Alex's Pizza Palace

Excellent pizza! It's a Greek pizza place, which is a little different. The house special pizza includes Greek sausage, which is delicious. Went on a Monday night and the place was surprisingly busy, which says a lot about the loyalty of their customers. Good beer on tap, too.

Great place for lunch! I really want to try their pizza!

My party of three ordered different gyros and they were HOT, which is awesome. The gyros tasted great, french fries were delicious and not too salted for my taste.

Atmosphere was fine for me for a casual lunch.

Our server was Kendall according to the receipt. Our receipt was gal and provided exceptional service.

I'm definitely coming back here next time we are in town.

Great tasty food, good if not the best service and the atmosphere here is good and rustic as well as charming to anyone new or familiar to the restaurant. This was my first visit and I tasted the toasted ravioli they have delicious, crunchy and had Tons of flavor. Same can be said for the pizza crunchy crust and an explosion of flavor hits your tongue in the best way possible. I kinda wish it was more than 5 stars that I could give because this place deserves 10 stars. It also had good music playing in the background while eating or waiting.

Paris is an amazing server! The food here never misses. Great on tap beer selection, fresh food, and awesome service. My go to, everytime I’m in Rolla.

I haven’t been yet, but here it is some of the best in the world 🌎 I am reviewing it ahead of time just so I don’t forget about it and can come back to my review and remember where it is!! Next time I come through Rolla on my way to St Louis I will definitely be making a stop here. So excited!!!

I have been waiting for over a year to try this hidden gem. I had a friend tell me they have traveled the world over and this was their favorite pie.

I will say it was delicious 😋 The crust puffed up a little with great crunch. I ordered extra marinara on the side to dip it in. I did the specialty pizza on half and the meat lovers on the other side like my server Kelly suggested and glad I did. The pizza is so thin on the bottom and I love it!!! Only thing I would personally do is add a little bit more salt to the dough, but I’m sure the clientele love it!!!! And for good reason 😉

I love the crispy hand made cheese ball appetizer. If you are ever traveling through give them a try!

Great place! Price was a little more than expected .......but man quality made up for that really quick. We drove from St Peters just to visit. We love supporting smaller towns/counties, and avoiding big business. Love the food! Please never give up this AMAZING food!!!

Really a neat place. Food is wonderful and service was fast & very friendly. Had toasted ravs, the gyro with fries & gyro with rice as side, and ordered sausage & Canadian bacon pizza to go for dinner. The inside is larger than I thought it would be. Nice fireplace inside.

Some of the best fire grilled pizza we’ve ever had the Cheese and sauces were amazing ..... we will be back again or next time we’re through! Great local beers on tap! love that they support other local businesses and schools for fundraising!

This is THE pizza place in Rolla, and one of the most popular restaurants period. I was born and raised in Rolla but don't live there anymore, but when I come to town I have to make three stops: Alex's, A Slice of Pie, and Maid-Rite.

Alex's is a Greek/Italian restaurant hybrid. The best thing to get is an order of cheese balls as an appetizer and a gyro pizza. They have a $9.99 lunch special that included a salad and a one-topping pizza (I got gyro meat) that's a great deal.

Wonderful historic atmosphere, staff was very attentive, best pizza we've had in the Rolla area! My husband had a sausage, pepperoni and pepper calzone- it was HUGE and the flavor was amazing. I tried a Mediterranean dish with pasta, olives, artichokes and peppers in a cream sauce. We left with two take home cartons!

Alex's Pizza has always provided a nice atmosphere and meal whenever a family gathering came around. Pleasant hosts and servers.

How can I start came down to visit a friend in Rolla from Collinsville Illinois I looked up online and did a review check your highly recommended why was everybody right I have pizza and breadsticks and that was phenomenal plus probably the best sweet tea I've ever drank in many many years are waitress name was Paris she was great made me feel like I was going in there many many before will be going back on the next down

Over the past 40 years Alex's has changed with the times, but they still provide a great food whether you like their pizza, gyros, or toasted raviolis. The food is good, the service is great, and the atmosphere is awesome.

The pizza is superb, best pizza experience in Rolla for sure! Staff was great and super friendly. We were there on a Tuesday and their special was a 2-topping large pizza, so the kids doubled down on the pepperoni, very delicious! We also ordered a large salad which was very fresh and tasty.

Nice place. Good service. I had a Greek salad and the Gyro pizza. While the pizza was good, it didn't really taste or look anything like a Gyro. 🤷‍♂ I'll probably choose something else on the menu if I stop back in on future trips to Rolla.

We enjoy coming to this place whenever we can. The pizza is good with just the right amount of cheese and toppings. The big mounds of sausage are delicious. The Greek salad was a good side to the pizza. The atmosphere is very relaxed and we felt like we could chat during our visit and our drinks stayed full.

Took our order to go. I'm from out of town but have had Alex's before. Very delicious & unforgettably unique. I will definitely order again next time I'm in town.

Amazing pizza; very friendly staff, and the location has such a rich history. Tried it for the first time this week and it was a huge hit with everyone. Definitely better than Imo's or Pizza Hut/Dominoes.
Prices were good, portions are generous -- one pizza fed three hungry people.
Would definitely recommend Alex's Pizza Palace!

Little side note: the fish tanks when you walk in have fish from Finding Nemo!

Pizza is great. Has a slightly different taste than what you experience from most pizza places. It’s that Greek based recipe they’ve been using for so many years. First introduced to Alex’s while attending UMR; now we make it a point to stop for pizza any time we’re close by. We particularly like the sausage pizza. Let’s hope they never alter their recipe.
