Treat

I have never been. Went within an hour of closing on a Saturday night. Greeted warmly. Had my dog with me. The staff was beyond kind to her. The food was very good. Service also very good. Prices were reasonable and portions were spot on. The only suggestion I have, possibly, one of the outdoor heaters if the outside area stays open. I know I was only out there with my dog and all other dinners were inside. So just a personal suggestion and not a negative to the restaurant.

I have been here multiple times, and it never disappoints! I brought my sisters and niece here for the first time this weekend, and they were truly impressed by the atmosphere and food. We ordered cocktails, the wham pow shrimp, and the bread service, for starters. The bread is always so good and perfect every time I come, and the herb butter is perfect with it. I always try to order a different dish and chose the shrimp and grits (I forgot what it was called on the menu). The others ordered the salmon, which is one of my favorites, the Asian pork shanks, and the wham pow shrimp pasta, which was every one of ours' favorite of the night. Great time as always at Treat!

Great service, great atmosphere. They put a lot of effort into the decor and it was really a nice experience.

The food.
App was the Polar Plunge. The cheese, cranberry, and sweet potato chips worked together very well.
My wife got the filet (excellent), and the mushrooms that went with it paired well, and the garlic mash potatoes were well made.
I got the Shrimp Orzo, which was excellent (just a tad to lemony for my tastes), but was creamy and the shrimp was great, and the orzo was cooked perfectly so 4.5 out of 5. It's really good.
Desserts were the Rasberry Cheesecake, which was good, I thought it could use a raspberry sauce to give it that tart kick, but it's not the end of the world that it didn't have it. It's very creamy and smooth, with a great flavor. My wife got the chocolate torte, which she thought was really good.

From the moment you enter, you know this place is going to be special. They squeezed me in without a reservation which I greatly appreciated! The atmosphere is electric. Its light blues, greens and browns all come together beautifully with the copper table tops. It’s absolutely beautiful.

The service was absolutely top notch. Liz, never missed a beat. And trust me, I beat that drum! Flawless appetizer bread with the best butter I’ve ever tasted. From there, I never wanted for anything and the salmon I ordered came out expeditiously. And cooked to perfection! Tender, flakey, juicy. The mashed potatoes and the Brussels sprouts were perfectly roasted and caramelized. The bourbon glaze on the salmon wasn’t for me (I ordered it on the side) and Liz jumped into action again bringing me a different sauce with a lemon twist. It was perfection!!

I couldn’t recommend Treat more! It was far more than a treat, it was an experience and an amazing one!

We really enjoyed our visit here. The cocktail menu had some unique options that were really good. I had the shrimp and grits and it was fabulous! It may have been the best meal I've had since we arrived in North Carolina. Hubby had the Asian Pork. His mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts were very tasty.

I've been to Treat several times now and every time has been a "treat". The cocktails are awesome, the atmosphere is amazing for a date night (or anytime) and the food is high quality and delicious. The bread service is one of my favorite things there. Definitely make reservations. My only complaint is that they don't open sooner.

Absolutely phenomenal restaurant, from the atmosphere, to the drinks, and the food! The restaurant had the most adorable decorations! The drinks were incredible! The food was delectable! I can’t recommend this restaurant enough! We travel a lot and this is one of the best restaurants we have been to in quite sometime! The apple cider sangria, skinny goat salad and tikka masala and bourbon pecan pie were particularly delicious!!

Okay this place is truly a TREAT. Wonderful service and a cozy atmosphere.
We had a Caesar salad, salmon with pesto pasta, wham shrimp pasta, buzz off mojito, lavender lemonade, and a berry white chocolate cheesecake! SO GOOD.

We were shocked by how fresh everything was. Even the cheese was freshly grated/sliced. Their bread is also fantastic and our total was $85 before tip. (I think the salmon was a special last night, so the price might vary a little)

We will definitely come here every time we visit Morganton. Thank you for this wonderful treat on our anniversary trip!

Loved Treat! The food was great and the restaurant looks super nice inside. They have a few vegan options and I really enjoyed the dish I got.

Morganton is so lucky to have this great restaurant! The bartender made me a custom cocktail & recommended the delicious shrimp entrée.

The atmosphere is cozy with local art on the walls, arbor inspired decor and soft light.

Everything about this place was wonderful. We didn't have reservations, but we were still welcomed warmly. The Halloween decorations were just right. Our server was a sweetheart, and the food was delicious. I had the Fiesta chicken with plantains and Mexican street corn salad, and wouldn't have changed a thing.

Ok, ok, ok ... I am not being biased here. It could have any other name and would get the same review. But... yes, it was great! One of the best places I've been in a while and I will return! Salmon, pasta, unique drinks and the Polar Plunge- 4 cheese creamy heaven! I'm told I can go off menu but things are so good i didnt have to!! I must make it to dessert some day.
Update... I dare you to make it through dessert, lavender crem brule' and flourless chocolate cake to name a couple, are just so delicious!

Wonderful food. Is trendy but not stuffy. Love the pictures on the walls and items you can buy at the front. Scarfs are beautiful and so soft and reasonably priced. Jewelry has a wide assortment for 20 somethings up to over 50. Said did not have an area for a group of 10 but was very creative where they set the table st. Felt like we had our own room but still was a part of the atmosphere. Plan on a slow meal due to enjoying the food and looking at all the stuff on the walls. Not cracker barrel overload. Just the right amount.

A lovely restaurant with beautiful decor in downtown Morganton. The waitress was excellent, with a bubbly personality. The Nashville Hot Chicken was the best I've ever had. I look forward to having it again.

This was our first time dining in downtown Morganton and Treat did not disappoint. We did not have reservations so we had about an hour wait. The hostess recommended several local options to check out while we waited. After strolling around we returned to find our table ready and were promptly seated. The decor was fun and interesting. We started with Bread Service and Paper Plane cocktails, all of which were delicious. Our meals came comfortably after and were well presented. The Chicken Parmesan was the best I've had in a while. My wife had the Wham Pasta and my son had the Pesto Pasta and they both very much enjoyed their entrees. It was a great night and a pleasant first impression of Morganton. We look forward to coming back

I shared a delicious dinner with my MIL here. We had the Tapas Mountain starter. She had the fish and chips and I had the Veggie-terranean. We were both extremely happy with our entrees. The Veggie-terranean was pretty similar to the Tapas Mountain, so I don't think I would order those during the same meal in the future, but it was delicious too.

The food was amazing and I had an great experience! I was with a party of 7, and the owner treated us to an appetizer on the house. They also made great accommodations for vegetarians—I wanted to get the Nashville hot chicken and they made an off-the-menu substitution with tofu… it was INCREDIBLE. Highly recommend visiting if you find yourself in Morganton!!

Be sure to make reservations, otherwise you'll need to rely on space at the bar. The staff was incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. Vegetarian and vegan options. The Macafredo was creamy and smooth, highly recommended (although small), and the housemade veggie burger was great. It was made with chickpeas and black beans, but was much better than your typical black bean burger. Wine selection was wide and great. Mixed drinks were very festive, delicious, and brilliantly crafted. Prices were a little higher, but this is a higher level of dining and should be expected.

This restaurant is beautifully decorated, dark and cozy, and has excellent food and cocktails. Truly a hidden gem.

This was our 1st time here. The food was great and our server was spot on. We would definitely go back. The filet melted in your mouth.
