finishing, caulking, and painting after repairing siding, installing a new door, and replacing drywall.

I used ABHI for a complete basement renovation. They did an incredible job.

First, they used *actual* technology to get set-up. They used some neat gizmo to capture a 3D model of the current situation. They then proposed new floor plans. They were resourceful and their suggestions were perfect.

Second, they helped in areas where you might not expect. I had a lot of picky thoughts when it came to flooring and they kept working with me to find a floor that I was happy with.

Third, they were professional and finished *early." I've worked with a lot of contractors but I haven't had someone finish early.

Finally, the end-result was great. Javier and his team also made sure to follow-up and ensure that I was happy. They so impressed me, I also hired them for some other projects in the house (for which they did a great job).

I would hire them for a project big or small.
