Cardinal Inn

Communication was fantastic, from giving us check-in info via text, so we could just go straight to our room without having to check in at the front desk, to making sure we had enough towels and answering any questions after we were there.

They prepare specifically for you, even making sure there is already ice in your room before you arrive! Everything was very clean and well maintained, and there was a welcome letter which explained any quirks of the room, like where the bathroom light switch is, and that the hot water takes a minute to arrive but doesn't run out.

It was quiet, I felt safe as a mom traveling with a kid, and location was perfect!

We will definitely be staying here in the future when we come back to Maggie Valley! Thank you!

Very home- like and cozy. It's the little touches like a bucket of ice in the frig waiting for you. Real half& half for my morning coffee! 2 luggage racks, not just one like most motels. Our room had nice upholstered chairs on either side
of the bed. Two folding trays are very handy also. The is a fire pit with chairs around it, that we enjoyed in a previous visit. Excellent value and outstanding service!

What a great place to stay! This is in the heart of Maggie Valley within walking distance of shopping and dining. Clean rooms and comfortable beds. You might even see some wildlife! You can’t go wrong staying here!

We have stayed there several times over the years. Each and every time has been a wonderful experience. Paula and Charlotte are the perfect hosts. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable. The views are great, the location is fantastic. The rates are very reasonable. The perfect place to stay in Maggie Valley.

Cardinal Inn is very quaint, quiet and very clean! The room was so pretty and homey. The owner is simply the sweetest lady to talk with. We had a front row seat when a herd of Elk came down the mountain! That just made our stay complete..I definitely recommend staying here as I will again. A plus! 😀

This is one of the best lodging experiences I have ever had. The owners and employees maintain this motel very well. The room was so comfortable clean, and quiet. We never heard a sound all night long. We cannot say enough good about the Cardinal Inn. We will definitely be back whenever we come to this area. Just a wonderful experience. The rocking chairs and hammocks were awesome. Such beautiful views of the mountains.

This is a wonderful old motel. Quite retro but with all the modern conveniences travelers expect. I slept soundly and had a hot shower, and I was ready for my day. I highly recommend this beautiful and nostalgic venue. Really one of a kind.

Great place to go relax & meet nice people. Charlotte & Paula are so accommodating, friendly, personable & fun to be around! The rooms are nice & make you feel like you are at home! Sitting around the fire pit is a must during the cool nights! You can walk to the best restaurants too.

Our stay at the Cardinal Inn was so nice! The room was so clean and the owners and staff were friendly and welcoming, They made sure every detail of our stay was perfect! Definitely will return the next time we are in the area!

We really enjoyed staying at The Cardinal Inn 2 nights. The room was clean, comfortable and affordable. We were able to order a yummy breakfast delivered to our room before we started our day of sightseeing in Maggie Valley and Gaithersburg. We sat on the very comfortable rocking chairs outside our room and listened to the birds and viewed the pretty mountainside, true Serenity. We were able to walk to both nights to a Brewery and then a Soortsbar for dinner.
Charlotte and Paula, the owners, even put up a "Happy Anniversary sign on our door " to welcome us. The king bed, chairs, microwave, mini fridge, full size trash can, TV trays and many other well thought out amenities in the room were greatly appreciated. Thank you. We will be back.

I loved the coziness of this vintage styled hotel. The owners are super kind and very welcoming. Our fur baby felt right at home as well as my boyfriend and I.

Love the Cardinal Inn. This place is nice and homey like your family and they have such comfortable rooms. We were very lucky to be able to see. Nine Elkin one of them was a bowl. They walked right by where we were sitting at the campfire. What an amazing experience that we had at the Cardinal Inn.

Love this hidden gem of a great motel..the bed was very comfortable..TV and lights were left on .rubber duck on the bathtub was cute..nice rocking chairs..love the firepits. The cardinals are so lovely..

Charlotte and Paula are always the best. They are great hosts and the motel facilities are always in great working condition and clean. Can't wait until next year.

We love The Cardinal Inn. The staff is amazing and very accommodating. We love the location, within walking distance to several of our favorite restaurants and the fairgrounds. The property has a large area with a fire pit and picnic tables. The rooms are very clean and the beds are super comfortable! We have stayed here several times now and already have our next vacation planned. The staff treats you like family and we look forward to many more stays!

We fell in love with this place! The rooms are so cute with the vintage feel and the owners are so sweet! The room was very clean and they made sure we didn't go without anything we could've wanted or needed. We especially loved the outdoor area with the hammocks, picnic tables, grills, etc.

This motel has something most are missing. Great personal service. Very clean and cozy. I would recommend staying there to anyone. Well lit at night with outdoor amenities. The owners are super nice. Great location in the middle of Maggie Valley. Restaurants and many shops within walking distance.

Our second year coming to get a Christmas tree with our grandson Cardinal Inn is just awesome We went ahead and booked our next year after Thanksgiving tree finding trip except going to stay two nights instead of one! Thank you!
