Chesapeake's Seafood and Raw Bar

Mark was an amazing server. Our food came quick and our drinks were never empty. The dress code is very casual. If you love oysters, you can’t go wrong with the raw or the grilled. Hearty portions and the fish is super fresh. They don’t have parking but we just parked in the Venus lot right next door. Would be back again!

Well I have to tell you about our waitress, Lucy was the absolute BEST.... She helped with excellent selections off the menu... Was there refreshing our drinks and made us feel like we were the only table in a busy restaurant. Now let's get to the food.... Started with crab dip... Don't miss this you will not be disappointed. ( have to admit I wasn't fond of the crunchy bread served with it but the rolls in the basket helped me get every bit of it in my belly). Clam chowder BEST I have ever eaten. Smokey bacon really elevated it. Scallops from the daily special menu were delicious. Crab cakes had no filler. Even the salad had bacon on it. The raspberry cheesecake was also very good. Make this a stop if you want some great seafood.

The food was excellent. We got the broiled platter and were not disappointed! The butter and bread exceptional. Had oysters on the half shell as an appetizer very good! Highly recommend trying this place if you are in the area, made reservations online and was seated promptly when we arrived. It was our engagement dinner, our dessert was on the house. A lot of food!

We came here for my 21st birthday, and it was phenomenal! All of the seafood tasted fresh and flavorful. The bread basket they brought out was to die for, and it’s a must to get the bread pudding for dessert. Our server, Dawson, was amazing, along with the rest of the staff there. I highly recommend this place!

The service was excellent, thank you to our waiter, also a member of the service. Thank you for your service to our country. To start, we had the mini seafood tower, excellent choice to pair with the oyster sampler. The Chesapeake oysters were the favorite. For the main course we had the Trout and baked potato. We were able to sit next to Little Pigeon river. The window area was closed off, but still had a nice view of the river. It would be really nice for lunch as well. Overall, so far this is the best option for a fine dining experience.

We celebrated our 26th anniversary here last week, it was a wonderful experience. Our server, Kaitlyn, was attentive and kind. She waited until we finished our appetizer before putting in our dinner order, which we particularly appreciated. We had crab stuffed mushrooms first, and they were some of the best we've ever eaten. I had the crab cakes with spinach maria, and while the crab cakes were very good, the spinach was amazing! My husband had the filet mignon with a shrimp skewer that he very much enjoyed. There is no close parking, which didn't bother us, but could be an issue for some people. We went on January 31st, which is probably the slowest time of year there, but I would definitely suggest making a reservation during the busier seasons. We had a wonderful experience and will definitely be back! :)

Don’t hesitate, just do it! I would absolutely recommend coming to this restaurant. This was the best food and service that we had the entire time we were in Gatlinburg. Babs was our server and she was absolutely amazing so get her if you can. We started with the crab fingers both fried as well as steamed and they both were delicious. We also had a lobster with crabcakes and it was phenomenal. We also did the oyster sampler and every single one was absolutely fantastic. The only thing that was just OK was the crab bisque bc thete wasn’t any crab meat in it. The old-fashioned were awesome for drinks and my son likes the strawberry lemonade. Restaurant was extraordinarily clean, service was phenomenal, and I would honestly say that this was the best experience I’ve ever had in Gatlinburg, and we will absolutely return again. Oh, and I forgot to mention they had the most amazing side dishes, the spicy, spinach, macaroni, and cheese, and the Nia cheese potatoes were phenomenal. Lastly, the seafood salad was one of the best I’ve ever had in life, and it was full of blue crab, shrimp and scallops! OK that’s it. I gotta stop they were amazing you get the picture.

Indulging in Chesapeake's seafood was an exceptional dining experience. Widely touted as Gatlinburg's best, it lived up to the acclaim. The freshness of the seafood, flown in every 24-48 hours, was evident in every delectable bite, particularly the scrumptious oysters and appetizers.

