Great area for the kids to play and to take your dogs on a walk. It can get extremely busy on the weekends with birthday parties or other events from private parties but everyone is still able to enjoy the park. Very clean.

This is a really nice Greenway that is part of the Carolina Thread Trail. Went there with our dogs. Following Google Maps leads to an area with limited parking opportunities. On the other side of g
Goat Island, you will find much more parking and access to the greenway. There are restrooms near the bridge and kayak rentals in the weekend. Also disc golf and lots for kids.

Anyone who likes nature would enjoy walking here. It has a nature walk, play area, picnic tables, grills, disk golf, kyak launch, and more. The bridges over the water give opportunity for a beautiful view!
They have a restroom at the walk entry.
This place was nice and clean.

Good place to rent a kayak with the Catawba River Keeper. Afterward, check out restaurants and Confluence taproom.

The disc golf course here is tough to play in the spring & summer but fall & winter this course shines. Tough par but ultimately a great challenge and gorgeous walk in the park. Almost always see some deer on the back 9 if you play quietly enough.

This is one of the best parks in Gaston County. The playground is fantastic! I love the fact that you can enjoy watching your children play no matter where you sit! Bonus: Floyd and Blackie's is just a two-minute walk for ice cream!!!

Beautiful, clean, well-maintained park with wide, paved walking paths, trails, South Fork River access, streams, pedestrian bridges, fishing pier, kayaking & canoeing access, wildlife, playgrounds, exercise areas, picnic tables, a covered shelter, grills, outdoor ping-pong tables, disc golf, ample parking, and public restrooms nearby. And that's what I can remember off the top of my head! Also provides access to a segment of the Carolina Thread Trail that connects a residential area with the park by way of a pedestrian bridge. Went walking with my sister here today and had a great time! Nice, wide-open, well-kempt areas to enjoy. Saw a few large turtles and what looked to be, maybe, a great blue heron (?). I look forward to going back and I highly recommend this park.

Great time at the park. My BIG issue is that it us RIGHT on the river with no fence to stop the kids from going in. In a perfect world parents watch their children but with cell phone distraction, I am terrified of kids going in the river.

Crossed the bridge at the waterfront and found a nice playground and picnic area with a paved walking trail. Followed the trail to additional parking and beyond. Beautiful sunny day and a very enjoyable walk.

Great park for the kids, beautiful little downtown, the sounds of crickets and tree frogs, gorgeous sunsets, and pretty walking paths make this a fantastic park to visit and enjoy. Then head over to Floyd and Blackies for coffee and ice cream!

What a nice little hidden gem! I didn't realize it was back here. I love the trail and I am sure the families with children love the play ground. The biggest treat was the different Lookout/fishing platforms.

Fun day at the park, mainly the trail due to flooding of the playground. The playground is currently being cleaned out.
