Girlfriends African Hair Braiding

This is the best braiding experience I have ever had! I called a day ahead to schedule a 9:30am appointment and was about 15 minutes early. We started right at 9:30 which was great and I had about 2-3 people braiding. I was in shock that the ladies finished so quickly with my small knotless braids! Waist length might I add!!!!! I was out of the chair after cutting fly aways, dipping in hot water and extra hair care I walked out the salon at 11:30 am. I have never been done with braids so quickly and they look amazing! This will be my braiding salon from now on. I am so pleased with their work and this was my first time going! I highly recommend going to them for all your braiding styles. The braids are uniform, neat and I experienced little to no pain when braiding.

I've been getting my hair braided for years at various salons around DFW. This has been the most pleasant experience. I set the appointment online and called immediately after to inquire about the hair needed. They were very friendly and helpful on the phone, and they provided the hair for the style I wanted. My appointment was at 9:30 am, and I was walking out at 1:30pm. They also stuck to the price that they quoted me on the phone. I've had many experiences at other salons where I'm quoted one price, but then when they see my hair, they change their prices. Stylists have also always taken 6-8 hours to braid my hair, so I was very impressed with the 4 hours. The stylists were very personable and friendly, and were undistracted while braiding. They did great work- very neat and secure knotless braids!

Had my natural hair two strand twisted the service was above and beyond my expectations.I’m Very please with the services provided and will highly recommend them to others.

This is the place to go when you need your hair done. The service was not rushed and I was given exactly what I asked for. On top of that the pricing is reasonable. I will be returning!

Baby Mary understood the assignment. She did my hair exactly the way how i wanted it SHE WORK FOR ME AN I LOVE THAT. When i book her exact words are what you wanna do ...an she will do it i have nothing bad to say about this place she apologize for the small wait an kept asking me questions about my hair the whole time... I had a great experience with Girlfriends. My braids look Great! The ladies were very polite. Nina did an excellent job. I saw some other interactions which appeared to be nice.
I saw other reviews before I went that were not so great, but the good outweighed the bad and I tried for myself. When Nina attempted to stretch my hair with hot iron I simply asked her not to. When they spoke to each other in their language I just minded my business. If they talked about me I didn't know, didn't matter. They did a great job!

All the ladies are nice and professional, my favorite is Nina she is the absolute best. She's is fast, friendly, professional. Kudos Ms Nina. I love my hair ❤

I love Mariam, the owner. I have been bringing my daughter (now 14) to her for years, and recommend her braiding services often. She is very professional and does a great job. I believe the prices are affordable and comparable to other braid shops. I had to have surgery back in November, and thought it best to get braids for easy maintenance. It is 1/18/18, and they are still yet holding on, although I'm getting a retouch this weekend. Mariam and her braiders are nice, and your hair is done in a reasonable time. I would definitely recommend Girlfriend's Hair Braiding.

I’ve been coming to this location for several years and continue to come because of their professionalism and great detail. I usually get knotless boxbraids and I’m never disappointed. All styles are great and they’re quick at what they do also.

I've been going there for the last 3 years. At first they were braiding my hair too tight, but when I addressed it they listened. I'm very happy with these young ladies, if ever there is a problem Mary is always willing to make it right. Thanks ladies..great job

I went in there just to get two long braids and I have natural hair.. I must say people who have natural hair go to Saly..she was able to tame my hair in order to braid it correctly even though it hurt a little bit that's because I'm tender-headed however she is the best... If I'm able to add photos I would do it later
