Clayton Guns

Brought in my slide that had an optics cover screw which I completely stripped off. They were able to get it out without any damage to the slide but what did it for me was that they gave me replacements screws which they also shaved down to size, all at no extra cost. I would've had to get in touch with company to have them mail me screws

I got a PSL-54 parts kit custom built here by Rob. He is a very professional and competent gunsmith, going beyond my expectations. I would definitely recommend this place for both their store and gunsmithing services.

Great customer service, dropped off my old .22 rifle that was handed down to me from my late grandfather for them to clean, they disassembled the rifle and did a very thorough cleaning, picked it up same day. I’ll be purchasing my next firearm from these guys 10/10

Drove 30 minutes from my part of Raleigh to get an SBR engraved and muzzle device swapped out. They did it incredibly fast while I waited, which I wasn’t expecting, but greatly appreciated. They have a good bit of inventory of all types and great prices from what I saw. Also, real nice bunch of dude working there. I would stop more frequently if it were in my area but I’ll keep the visits to when I come by to buy something.

Highly recommend. Lastly, if you want some engraving done, you can look at the stuff they have done. They are very capable and do some really cool stuff

Extremely nice and professional staff. Very thorough when cleaning. They were able to clean my 100 year old Ithaca shotgun that has been passed down for generations. They even gave me advise on what type of ammo I should be using. Very great pricing on gun cleaning. The owner really knows his stuff!

I contacted Marisa about the possibility of doing some custom laser engraving on two of my new shotguns. She was great to work with and made sure I got the exact look I wanted. Very professional results. I highly recommend her!

Amazing! I have moved to the area a few months ago trying to find a solid gunsmith as well as reliable store that won’t rip people off during these times. I’ve brought in guns old and new to be worked on and each time I’m extremely pleased! Best gunsmith I’ve ever had and super friendly and helpful. This place is a hidden gem! Great prices on ammo and firearms. Also the staff here are amazing and friendly. They do offer good NFA engraving service for a great price. The owner here is a nice guy who gives great customer service and is very knowledgeable on firearm questions. I would recommend this place over the other shops in the area or even in Raleigh.

Great group of guys! They did not talk down to anyone that was in the store and seemed to just enjoy having the customers! I am driving about 45 minutes to get to this location and will continue to do so!

Good selection considering most other gun stores have less in stock than I have personally. Great folks to deal with and had a much better ammo selection than any other shops around. Also I did not see any over inflated prices like I've been seeing online and at other retailers.
They promptly assisted me with all my suppressor questions and made the process much easier than I expected.

This is the best gun store this side of Raleigh. The employees behind the counter are so knowledgeable, polite and makes everyone that comes in feel comfortable. The owner Rob always seems to make it a point to speak to every single shopper. Highly recommend this gun store and I’m not easily impressed :)

What can I say about Clayton guns? Well the employee’s are professional and the owner it’s really awesome. They have a great variety of guns and are fairly priced. The employee’s are really awesome and they even joke with while you are looking at their inventory. Overall I love this place and I have bought a couple of guns from them. Keep up the good work guys and I’m going to be a customer for life.

As soon as I walked in I was helped immediately. I left a rifle to get my tax stamp engraving. Paperwork got mixed up but they made sure everything was fixed, done properly and waited for me to come back before making any decisions on the mix up.

I love rating places not just on how well they do when things go right. But to me its more important on how staff reacts when things go wrong. In this case the owner and staff were very professional and made sure everything else went great and the owner even handled it personally. Would highly recommend this place you will not be dissapointed.

Not only did they have 9mm ammo in stock, they didn’t have the 1 box per customer rule that every other gun shop I’ve called has had, because they’ve got the stock to sell. Can’t bash any other gun shop for trying to keep it fair when 9mm pricing has gone up and stock has gone down since so many people are stocking up on ammo during the pandemic. It’s just nice I found someplace by just driving by that I guess is either a little less busy so they have the stock, or some magical inventory person that gets it and gets it consistently.

Either way, they treated me nice, they had a whole wall of ammo where he listed off all different brands and prices, (I went with 2 100 round boxes of Federal), and it was a cool enough little shop. I’ll be back if my main gun shop on 70 is out of 9mm like they were at that time during the day and get some more.

I came in today, after contacting them via phone asking a few questions. Once, I arrived I was greeted by the owner. I did not expect the amazing customer service, I gotten today from the staff. The owner was extremely helpful, and spent so much time helping me picking out the perfect firearm. In addition, to getting me the right holster as well. We tried many firearms and holster, and he found the perfect match for me. Educating, and giving me a variety to chose from. It was NOT about money with these individuals. They want you to find the right piece for you, and that's what really matter to them. Thank You All ! A great place, great staff, located right here in Clayton.
