just happened to stumble upon this hidden gem and I’m oh so happy I did! my food was delicious and there was plenty leftover and I have a hearty appetite! will be frequenting this location on the regular 👍🏾👍🏾 oh, and if you’re looking for a great place outside picnic take your meal and a blanket to Reynolda Gardens located north Reynolda Rd only a few miles from Kotta. Pics were taken there.

Food was great. Good portions and delivered in a timely manner. My only thing was the thickness of the noodles. Want what I expected but everything else was perfect.

Not only is there food the BEST the servoce is impeccable 👌 I dropped my food on the way out the door and they remade of free of charge😁 THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Got takeout here and had the vegetarian hibachi fried rice. Veggies and rice were tasty, especially with the ginger sauce! Good sized portion, one meal that you could potentially stretch into two if you weren't super hungry. I'd go again!

my brother specifically chose this place to eat after his band concert and the food was great. plus the kitchen was listening to big time rush so immediate 5 stars from me

I've been going to Kotta's for takeout for years, and always get an abundance of absolutely delicious hibachi mixed veggies, white or fried rice and chicken or shrimp! I love their food so much! The price is the best I've seen, especially for dependably delicious food usually in less than 15 minutes. Give this place a try, the staff is very welcoming!

GREAT FOOD AWESOME PRICES AMAZING SERVICE! THESE MEN WERE OUTSTANDING!!! BEST JAPANESE FOOD I'VE HAD IN A VERY LONG TIME AND I LOVE JAPANESE AND EAT IT OFTEN. YA'LL GO EAT THERE ASAP. Whether you're visiting so many of the other places in that shopping center just plan a stop to eat it well worth it!

The hibachi single/combination dinners with the shrimp sauce is the best thing on the menu. I did enjoy the egg rolls, pork dumplings. The only place that I really enjoyed the carrots. Salmon needs to be improved though, it meh but the shrimp sauce do make it taste better. Ordered from here and the other location multiple times from takeout/delivery

1st time here and was very pleased, very Friendly staff, the cook with the chef hat was great he made me some delicious veggie hibachi and was very nice. Their ginger sauce is amazing!! I would definitely recommend Kotta and I'll be back!

We eat here at least once a week and the food is always hot and filling! We had a big order and it wasn't ready when we got there but they were very apologetic. Keep up the good work!

today is Jan 27 2018, and my wife and I dined at Kotta Japanese Grill for the first time. It is small, but has large booths. Side tables are also available. It is take out, delivery, and eat in. My wife ordered Hibachi chicken and mixed vegetables and I ordered steak and shrimp with mixed vegetables. The meal came promptly, and was delicious! The steak was tender and juicy, and the veggies were par excellent! Broccoli, zucchinni, mushrooms, carrots and rice along with generous portions of real steak and shrimp. The Chicken was also tender and juicy with lots of vegetables. A wonderful dining experience, and we will do this again!!

This is a simplified take on a Japanese hibachi grill. You order and pay up front at the counter when you first walk in, and then your order is brought to your table after being cooked behind a viewing window. I really liked the preparation of the food. The chicken was very moist and tender and the vegetables were still crisp. The white sauce was a little too runny for dipping, I think it is more intended to be drizzled over the plate perhaps?

Dinner was great. Just got something simple.

1st time trying this place. It seemed really popular. Extremely friendly staff. The steak and shrimp teriyaki was good. The egg rolls ate smaller than expected. I'll be going back

Everyone at kotta grill is very friendly, the prices are great, the food is cooked in your view, it never takes more than 5 minutes or so to get your food and it it's always cooked perfectly. I've had a great experience every time and recommend it to anyone who is a fine of fine Japanese food.

If I could rate more than five stars, I would. Great food, great service, great atmosphere. I'm 90 years old and I've come to Kotta every day since I was 12. I was here when I first heard that Hitler was dead, I was here when I heard JFK got shot, and now I was here when I heard the unfortunate news about my favorite rapper, XXXTentacion. RIP X, the boys and I will be at Kotta all night to pour one out in honor of you. Kotta and XXX are the two things that I loved in this life since my wife's death, and now this restaurant is all that I have. Thank you to Kotta and its wonderful staff for all the wonderful memories.

Kotta is AWESOME! We eat there weekly as a family! We have always had great service and great food! The portions are generous and food is fresh! My families fav place hands down!

Always great food at a good price, friendly folks also! I have taken several friends there for lunch on many occasions. One of my go-to spots at least once a week!

Impressive flavor and massive quantity for a competitive price. Actually the best tasting hibachi in the entire Winston area, and I've been to most of them. Wi4d is they will have sushi soon, like their Hanes mall location... can't wait!
