I stopped by because I read online it was pet-friendly and I had my dog with me. It had been a stressfull day and I just needed some hot comfort food.

I cam during a slow time because they weren’t busy, thank goodness. I didn’t want my anyone to be bothered by my dog. I was expecting to be sat outside, but they sat me inside. I was told “it’s too cold to sit outside” even with the dog. They didn’t mind the dog in the least.

The food was amazing. I couldn’t make up my mind what to order. Then the lady came out and said she had about a cup left of her homemade chicken and rice soup. I immediately got that and it was so good. She brought it out in a bowl but told me she’d only charge me for a cup because this was the last of it and she didn’t expect it to be this much. It was so good.

I would highly recommend this place. The food is great, the atmosphere is warm and welcoming, and the service was impeccable. Thank goodness for this place.

The food was so good I forgot to take a pic as I chowed down. But I did manage a pic of the Pumpkin Cobbler dessert! Food was delicious, the atmosphere was great and our server, Lee, was wonderful. I recommend The Twisted Spoke. This is not a biker bar, it is a really good restaurant with amazing views.

Quite possibly the best lobster roll I've ever had. And I've spent years visiting seafood festivals along the New England coastline. Sweet people, in a location with breathtaking mountain views, vintage hard-wood flooring in a woodsy lodge with an old-fashioned roadtrip/foodie bar atmosphere. Beer list and billiards table included. This is a must for those looking for a welcoming stop along the road trip of life. Ample parking available. Watch for Elk crossing nearby!

Had to come try this place after all the raves online. Definitely love the food! The avocado ranch is literally finger licking good. The menu is limited probably because they sell out so fast! Highly recommend getting up there and trying this place before word gets out and you can’t get a seat.

Yes they are dog friendly! One of my many favorite things about them! If you’re in a group take one vehicle because parking is limited.

A must stop in Maggie Valley.
Very cool old mountainside restaurant/ bar totally rentivated and decorated to celebrate the American Biker spirit.
The food is excellent, and the staff was friendly & attentive.
The new owners are hands-on & are ready to make this the Go To place, right off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Maggie Valley...

Great restaurant. It feels like home. Service and food was outstanding. Steve playing the piano really took the atmosphere over the top of the mountain!! Steve takes request, can play anything!

Get a table in the back and around 5pm you may very well see some elk like we did (See pics). Even if you don't, the view is worth the price of your food and drinks! Try the quesadillas!

Stop at this roadside (literally) Cafe for a delicious meal and shake off the road grime. This little gem with a gorgeous back porch view offers a somewhat limited menu, but the appetizers and entrees are thoughtfully prepared, delicious, and perfectly portioned. We started with the onion rings which were mouth watering good. Then we chose a chicken quesadilla and beef quesadilla as our entrees. Both were well seasoned and delicious. For desert, they offered several choices, but we chose the all American Apple Pie a la mode. A perfectly palate pleasing way to end our meal. Service was fantastic. Drink menu is ample. Don't let the "biker bar" persona scare you off. This was well worth the visit.

Stopped here last Saturday. This place has amazing views of the mountains. We ate the Italian Sausage dog and Rich's beef sandwich with Onion Rings. Both were very good. Service was great. We recommend this place and will definitely be back!

Stopped in at 3pm and it was packed, but we were able to find a spot to park and went inside. We were seated in a few minutes! We had the meatball sandwich and the sausage sandwich, both were very good! Left with our take out Desserts. Very nice atmosphere and friendly owners and waitresses. Would recommend a stop if you are in Maggie Valley!

Stopped in during a brief visit to Maggie Valley. Apparently, they've only been open for almost two weeks. We went with sharables and tried the sweet potato fries, onion rings, southwest egg rolls and quesadillas. Everything is amazing and perfectly crispy. The homemade sauces for each were equally delicious. I wish we lived closer because we would absolutely visit often.

Yummy food. Great service. I got the lobster roll which I had my doubts about being so far inland. It was delicious and I would order it again. The fries were not my favorite but that’s just me. They were the twisted ones and kind of thick so hard int he middle. Beautiful views. Friendly owners. Highly recommend.

We found this place after another popular place was closed. We actually couldn't be happier. If it was opened, we would have missed this great place. The owners were awesome. We felt completely welcomed and breakfast was great. We normally come to this area once a year so this place will get our business as long as we come here.

My husband and I shared the southwest egg rolls with avocado lime ranch sauce and they were great. I had the meatball sub and it was amazing. My husband had the Italian sausage sandwich and he loved it. The service was very good. Added bonus, a herd of 10 elk passed right by the window where we were sitting.

The Mountaineer Restaurant & Fierside Cottages located in Maggie Valley has something for everyone. Locals and visitors alike are both regulars with Ms. Jo Ann. With ample parking whether you're in an rv, on a motorcycle or the daily driver you'll find space to park. The first thing about this place youll notice are the incredible views! Followed very close by the amazing smell of homestyle cooking! As you walk in you'll find a small retail area that has some of this and a bit of that. There is a fireplace with an over stuffed leather couch that is very easy to get lost in. The dining areas are also diverse in that you may choose to sit in the traditional dining area, in the outside area near the parking lot or there are 2 other areas. One outside off the dining area and another that is more like a screeened in porch. Food is always well prepared and the prices are great too. Plenty of high chairs and also it is ♿ accessible.
Should you find yourself needing lodging, Ms Jo Ann has that covered also! Around the back of the property you'll find 3 cute cottages! All offer full bed, bathroom, kitchen and dining area! Rustic mountain decor throughout and the view is stunning! Call ahead reservations are appreciated and advised as there are only 3 available. Each also features rocking chairs on the porch, a fireplace and outside picnic table.

The one time I didn’t take a picture of the main course because my Italian Sausage Sandwich was so delicious I forgot but I did remember the dessert which was the amazing Pumpkin Cobbler. The service was speedy and friendly, I’ll recommend it to my friends who’ll be traveling in the area when they ask for a place to eat without fear that they’ll be disappointed. The atmosphere was relaxed and the piano player had a great repertoire.
