Neighborhood Grill

Everything was absolutely amazing. We came out so I could treat my wife to a birthday dinner, and we were sat almost immediately. Amber was our server and she is just the absolute best. We ordered the calamari as an appetizer and it was exquisite. The Mrs. ordered the mussels with pasta and I ordered the blackened chicken Alfredo. Let me tell you something, the entrees were effin fire. We both tried each others plates and couldn’t have been more pleased. They even brought out a piece of cake for my wife with a candle lit. Thanks to the Neighborhood grill for awesome service and a memorable meal. We’ll be back like Arnold in Terminator(without the violence)! If you’re in Murphy and want to be treated like family and have some damn good food in the process, come to the Neighborhood Grill!!!

From start to finish, a fantastic meal and experience. $8 mixed drinks, $5 beers. Quite possibly the best Caesar salad I’ve EVER had. Homemade blue cheese dressing on the garden salad…to die for. Perfectly crispy, cheesy mozzarella sticks. Cooked to order Ribeye and one of the best Alfredos I’ve ever had. The drinks are strong, the service is quick. A genuinely fantastic neighborhood joint.

We called ahead and were seated quickly, our waitress Sofia was very polite, and attentive. She refilled our drinks quickly and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. Next time me and my friends come here we will request her.

Charlie is such a fantastic chef that we have followed him from Ellijay, Georgia to Murphy, North Carolina. It is well worth the drive!

It was our first time visiting Perrone's and we were pleased with the food and service. My husband said that the PEI mussels over angel hair pasta was the best he had ever had. My lime & cilantro chicken over angel hair was extremely tender and flavorful. The friend mozzarella with marinara was good not needed a little salt to bring out the flavor. We opted to skip dessert but they had plenty of options. The restaurant is small and doesn't take reservations so you might go early if you have a large party (6 or more). It gets rather loud so conversation might be difficult for those who are hard of hearing. Booths comfortably seat 4 adults. We look forward to returning again soon.

This restaurant is amazing. Diane is wonderful and took care of us. The Chicken Piccata I ordered has a lemon wine sauce that is so worth it. One of the best dishes I've ever had is from here. Give this local business a try as trust me I eat and cook and love this place now. The first photo is the Chicken Piccata. I promise you I finished it all and the ceaser salad and the smoked trout dip. Food heaven.

It was a rainy afternoon so less crowded. Our order was taken promptly and the food arrived in a timely manner. The food was very good and the staff was very friendly.

What a great place! The food was delicious and Kathy our server was outstanding! My wife had the Chicken Piccata which she said was one of the best she ever had. I enjoyed the grilled salmon with baby yellow potatoes. For dessert she had cannoli with chocolate drizzle and whip cream while I had the Limoncello cake with raspberry drizzle and whip cream. We went early and got seated right away. Cocktails were very good also. We will be back...

First time at Perrone’s last Friday. Got there when they first opened at 4pm and it got pretty crowded after that ..... and rightfully so :). Food and service was great. We’ll definitely be back. We were a party of four. The calamari appetizer was excellent. The bread was yum! Two of us had the Special which was delicious salmon with a bourbon sauce and creamy fettuccini. One had a black and blue burger with Cajun seasoning and one had fried shrimp and french fries. Everyone loved their meal!

Have been about 5 times and every time it’s amazing! Everything is so good on the menu! It gets packed so get there early!

Awesome experience. Friendly and hard working staff. Food came out HOT! Zucchini fries were a great starter and the muscles were by far the best dish on the table! Definitely one of our favorite restaurants in Murphy.

Awesome little restaurant, locals and tourists dining here. We stopped in for dinner, great service. Food was yummy 😋. The cheese garlic bread appetizer was so simple but so good. The zucchini fries were yummy too. All the food was fresh and authentic. Would definitely recommend!

I'm promoting this place more than I normally would due to the quality of my experience. My wife and I had Chicken Parmigiana and Chicken Masala. Every aspect of the food was exceptional. The presentation of all the food was attractive. The chicken was perfectly done, no knife was necessary. The angel hair pasta was neither undercooked nor overcooked. My wife commented that the Blue Cheese Dressing on her side salad was the best she'd ever had. The Tiramisu was excellent, moist but not soggy. The restrooms are outdoors which is a little awkward, but they've covered the access for the event of rain, enclosing it with their "wall of fame". We noted that the owner was the head chef, which explains the attention to detail. The bottom line, we will be back, and we will recommend it to our friends.

Since my initial review, this place has become very popular. They added on a room for additional seating, but it's still always packed. They don't take reservations, but will add you to the wait list. Expect a wait.

Over the past few years, my wife and I have enjoyed many a meal here. This is still our "go to" restaurant. I must confess I've had way more pieces of Tiramisu than my trainer would approve of 🙄. (but I'm not changing my ways yet)

5/6/23 Update

I'm not normally a big fan of calamari because of some bad experiences at other restaurants. Tonight our host ordered it for our table. Wow! Both my wife and I really liked it. To think that all these years of dining at Perrone's, I had denied us this great appetizer. 🙄 We had heard that Charlie fixed it better than everywhere else. Now I'm a believer!

Went at 4:30 with a party of 6. We were sat right away but it got to be a full house shortly afterwards. We ordered the mussels first but the juice they were made in was the hit. Everyone kept dipping their bread in it till it was gone! Their Southern Lawn Cooler cocktail was very tasty!
I ordered their signature steak sandwich with potato wedge fries and it was delicious and huge! Everyone enjoyed their meals!

For appetizers we had the most delicious garlic bread, and garlic wings. We ordered kids grilled chicken, the flavor was amazing, straight off of the grill, and hot. They surprisingly at the broccolini. That's a huge perk. My fiance had the cheese steak, which was out of this world. I had the veal piccata, very delicious. We have extra for leftovers.We didn't have a chance to try the Lamb chops, but we will be back !

This was our first time trying this restaurant, and it was well worth every dollar spent. The service was great, the food was excellent! Definitely recommend!

My husband and I visited this amazing restaurant for 1st time we had the chicken marsala and and my husband favorite the ribeye it was so tender and delicious the chicken was so good I got some to go but most of all what we were impressed with was the service our server was a beautiful young lady named Sophia she was so polite and knew everything on the menu perfectly and helped with my order of the chicken we didn't have to wait at all when she had our drinks on the table and our appetizers on the table in a jiffy the zucchini fried were the best she brought our food piping hot to the table and kept our drinks full at all time you don't get that kind of great service in many places anymore we will highly recommend this restaurant and we will tell our friends and family to always ask for Miss Sophia if you want top grade service and recommend the chicken marsala 5star all the way the restaurant was very cozy and very pleasant atmosphere 😀

I have eaten all over the world and I would without hesitation put Perrone’s in the Top 5 Italian food experiences in my life. Chicken Picatta and Blackened Chicken Alfredo…both were just sublime, and a tiramisu that seems to defy all logic when it hits your tongue and melts away in a symphony of delectable flavor. Only in town for 1 week and I know I will return before I leave and talking about it for years to come. Congratulations to the chef/owner- your beautiful restaurant is a true find!
