Big 5 Sporting Goods

I went in to buy some hiking shoes and was pleased and comfortable with my experience. All the staff is kind, friendly and supportive. They eagerly welcomed me even though I had not been in the store. There was a young staff helping and suggesting different kinds of shoes. They were all helpful to me. After that, he went back to check in with me several times in case I needed anything. A good experience here. Highly recommend!!

If you’re looking for silk ski mask. They don’t have it. It may show online that it’s in stock but it doesn’t have in store. I tried calling multiple stores.

The people working were great and helpful. In and out quickly for some bear spray! Good spot for outdoorsy stuff at good prices.

They had exactly what I needed. (Knee pads) They were quick to help and check me out. The knee pads were affordable and the store was organized and clean. Definitely will be back.

I struggled looking for a work boot at like 3 different stores, I should of already known big 5 was the store! Great price too! Thank you big 5.

Today, super knowledgeable staff geared up and ready for the WDFW Multi-Season second chance purchase. Up and ready before the store was officially opened.

Also, a new employee (second day on the job) came up to me and introduced himself, and asked how I was doing, even though I was being helped! . Thanks for being friendly.

The lady & gentlemen at this location were super helpful. We finally ended up getting cleats for my son. I was kind of sad that there isn't much of a selection at the store mainly because there is a Starfire field like 5 min away. I know it's not up to the store i am just saying.:)

Went in yesterday 7/18 looking for a specific pair of Nike sunglasses that only a couple stores have left. The manager guy found them asked me how much I payed for them last time I bought them, they are normally 80bucks I had got them on sale for 35 last time. He went to the counter asked the clerk to pull up the last sale price and to give me 10% off extra so they ended up being 30 bucks out the door. I asked if I could get 2 pair at that price he said if he had another he would but they didn't so he threw in a Nike case just cause. Very impressed with the service and the fact that he did that for me just cause.

Even though the swamp coolers were midget sized, I found some neat home defense items.

My mother and i visited yesterday to buy shellfish licenses in preparation for a family trip. The attendant was swift to assist us and i was quite pleased at how knowledgeable and through she was in her help. I wish i had asked her name to add to this review, but i neglected to.

My mother chose to come to this location because her experience procuring a previous license proved frustrating at the Fred Meyer on Rainer - she recalls the person helping her there was inept. The employee who we were lucky to with with at Big 5 affirmed my mom's decision to bring our business to the sporting goods store instead of the department store.

I always love some of the cheap stuff I find here. I get the RG work boots on the cheap and they last at least a year. Be warned you will need inserts for these.

Super helpful. Went above and beyond. Helped me use my online coupon for a great discount. I love Big Five staff, most of them. Some are snippy....but i keep coming in for the deals and selection.

The staff was very helpful! A larger than usual inventory of sporting goods! They even had the baseball hat, Boston Red Sox, that I was looking for! Great store!

Total opposite from my experience at Big 5 located at 125 SW 148th St, Burien, WA 98166!

The Big 5 in Burien is closer to the Big 5 in Renton that I went. Due to the piss poor customer service at the Burien location, I don't mind the extra drive.

When I walked into the location in Renton, Christian greeted me right away acknowledging me as a human being......a customer. Every employee that I came across which was a total of 3,.....all acknowledged me. Sad to say I didn't get this in Burien.....what's bad is that I think the first employee I saw when I walked in the door in Burien.....was the manager!

Christian greeted me and also took care of my instant request.

Alexis assisted me on finding some work boots. Work boots,.....they have a life span of 4 to 6 months with me. Then I throw 'em away and go buy a new pair. So I had a budget that I told myself before I walked through 'em doors, but when you feel a little good due to to the customer service you've received at a store, you don't mind spending a little more. Well, that's how I feel and do.

Alexis had to pull out 4 different pairs of boots and I ended up buying the most expensive ones going over my budget, but I am happy with my purchase and not regretting it at all!

Stopped for fishing license was in and out . The cashier was friendly and fast.

Walked in looking to find a pair of shoes for work purposes as well as casual wear after leaving empty handed from the south center mall. To my surprise we instantly found some comfy tennis shoes and as we were inspecting them a sales representative approached us and asked what we where going to be doing and helped us find another more functional pair of shoes we didn't even know were there.
