Murphy's Chophouse

Overall very impressed with the restaurant. Eli, our waiter, was so funny and a great server. Hubby had she crab soup and a spinach salad. I had quiche and a house salad. I wasn't impressed with the quiche. There was too much pastry and hardly any ingredients inside the pastry. They were shaped like muffins and you get 2 of them. Definitely not a fan but it was better when I drowned it in ranch🤣. Salad was wonderful. Iced tea was perfect and Key Lime pie was great. I would definitely recommend this place just don't get the quiche. Ask for Eli, you will ❤ him.

This was our second visit to Murphy's Chophouse.

This time we had a 2pm Thanksgiving Day reservation. They seated us 10 minutes early. Menu and drinks arrived immediately. Dinner rolls soon after.

The limited menu for the holiday feast meant our salad was served in under 10 minutes. The staff checked on us frequently, bringing the next course of the meal when ready and topping off our drinks the entire time.

The staff was happy, energetic and enjoyable despite having to work on a holiday.

The Tom Turkey dinner came with traditional turkey, gravy, cranberry, mashed potatoes, sweet potato, stuffing, and green beans. All cooked to perfection with great seasoning.

The villa decor with wood furniture, individual tables, table cloths and glassware created a great atmosphere. The restaurant was full but NOT crowded, or noisy. We thoroughly enjoyed our holiday meal and our experience.

We were in and out in one hour, did not feel rushed and the portion size was just right. We left feeling great. Not too much, not too little. Just right!

Well done Murphy's Chophouse! Well done. We'll be back.

Cozy fine dining experience!! The service was excellent and our server Jess made the evening memorable. The prime rib French dip was delicious!

Everything we ordered was excellent. I had a beautiful spinach salad and the best french onion soup I may have ever eaten. My husband had the meatloaf, which was also tasty. But the best was the creme brulée. It was amazing. Definitely a new favorite restaurant.

Early Sunday dinner. Quiche and Ceasars Salad were wonderful. Spinach Salad and French Onion Soup were incredible. That was the best soup ever. Food was fast, hot and delicious. Waitress amazing. I am coming back here any time I am in this area.

Visiting from Oviedo Florida. We were pleasantly surprised by the food service and atmosphere. Best meal we’ve had on this vacation. I didn’t take pictures of our entrees but we had the Carolina burger, prime rib and goat cheese salmon with fig (reduction?). All was enjoyable and well priced. Dessert was delicious highly recommend the crème brûlée! And always happy to get some Buffalo Trace.

I visited on a sunny Monday and sat at the outdoor patio at a table shaded by an umbrella. I got there a little after noon, and it wasn’t too busy so I was seated right away. The host was welcoming, and the service was excellent. My server was friendly and attentive, and she made sure that my water glass was never empty.

I started with “The Wedge” salad and really enjoyed it. There was a generous amount of bacon, bleu cheese and bleu cheese dressing. The lettuce was fresh and crisp.

I ordered a ribeye steak as my entrée. It wasn’t printed on the lunch menu that I saw, but the server told me all of their steaks, except for the prime rib, are available at lunchtime.

The ribeye did not disappoint. The presentation was beautiful. It was savory and delicious and had just the right amount of meat to fat ratio. It was cooked to perfection and so tender. The side vegetables that day included broccoli, sun dried tomatoes and red bell peppers which nicely complimented the ribeye.

“The Wedge” salad and ribeye are definitely a meal combo I’d order again.

Friendly staff and great food. Went there for my Anniversary. The calamari was delicious and loved the Prime Rib. I will definitely go back

This place is AWESOME! The food was outstanding! Mark and his staff do an amazing job! Will definitely stop again when I pass through!

Beautiful restaurant, very quaint. Great customer service, amazing food, great atmosphere. They even have us a free desert because it was our first date night without the kids in a long time!

The food was so good would definitely eat here again.

If there were more stars to award I surely would. From the moment we entered, all through our meal, and as we left we were welcomed and treated as long-time dinner guests. The food was great. Jessica our server was very professional and extremely helpful in making our dinner choices. This is now our number one steakhouse!

Eat here a few times. Every time both my wife and myself have been well pleased with our food. Servers are always friendly and courteous to us. I’ve only had their steak both times. Wife has had a few of their sandwiches and never heard her say nothing but how great they were. Highly recommend trying to eat here if you can.

We had fried calamari for an appetizer and it was the best we'd ever had! So tender and perfectly cooked. Then I got the shrimp special abs my husband got the trout dish. They were delicious!

Glad we stopped! The food was delicious. Get the fried green tomatoe appetizer!!!! Soooo yummy! Great Cocktail list too! We'll be back!

We've eaten here several times. It's a top notch restaurant, especially given this area of the country. Gourmet recipes, elegant atmosphere, and usually very busy.

10/2/22 Update - It was a beautiful day today, so we got a table out on the patio. High 60's, sunshine, and a gentle breeze. We enjoyed a relaxing Sunday brunch. There's almost always a chef's special omelet on the menu for Sunday brunch. Coffee was good.

We have eaten at the Chophouse a number of times, mostly for lunch. We have never been disappointed by the food which is always well cooked and presented. The outside deck is great in good weather. Service can be spotty at times but the staff is always friendly. Lunch prices as of Summer 2023 are exceedingly reasonable.

The Wild Mushroom potato sticks were an awesome appetizer. A fantastic Wedge Salad with delicious blue cheese followed by pankr dredged Chicken and Smoked Gouda mac n cheese. Since it was my birthday they sent out a little Ice Cream Sunday. As I always Inlook for clean bathrooms and they delivered here as well. Overall a fantastic experience with the only downside being our Waiter needs to learn the menu and what comes with what for the correct price as he clearly did not know his menu. The food made up for the waiter's mistakes.

Chicken fingers might be the best I've ever had. Everything was very good. Service was outstanding. The chef has all kinds of awards, but didn't know that till after we ate and awards don't always make for a great restaurant. This one does tho!

We loved the food and atmosphere. Our server, Jessica, was wonderful. She made our first visit very special!!! We will definitely come back!!!
