This is a great park. I love the trails. There are lots of photo opportunities and you can stop at the market for a refreshing drink. It does get crowded and the main parking lot is kind of small. The restrooms are best left unvisited if you can help it lol but still great to have available if you can't.

We love this place! It’s got something for everyone: paved trails, musical instruments in the kids playground, soccer field, enclosed dog park section, great parking and it’s walking distance from yummy food. We take our Dog Lola for training with her life long coach. She is a very reactive dog, so it’s great to find enough space to train her without making anyone uncomfortable. I love playing with the instruments on my way back to the car. The trail is tempting but it’s hard for us to walk there with Lola who is still learning how to be sound other animals. If you’ve been there, please share!

Nice little park! The playground is really close to the parking lot, so plan on watching younger kids who may wander. The musical fixtures were missing some pieces but they were still fun to play with sticks. The pollinator garden was beautiful and I loved the insect hotel. Very well thought out, although it looked slightly vandalized (bamboo pieces pulled out and falling apart). Still really neat. We only walked a bit of the trail but everything was relatively clean. We went on a Saturday and it was lively! Kids playing soccer, a baby shower, and lots of people walking dogs. Will definitely visit again.

Very nice park for kids. Swings, slides, rockwalls, monkey bars, musical toys and more. Paved walkways and playground equipment for little and big kids. Public bathroom, picnic tables and shelters. Trash and recycling bins. All well maintained. Update: Still loving this park! My kids and I have explored quite a bit now. Eno River basically runs all around and through parts of the park. There's beautiful paved trails and bridges to walk over. There's a beautiful covered wood path that runs right next to the river. The train goes right by the park and there's awesome views when it goes by, which is often. There's a community garden and bee motel and a small bamboo forest with little trails. There's a public book box, a separate fenced dog park and a soccer field. Great place to do sidewalk chalk, bicycles and scooters etc. for people like us that don't have a paved driveway or road nearby. Our go-to park!

A great place for walking the dog and letting them play. The dog park is great, plenty of water, with a well onsite for the pupper in case! Everyone's pretty friendly and if you want to walk around a bit, you definitely can!

Very nice park in Hillsboro with historical significance as well. The bridge is really cool and the park has a nice play area with a variety of things to play for all ages and a soccer field. There is also a "bee hotel" and a nice pollinator flower garden. There is also a section by the stream with quite a bit of bamboo trees.

This is a very nice park every time we come here. There is a small “exchange a book library” near the pavilion, clean restrooms, soccer field, play equipment, 2 dog enclosures, a bee city, a butterfly garden, and access to the Eno River Walk.
The park can become flooded after heavy rains and therefore may be muddy for weeks. But the paths are always well maintained, as well as the bridges.
We saw many dogs and children on a cool Friday afternoon after Thanksgiving. We even saw a family with fishing poles going towards the river.
A new path was just blacktopped (but taped off)
just past the Old Text tile Mill (which isn’t a factory anymore) but a school, a wedding venue and other businesses.

Was here to celebrate a birthday in the shelter next to the bathrooms. The playground was popular and full of children (my own included). I had never been before and I will be back. This is a good playground park. Mulch base. Do be aware there are toxic berry plants within child picking distance of the playground, so keep an eye out.

It's a cool park! Playground for the littles, a little music station that adds a fun acoustic element, and fields to run around in!

Gold Park is one of those one never forgets. The environmental atmosphere of everything and everyone is just beautiful..As a mom of 4,I spend quite alot of time here and my children range in ages 14 to 5! So the fact I can say ALL 4 are never bored here,is super cool..Huge fields for soccer, baseball football ectra,2 dog parks for our furry friends, picnic tables for b-day parties, chilling in the shade and such, swings slides and fun things throughout but MY fav? The trails!!!! Perfect for exercising(I walk)or simple sight seeing as birds and cool findings are all throughout the trails.I see alot of people walking throughout the day no matter the time I go and everyone seems to have a smile on their face as I pass..I no longer live in that area, however as I said earlier,it will always be one to remember so we often go back as much as possible while in that area.Highly recommend to any and everyone of all ages and gender!

One of the best kept secrets of the Hillsborough area. Plus it connects to an amazing public hidden walkway that travels to the original orange county raceway that is also a historic site.

Restrooms were closed today (mid January) and I don't know if that is normal or not. No sign up. Otherwise, a very nice walkable area to bring the kids to play.

Went for a walk on the trails with a friend while the kids were able to bike. Everyone was nice and respectful on the trails. Playground was lots of fun after the walk.

Fantastic place for family and pups! Connected to the river walk that leads to downtown Hillsborough so that's a bonus.

Everything was great. Benches *with backs* for parents. Bushes, but still a lot of visibility. Lots of room for the kids to run and play. Plus giant musical instruments. And cedar chips instead of that rubber/plastic stuff that never decomposes. Oh, and recycling!
Everything was clean. Restrooms were easily accessible.
Wish my parks closer to home were so convenient.

Lovely! The trail is a bit confusing, but it's gorgeous. I plan to come back and have a picnic somewhere. There's so many open grassy areas.

This is a wonderful place to go on a walk. It connects to downtown Hillsborough through a river walk and also goes into Occoneechee mountain. I love the dog park and that soccer fields are always busy. Be sure to take all the trails they have to offer. There are some interpretive signs along the way. I would highly recommend during any visit to Hillsborough.