Our server, Jonathon (apologies if misspelled), was outstanding. He provided fantastic recommendations and effortlessly managed our lively group. The prices for seafood in the mountains were surprisingly reasonable, and the drinks, reasonably priced too, tasted delightful. I especially enjoyed a well-crafted dirty martini with blue cheese-stuffed olives, a perfect dessert cocktail.

When in Gatlinburg, Chesapeake's is a culinary must-visit—a testament to exceptional seafood, excellent service, and a great overall dining experience.

This was a fantastic place for our first evening meal of a Thanksgiving vacation getaway. Jonathan was our server, and he was spot on! We started by splitting 2 appetizers, the stone crab claws and shrimp cocktail - excellent! Then, my wife had king crab legs and broccoli, I had the 2 lobster tail meal with grilled asparagus - all was prepared perfectly, and was divine tasting. We won't admit to dessert, but it too was to die for. Overall outstanding evening! Would highly recommend to anyone in town and hungry.

Everything was amazing! Living in Tennessee it's hard to get good seafood, especially when you're from the Chesapeake Bay area in Virginia. Our server, Jason was absolutely awesome! He went above and beyond when waiting on us ( he was a doll too lol 😉). We'll definitely be back .

Also, kuddos to the bartender for a good Moscow Mule. 🤤

My daughter celebrated her birthday at the Chesapeake tonight. The food was amazing. Our waitress Angie took wonderful care of us and made sure the dining experience was special. Highly recommend everything was wonderful.

Omg… the food here has an out of this world! I had the lobster paired with the Stone Clears Pinot Grigio, the roasted Brussels (mouthwatering with bacon and balsamic glazing) and a half a dozen oysters. My son had grilled shrimp and he loved them!

I give Chesapeake's & their team 10 stars! Everyone we came into contact with was both personable & professional and the atmosphere was wonderful. Our server, Jason, really made the experience over the top with his warm personality & exceptional service! The food (cooked Oysters on the 1/2 shell , Clam Chowder, Wolf Fish, Broiled Seafood Patter) was hands down the best seafood we've ever experienced at a restaurant & certainly a surprise since we were obviously not on the coast! We were only visiting for a few days, but made it a point to dine there twice.

Loved this place from start to finish. We were seated in an amazing booth overlooking the river. Our waiter, Mark, described the dishes with such detail and passion that would make anyone’s mouth water. We started with the oyster sampler, Rockefeller oysters used to be my favorite, however, the imperial ones are my new favorite; this is a must try. While my Cajun Mahi Mahi was good, I was kind of mad at my husband for not trading his red snapper dish with me. He gave me a couple of bites and this dish could easily be my all-time favorite. I have to go again!

Loved the food, loved the service and loved the atmosphere. Bread basket was the best. Raw oysters were fresh and very tasty. We didn't care for the cooked ones but that just may be our taste. My cocktail was delicious. Our waiter was more than accommodating to all our request. We would definitely come back next time we are in town!

We enjoyed everything we ate from here. Gumbo was great with a little spice. We both ordered from the specials menu— Red Snapper Providence Style (BIG YUM), crab stuffed flounder over quinoa and rice- also very good! And we added a crab cake. I can see why so many reviews talk about the crab cakes. Amazing!! We will be back and this is definitely added to my list of favorites whenever we visit the Gatlinburg area.

Blown away with this restaurant that's located just inside thr Gatlinburg strip!!

The oysters were as fresh as I've ever had. And, they had a selection to choose from!
We had crab stuffed mushrooms for an appetizer. Drenched in butter and a large amount of crab!!

For dinner I had the chefs special. Florida Grouper paired perfectly with smoked cheesy bacon Grits and the best Brussel Sprouts ever! My wife had the crab stuffed shrimp with crab bisque. Everything was perfect. Lucy was a phenomenal waitress! Great Job Lucy!

We've been blessed to be able to go, see and eat at a lot of different places. Chesapeake is in the top 10 for sure!

As good as it gets. Unsurpassed quality, fresh array of a variety of seafood. We travel extensively, best seafood platter I have ever had. My Son's that own a business in G-Burg go often and we do as well. Enjoy
