Moderate crowd when we arrived, greater at the door, took our seat, and the service didn't stop their. Very cordial and nice people made us feel like family. The waitress promptly took our order and in no time we had our delicious breakfast!

2 eggs, Applewood bacon, grits, and wheat toast...left very comfortable!

Pops is a must if you’re in Maggie Valley! This place is a hidden gem. The food is a mouth-watering delight. The atmosphere is welcoming and you always feel like you’re at home. And if you get the chance to meet Pops… it doesn’t get any better!

We stop by Pop's for breakfast whenever we visit Maggie Valley. We were near MV for a weekend getaway at the beginning of November and went to Pop's for breakfast twice. The servers are friendly and sweet, and occasionally (if you're lucky), you'll be entertained by the cook singing along with the radio. The food is delicious, and we recommend Pop's to all of our friends visiting the Maggie Valley area.

This is one of the best breakfast/lunch places in the smokies, by far! Pop and the staff are incredible hosts makes you feel at home but the food is just delicious and homemade.

THIS is the place you deserve to go to for breakfast at least once while in The Valley. Great, local, not too huge for its own good! Four words; Pound Cake French Toast!

Oh, and everything else was excellent as well!

Wonderful down home come cooking with great pancakes and omelettes. The only downside to our visit is that they ran out of biscuits. But it was the week after Christmas and the place was slammed. It was the only breakfast place open in town on a Thursday morning and the wait to sit was long but well worth it for the quality of food. Definitely hit the spot when we were craving breakfast. Their were only two servers doing everything they could and managed the crowd exceptionally well. Thanks Pops for cooking for us!

We loved the food here. The catfish and grits were great, and the pound cake French toast that was the special was amazing. Our server was so kind. She even made me whipped cream when they ran out for my french toast! We'll definitely stop by again the next time we're in the area. It's classic, homestyle cooking at great prices in a beautiful area.

We had a Reuben (but not on rye) it was incredible. The meat omelet was great. And the pancake was delicious. This place is old and simple, but great food.

Our idea of a family restaurant, where you feel welcome and the food is awesome. I had the "oh my goodness" "pound cake French toast" with sausage and eggs and my better half had the best Reuben he has ever eaten. Great staff made us Canadians feel real welcome. Will definitely recommend to anybody riding through Maggie Valley to stop in. Thank you!

My husband and I came to Maggie Valley for a weekend getaway and had breakfast at Pop's. The food was delicious and it was just as described. Reminder me of good old fashion place where everyone was pleasant and Pop's smile from the kitchen just was the sweetest!

Sat outside with our breakfast to avoid the busy inside which gave us beautiful views for our coffee and breakfast. Wonderful food.

This is a good little place to eat in Maggie Valley. The key word is (LITTLE). You'll likely have to wait if you go during their busy hours. they only have a few tables inside, and a few picnic tables outside. And unfortunately, their menu is a bit focused on animal-derived dishes. As a vegetarian, i did enjoy their Veggie omelet for breakfast. It was a BIG omelet! The home fries were also good. My favorite part was the biscuit though. I love some biscuits!!! It was also nice that Pops himself came out to talk to us, and ask how our food was. The staff here were very friendly, and helpful. I would eat here again. Just be aware - this is not a vegan friendly restaurant as their menu is highly meat focused.

Server will take good care of you here. Keep coffee refilled and whatnot. Ham was extra salty. Biscuits and gravy tasted a slightly tangy (not for me, but may be others like it).

Wife and I grabbed brunch here one day during a weekend getaway to Maggie Valley. The parking seems limited, with only four or so spots out front. However, there is a gravel/dirt lot to the left with plenty of parking. The restaurant is kind of small, I think it had 8 or 9 tables inside, each seating a max of 4 people. There are 6 picnic tables outside. It was a short wait to get in once we arrived, but the wait wasn't bad.

I ordered the Tex Mex omelette, and my wife ordered the Lexi, which is Cuban bread french toast with two eggs and sausage. We also ordered a side of homemade biscuits and gravy to try them. The wait for our food wasn't long. The quality & quantity of the food was excellent. We were both full without feeling like we had overdone it. Our server was great as well. She was very polite, friendly, kept our glasses full, and checked on us frequently during our visit. We both drank water, and our food tab was $31 and change.

We both enjoyed our visit there and would gladly go back when in the area. Highly recommended!

The food was phenomenal! If you are looking for a breakfast spot in Maggie Valley, Pop’s place is a MUST! The omelet was flavorful, the chicken and waffles were to die for, and the sausage gravy is as good as gold!

This place is a treat - excellent service, cozy atmosphere and delicious food. I believe it’s the singing in the kitchen that makes the food taste so good 😊 Hearing Pops back there made me smile while I had my biscuits and gravy. Definitely worth stopping in, for the kindness as much as the food 💕

They had the most amazing, creamy, delicious fried grits I think I have ever had. Even if you dont normally like grits, these will make you want more. Small place, not a lot of tables, but you dont feel rushed to finish and get out. In fact, our waitress kept telling us to take as long as we wanted and enjoy. Their biscuits and gravy were melt in your mouth fantastic. And so inexpensive for as much food as you get.

Cmon an get you some real country flavors, plus!
Sausage gravy and homemade daily biscuits. To brisket hash, country benedict, sweet stacked fluffy pancakes to a shrimp 'n grits like no other.
Yeah, you're gonna have to wait sometimes. But u could wait for Pop's delicious offerings, served w an occasional bar or two of one of his favorite songs playin on the radio...or you can go wait somewhere else and get some of the regular fare and feel, that u could have gotten at a breakfast chain restaurant back home.

Frita was just our server and she was FANTASTIC. Sweetest service and great food!! Made our breakfast amazing!! It was a busy Saturday morning and we had a larger group, we didn’t have to wait long for a table or for our food. We’re from out of town but all agreed we wish we lived here so we could come here more.
