Our first experience here was an absolute win. The food was awesome and so were the beers. We got one chicken sandwich and it was so delicious we actually ordered another right after finishing it. The views are spectacular and the staff was very kind. Our server Gabriel was pleasant and attentive. Definitely will be coming back especially for the sunset in the warmer months!

Deliciousness. Some of the best fries I’ve had in a long time. Burger was great! Fish and chips was especially tasty with the house made hot sauce. Buy a bottle!

Amazing food and even more amazing service! Highly recommend the pimento fries and fresh catch (though everything our group of 5 had was excellent).

Definitely worth the drive. Beautiful country along the way, super small little "town". Everything we had was fresh and delicious. Not pictured was the peach pie dessert with a side of vanilla ice cream--was out of this world!

I really do appreciate a good burger and The Eddy really did provide me with just that 🍔. The atmosphere was rustic with a variety of plants to make it even more homey. Service was fantastic with no wait time. They also support their local farms which is where they get all of their ingredients from. Well worth the stop!

Drove 45 minutes to have lunch here today and it was nothing short of amazing! The Roasted Carrot Gnocchi was simply divine and the best meal I've had in a long time. They have indoor and outdoor seating with beautiful views of the Haw River. The staff and service were outstanding, can't wait to go back.

I don't know where to start. The food? Amazing. The service? Top notch. (From the hostess to the barstaff to the server.) The view on the deck? Gorgeous! Everything we had was delicious and thoughtfully prepared and presented. It was our first visit but definitely won't be our last.

Visited again in February, 2022. Beautiful dinner on the deck. Friendly service, beautiful view, delicious food.

What a gem! A quick diversion off the freeway and one you won’t regret! Great General Store, brewery and butcher attached plus amazing Haw river and garden views of some of the most diverse plants I’ve seen in the Piedmont. Amphitheater right there too! It was storming otherwise we would have went to the Saxapahaw island park a couple miles away. Looks really cool! Kayak outfitter right there and camping as well. Definitely a cool artsy spot.

I’ve been wanting to try this place out for a while. I’m glad I did, it was a great overall experience! The service was top notch (I ate alone at the bar), the food was very good(I had brunch this time). I believe it to be good overall value. I will be returning for sure, and I will recommend to friends and family.

Atmosphere, service, and food are 10/10!

Update: more pictures added after second visit. Still a great experience! Only downfall is they don’t have liquor, just beer, wine, and sake.

My wife and I visited on a Saturday afternoon for lunch. Reservations are strongly recommended. I had the BBQ plate and my wife had the veggie burger. Both were delicious and well-prepared! The server was extremely knowledgeable and courteous, and we really loved his insights regarding their menu. The atmosphere is casual, pub-like, and cozy. The view of the Haw river is wonderful, and there's lots of great outdoor seating (although we ate indoors). Parking is a little tough because there isn't much of it. But we easily found street parking. The restaurant is at the top of the stairs on the parking lot side of the building. I highly recommend a visit! We'll definitely be back!

Always delicious food and a fun place to be! We tried the Thai chili chicken wings for the first time. Oh, my, how delicious!! I could have eaten 10 more!! We almost always get the fish and chips. I believe they are our favorite item on the menu. They had several new items we hadn't seen before and hope to try something else new soon!

This is a place you don’t just stumble on - you search for it and find it, because it’s worth the effort. Not only is it a beautiful, open space, but it also offers spectacular views and mouthwatering food combinations that will leave you planning your next trip back, while you’re still eating the meal in front of you. (See pictures below)

Everything about the experience was spot on - service, food (taste, quality, freshness), atmosphere and environment, and overall appeal. I look forward to returning again in the near future!

Solid entrees, really good appetizers and even better ambience. Loved how they combined indoor plants with the overall industrial vibe of the Saxapahaw River Mill complex.

Super unique place to stop for a bite. Beautiful scenery to munch on their in season rotating menu. If you’re looking for earthy farm to table meals this is your place. We’ll be back!

Someone that my husband works with told us about this restaurant. We decided to check it out. Loved it. Cool atmosphere, nice staff, amazingly good and locally sourced food, and just a great experience. So glad we went! I got the hot chicken sandwich and fries, and Boylan root beer. Delicious!!

In area delivering canoe. Asked for local eats. Got my reward. Picked The Eddy. Got dreaded do you have a reservation question. We forgot it was Valentines. We got lucky. It was early and they didn’t treat us as a nuisance with no reservation. I could say we got more than we bargained for. I’d go back in a minute. New York Strip always risky to order. You usually get shoe leather. It was perfect.

Absolutely fabulous meals! We stopped here for brunch before kayaking Saxpawhaw Lake and hiking/playing on the island. I had the 3 egg omelette and the flavor was absolutely fantastic! My husband had the Eddy Breakfast (not pictured) and absolutely loved the smoked ham. My MIL got the Benedict, which I think was good, but for those from Delmarva/Pennsylvania: it is nothing like Rappa Scrapple, "the other grey meat." Good but very different. We didn't even get past the first page of the menu, but we're really excited about returning! 4 year old had the pretzel with cheese and devoured it. The coffee and OJ were fantastic.

The vibe was fantastic and the deck has fabulous views of the Haw and (that day) amazing clouds!

It is one of the coolest places I have visited. worth the time, just don't be in a hurry. Take time to relax and enjoy the atmosphere and scenery.

Parking can be a hassle just because of the amount of people in the same area in a small town.
