A Holiday Motel

Stayed here when I was child 35+ years ago and ate at the restaurant next door. Loved it then. Even better now. Owner is super super nice. Room is spotless and updated. Did not cost a fortune. Normally we spend $$$$ on either a rental home or a more upscale hotel. Never again. Going back to my roots. My family is from TN and as children traveling to visit we would stop and stay here and visit Ghost Town and Santa Land. Visit Cherokee and move on to our family home. Absolutely thrilled that I have a chance to stay here again and will become a frequent flyer again. The only thing that would make me stay elsewhere is if my children and grandchild join us. Conjoined rooms would be a must. So happy to relive a few childhood memories.

Great spot to stay - extremely clean and cozy room. Rob was a wonderful host, very kind and informative. Grabbed breakfast at Pop’s next door for a perfect finale to my little overnight trip.
I will definitely book again when I’m in the area.

Beds were very comfortable. Slept great. We were skiing at Catalooche. Reasonably close by. Restaurant next door was fine. We had one of the two bedrooms. Great for kids. We didn't need any services.

My wife and I were on a motorcycle trip with our daughter and she recommended this hotel. We stayed there three nights and it was a great stay. The hotel is old, but the rooms are clean and well appointed. The bathroom was obviously remodeled recently and very nice. They are very motorcycle friendly. I will definitely stay here the next time we travel to Maggie Valley.

Rooms are updated, spotless, comfortable, and equipped just right. Spent a week here - the motel is very well situated.

Staff are all extremely helpful and friendly and accessible. Easy and safe parking.

I’ll most certainly be back again. At the risk of making bookings harder to get (😬) I highly recommend A Holiday Motel!

This is a great place to stay, we have been coming down to Maggie Valley for many years and always stay here. The owner Rob is awesome, he's very friendly and helpful, as is all of his staff. The motel is clean, the rooms are comfortable and all of the other patrons are always very nice and friendly, everyone talks to each other. The motel is very centrally located in Maggie Valley, close to all of the restaurants and across the street from the Maggie Valley Festival Grounds. The motel is very biker friendly and close to the Smokey Mountains National Park and the Blue Ridge Parkway. I would highly recommend staying there.

I can't say enough good about this gem of a place.

What a great place to stay for a motorcycling adventure! You can set around the campfire or visit with your neighbors in the rocking chairs outside your room sharing stories of your travels & talk about rides for the next day. The owner is very personable & calls you by name when you return. I felt safe & had a great time. A great little restaurant is right next door for breakfast & lunch.

My family and I stayed over the weekend and it was such a great stay! The motel was small and homey and very clean! My husband said the woman at the front desk was super sweet and very helpful with local places to eat. She suggested Pop’s next door for breakfast and it did not disappoint either! Definitely will be back!

Visiting from the UK on a 6 week across USA solo motorcycle trip in mid May 2023 and was recommended this place by a friend from North Carolina.
Very welcoming and helpful owner Robbie, friendly guests, well equipped and spacious rooms and a great price too. Ideally located restaurant next door for breakfast, proper ‘Mom & Pop’ type place.
Great location for visiting the ‘Wheels thru Time’ motorcycle museum and loads of fantastic biking roads nearby.
Can’t recommend highly enough and should I be lucky enough to visit NC again I will definitely be staying at A Holiday Motel 👍😎

Rob, thank you for your hospitality, and sharing stories and advice with us. We had a great 3 day stay at your awesome motel. It couldn't have been better. Clean, comfortable, and in the middle of the best motorcycle riding roads around. Janet and I will be back as soon as it is possible. God bless you!

Best little hotel in a small town!! There is always something going on in Maggie valley on the weekend! The owners are amazing and live on site! Not often you find a family owned little hotel with a 100% health department rating!!!! And they have grills available!!

I did not stay here because I only live an hour and a half away, but I wanted to write a review because my car broke down right by it and the kind owners and staff let me park there and sit in the shade while waiting for a tow truck. The owner was very helpful and even offered to change my flat tire, but I didn’t have a spare. He also helped us by talking to the tow truck guy and letting us know what really was going on (we don’t know anything about Maggie Valley or cars).

This place is epitome of “Southern Hospitality”! Next time I come up to Maggie Valley and staying the night, it will for sure be here!!

We stay here every time we come out to the valley, and that is often during ski season. The rooms have been recently updated and look and feel great. The TVs are nice no bad or scratchy service. The bathroom is always nice and clean when you go in. The owner is great, very personable. Highly recommend this little motel for weekend or longer stay.

This motel is centrally located for all the great motorcycle riding roads. It is also within a 1 1/2 hour drive to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. The owner and staff are very friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need. We will definitely be going back. Thank you, Rob, for your hospitality!

My friend and I were visiting from Greenville, SC. Unfortunately we got a flat & the Holiday Motel was the first parking lot we saw & pulled in. A kind man named Rob offered to change our tire (we didn’t have a spare but we really appreciated it!). Anyway, he talked to us and reassured us through the process of getting our car towed and local tire shops in the area. The guidance and company of Rob really helped lightened up our situation. Thank you Rob, your kindness shall not go unknown!❤

This is a great little hotel! The rooms were great, beds were comfortable, and Rob is awesome! The restaurant next to it has great breakfast as well. We will definitely stay here again.

Rob and Gabby are awesome. They care about their guest and always try to accommodate you. Anytime we come to Maggie Valley we stay here. We got home late one night on the motorcycles and gabby was waiting on us to make sure we were ok since we are normally back by dark when we visit! It’s clean and quiet! We stayed here for our honeymoon.

Just came home after a 15 hour drive from Maggie Valley. Due to a last minute change, my daughter and I were able to get our own room across the street from where the wedding was at this motel. It was such an upgrade from the Heart of the Valley Motel! The only thing we didn’t like was that the front of the AC unit was really dirty and you can tell it hasn’t been cleaned in a while. Otherwise, our stay was amazing and we loved it! Thank you for making our visit to Maggie Valley awesome!
