AmberJack Seafood & Steaks Restaurant

A very good restaurant to have fried fish. I ate this on a Sunday where they have buffet-style eating. The fish is quite good, the first fish I took is not so good but the seconds are very good. The tartar sauce is excellent. The mac and cheese is excellent. The food is very good, it’s not excellent but it’s quite good.

The service is excellent. The waitress is excellent and helpful, though she should have explained that this is a buffet day earlier. But her service is still excellent. The place is well cleaned and well maintained.

The atmosphere is excellent, it’s not too crowded and the music is not too loud. You can converse easily here. They have a huge parking in the back of the restaurant.

Had lunch there for the first time. The waitress was so friendly. The complimentary hush puppies and soup was a nice touch. We had flounder and country steak. Both were very good. Nice deco. Waitress told us about the Sunday buffet and it sounded pretty good. We will go back for that.

The service was warm and friendly and the food was so delicious. The fish was breaded perfectly and so crispy. Also, the tartar sauce was out of this world. I didn’t care too much for the stuffed crab, but then again I’ve never really met a stuffed crab that I like. I’ll definitely be visiting again.

Ain’t nothing like the real thing baby!!! People were telling my wife and I about this place for a while now, and we finally got around to try it today!! Yasssssss!!! And the portions surpassed our expectations! The fish was seasoned just right, and it had that classic salty, crispy, crunchy outer breading! These people did their homework and passed with flying colors!!

This was my first time coming here. I was referred by a friend. I was very pleased from the beginning. The restaurant was decorated beautifully for Christmas, creating a warm pleasant atmosphere. There prices are very reasonable. My sister and I had the fried Perch and Green Shrimp. It was fried to perfection, seasoned just right and it was an ample portion. The service was very good too.
Had ice cold draft beer that hit the spot.

My son and I ate Thanksgiving lunch there today...11/23/23. We arrived early because we figured they'd be really busy and sure enough, people were really lining up outside so they opened the doors 30 minutes early!!! I've never eaten here but we're making it a regular spot, the food was fabulous! They had all the Thanksgiving favorites but in addition they had fried chicken, steak and gravy, seafood, and a wonderful salad bar. Every thing was so great. The steak and gravy was the best! The price was fine. The friendliness was great and the service was wonderful. Our waitress' name was Courtney, I think, and she was great. It was just a terrific experience. We'll definitely be back!!!

Food was very delicious at lunchtime today. I recommend trying the Salmon Salad they have. Hushpuppies were also good and not greasy at all. Our Waittress aswell was the nicest and did a great job! Will definitely be back to try their dinner menu someday. 😊

My wife and I visited here on Thursday November 9th. We were acknowledged by the staff as soon as we walked through the door. We were seated quickly and we were well taken care of. Our food was hot and fresh, not to mention delicious! The manager came by to check on us, she was welcoming and friendly. The salad bar is amazing. We will certainly be regulars at Amber Jacks!

1st time I have ever been there. Near my grandson went for the Sunday buffet after church. It was really good. Had some chicken. Pork chops. Mashed potatoes and gravy... Some barbecue. And Salad. Fire like a say was 1st time being there you can not beat the price and the food.. I hope you like it and this helps you.

Server made sure our drinks where filled. Spend a little over $60 on 2 adults and 2 kids buffet.

It was so much better this time. The food and salad bar was delicious. Tremendous turn around with the new owners.

The food was very good. 16 oz ribeye steak that was perfect. I was there with a party of about 30 people and the wait staff didn't miss a beat and everything was organized. The food came out together. It was a very good experience. I have eaten here several times and have never had a bad experience.

Really good perch❤(wide selection of fish), grilled chicken salad good portion and tender chicken. They also have good spaghetti and meat sauce. Both salads were missing ranch and aloha grilled chicken salad was missing pineapples. Been here several times and everything else has been excellent.

Went to dinner with friends before going to Daniel Stowe. We had all read the reviews and looked over the menu which is vast. There are lots of choices, truly something for everyone. James was our server and he was awesome!

We will definitely go back for the hushpuppies, potatoes au gratin and dang those tators tots covered in cheese - i don't know how they get them perfectly crisp on the outside and not overcooked on the inside. My seafood was delicious with plenty to take home.

Steady crowd, quick service - be mindful if you are ordering steaks they are made to order so they might take longer. Parking seemed ample, we did notice it was full but found a spot within a minute or 2.

Pictured: Tots with cheese (bacon on the side) Shrimp and grits with a load baked potato, combination 3 (shrimp, scallops, oysters) with potatoes au gratin, combination 2 (shrimp and flounder). Grabbed a couple of pictures of desserts from the case while we were paying our bill and they looked amazing!

I highly recommend this place, I know I'll be back to try the carrot cake because it was already gone by the time we were there.

1st time here with my family tonight and my stomach is about to bust through my pants. I ordered the small Alaskan white fish and couldn't finish it. It was so good and fresh. Thanks for the good service.

Excellent food good service,and a nice comfortable atmosphere. they have a separate bar area for beer & alcohol and a nice salad bar. This restaurant is always consistently excellent on all their food and service. They serve everything from burgers to seafood and steaks. They offer daily lunch specials which are good tasty deals. And they also have dinner specials. I have been eating here for years and never had a bad experience!!! I highly recommend this place, you won't be disappointed!! Friday & Saturday nights this place can get really busy!!!(not unusual for Gastonia) and it stays steady busy all day Sunday but it's worth the wait.

This was a fantastic option for lunch on vacation. Service was friendly and prompt, hush puppies were great, grilled fish with okra was delicious. I would definitely recommend eating here for the interesting decor alone!

Great service and several different delicious meals on the All you can eat buffet! Quick for a large family with children.
