Real Q

We came during lunch to get a to go order. We didn't order ahead bit our food was still ready in a flash.
We got onion rings and hush puppies for our sides with Chopped BBQ sandwiches.
As I am picky about slaw I elected to get mine on the side, to my surprise I liked it.
The BBQ taste great without any sauce on it, very flavorful. However they do offer one signature sauce which is very thin and soaks into the sandwich instead of making a big mess like some. I would prefer to have a couple of options for BBQ sauce but theirs was still good.
Our food tasted phenomenal and we recommend giving it a try.
In addition to the great food, the service was fast and friendly. We will be back!

Excellent food and friendly service. Old-time drive-in feeling ..... Clean. My only gripe, food is too expensive for what it is .... Yet I continue to go back.

Delicious Pork BBQ. Pork was moist, hush puppies and fried okra were perfectly crisp on the outside and warm on the inside. Sweet tea was just right with it all. This was our first time having Lexington-style BBQ - it was great. Staff were very friendly and helped suggest some good things to try. Definitely be a place to try.

BBQ is great with an excellent wood-smoked flavor, red slaw is great, potato salad is good, hush puppies are some of the best I’ve ever had.
The ladies working there are super nice, and my only real complaint is there’s no actual waitress service.
This is by far the best BBQ in town.

The decor was pretty awesome and nostalgic! The food was delicious and a nice serving size! Definitely our new go to BBQ joint!!! The staff was super friendly as well I can't wait to go back

Excellent Chopped pork plate and the sides are so tasty. Hush puppies are some of the best I've ever had. Burgers are awesome as well

This place does awesome ribs (Wednesdays!) and traditional Lexington style bbq. The sides of fried okra, baked beans, and hush puppies were all on point. Do not miss this spot.

Now called Real Q, this used to be Little Richard's, but the food and ambiance hasn't changed a bit. If you were looking for some ribs, pulled 🐖 pork, a chopped barbecue plate, some of the best red slaw around, hush puppies, tater tots, 🍟 fries, and even some 🥗 salads then Real Q has you covered. This location also has patio seating, ♿ handicap accessible parking, restrooms, and entryway.

This restaurant is awesome, the level of customer service is supreme!! The food is excellent as always!! Everyone is so friendly!! Thank you for always doing the best!!

Not sure how we have missed this little gem as many times as we have been to Winston, but I am glad we found it. I am very picky when it comes to BBQ, and this place does not disappoint. The food came out fast, and fills you up. It brings back memories of my families BBQ restaraunt. It's hard to find a really good BBQ place these days and it passed mine and my husband's test. Can't wait to come back and try more.

Great NC style BBQ and sides. This place used to be a car hop in the 70s and is still decorated with memorabilia from Winston-Salem. Everything about this place oozes Southern hospitality. It's worthy of a stop-in every time we are in town.

Only thing bad about this place is getting in and out of the parking lot.

Foods excellent and so is the service

This is my favorite pork bbq, or any bbq, in the world. A fantastic example of Lexington-style bbq.

What to order: a small chopped (pork) tray with bbq slaw (vinegar-based), with a side of hushpuppies. Their pork is tender, smokey, and with just the right amount of bark to give it depth. The slaw is acidic and peppery and compliments the fat of the bbq perfectly. The hush puppies are round, crunchy on the outside, with a soft and tender interior that is savory and slightly sweet. Together all these elements become the perfect meal.

Service is quick, the place is small but charming, and as a native North Carolinian it feels like home. It's not fancy, but you'll never see the bottom of your cup of sweet tea or Cheerwine -- your servers will refill it faster than you can say "hushpuppy".

The barbecue is excellent.
You order at the counter and then wait for someone to bring it to you.

I enjoy the iced tea.

They have a very good sauce only barbecue.

They give you enough barbecue on a chopped sandwich that you don't have to even have order fries because the sandwich alone will fill you up.

Great BBQ and service. Very friendly staff. Love the antique signs in the restaurant.

Glad I decided to stop because this place is awesome! Staff are very friendly, food was out nearly instantaneously, and it some of the best I've had yet since moving to the area. There wasn't any left, I ate it before I remembered to take a picture.
