Not sure the reason for the negative reviews. I have been coming here for almost 12 years since I first moved to Winston Salem and have always had positive experiences. Dr. Powell is a great listener and she has always been very thorough in monitoring both my physical and mental health. She is caring, thoughtful, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend.

I appreciate Dr. Powell. She has been a great Doctor to me and my wife for over 15 years. The only reason why I didn't give her more stars is because the scale only goes to 5. The negative reviews that I read are not accurate. She is caring and honest and has always had my best interest when working with me. Thank you Dr. Powell for providing me and my wife with such excellent care!!

Love Dr. Powell!! Been with her since my baby was in diapers, now my baby is her patient!! Really miss her old staff though! Amber in particular. Thanks for all you do Dr. Powell!!

Great caring doctor!

My husband and I have always thought highly of Dr. Powell. Recently the office staff hasn't returned calls and I am not sure why. David has been a patient for a long time.

She had a condescending attitude. I was expecting a natural approach to health through, supplement, proper diet and exercise suggestions instead she pushed for many tests. I was due for a pap and gyn examination .The exam didn't feel thorough. It was not like when I had gone to my gynecologist. Like she was uncomfortable.

Dont be fooled by name. Took random test, ignored everything I said and told.me that I was feeling awful because I work. I've been working constantly for over 18 years and take time off regularly. Im not suddenly having immense physiological changes because I work. Spent more time speaking of herself as if she's the holy grail of perfection. Hopefully she took those self absorbed books down. Please find another physician. You deserve to feel comfortable (which I didn't), heard, & helped. Not just pushed asides and used for a means to an end. Explained nothing went over nothing. When I spoke of my diet routine. It was oh I wouldn't know I don't do that I do it this way. With sarcastic tone and disgusting smirk. Went in office once. She and sadly others like her is why so many go.to.google an pray to.find relief if only temporary.

I never even made it in the office. The lady that answers the phone is rude and has a nasty attitude. I called and rescheduled my initial appointment but was called in by my gynecologist sooner so I didn't need to be seen. I got a bill in the mail for not showing up (even though I called). Suddenly they have a policy to charge you if you don't show up or if you cancel/reschedule your appointment the day of. I let the receptionist know I was never made aware of it and she said well you were told when you made your appointment. I am adamant that I was NOT made aware of it and was again told that I was. I asked if the calls were recorded and she said NO!! So... You can't prove I was made aware (and I was not) so I shouldn't be charged ANYTHING. I'm glad I never went inside that office. Nasty vibes. Nasty attitudes. If you don't like your job, QUIT. 💁🏾‍♀

Never going back here. Scheduled an appointment and when I called to let them know I was stuck in traffic and would be around 5 minutes late, I was told that I had rescheduled my appointment for the following day. I informed her that I didn’t not and would not because I would be out of town and I let her know that I had just received a call the day prior to remind me of my Thursday appointment. Her response was oh well we’ve already seen our last person for the day. I’m done with this place!

I went to your practice 1 wk after moving to NC begging for help because I was having vision loss in my right eye. On my paperwork I provided a list of ALL meds I was prescribed, mgs & reasoning for being prescribed. I didn't ask for meds I asked for help. It didn't matter how scared I was about going blind, you couldn't get over the fact that I was prescribed pain meds & ignored everything else I said. For 3 wks I begged for a referral to see a neurologist & get a brain MRI. In those 3 wks I became 90% blind & per my eye Dr who called to take you off your high horse & explain I had severe swelling on my optic nerves & would be totally blind in both eyes if not treated immediately. After several neurological tests, a spinal tap & a brain MRI, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. Do you believe me now Dr. Powell? It's because my eye Dr. acted so quickly that I'm not blind in both eyes. It's because of you that 9+ months later I'm still 75% blind in my right eye. I can't help but wonder what would've happened if you listened to me. Please, I beg you, please don't treat others the way you treated me.
