Wide, safe hiking/walking trails for everyone! Dog friendly area. We love coming here with our dogs. Walk down to the river and have lunch and let the dogs play. Great local place for us!

Well maintained trail with only one steep part by the river. Picnic tables, benches, and trashcans by river. Beautiful scenery, wildlife to view. Great place for pets!

Very peaceful and well maintained. Water view reminds me of A River Runs through it at one spot.

The trail was beautiful, and it was so relaxing. We didn't make it down to the river, so I haven't seen the whole park yet, but we definitely want to go back. The trail can be a little steep-- not stroller friendly (I carried the baby in a carrier).

Very beautiful place to walk around with friends, family, pets or just by yourself. Lots of river front too and enough space to set up and enjoy a day out there while the sun's up. Not to mention it's mostly level ground. Be careful after rainy days tho. Can produce a good amount of mud to walk thru.

Maybe before exploring the wilderness and getting an escape from work you should do research on how to live life in the wild. I have seen a handful of reviews of people who do not know how to survive in the wild. Maybe before you travel you should practice and research. I cannot stand seeing reviews of people who cannot handle even seeing a cicada.

They keep the trails pretty clear here and the trails are fairly wide. There is a nice waterfront area to enjoy fishing it simply enjoying the flooring river going by.

Great place to escape the city only 25 minutes from Uptown Charlotte. Hiking and Biking trails. River access is very nice to put canoes and kayaks in and out of river. It is a good hike to river, better put in than take out, as itvis downhill all the way to river.
1.5 mile downstream from park, there is McAdenville Dam. Dam is just downstream, below McAdenville access, Portage across river on river left. Stay away from dam. Take out on river right just past interstate bridge is a great option instead of portaging. If you portage, next access is Goat Island Park in Cramerton.

Allot of these pictures don't really tie in to this place. But it's a really awesome park. Great for walking and looking at the river. If you go early, you can even see the local bever.

What a gem! So glad I found something closer with more steep inclines to train on. Awesome for a quick 1 lap or vary your routes and get a really solid workout in. 💞Swoon.

We take our dogs to this trail, or just walk it without them.
It's a very good 1 mile trek!
