Dr. Johnson in the ER of Smithville Hospital was absolutely amazing. He made me feel like a human being and treated me with respect. He was so polite, and so considerate. He went above and beyond to make sure I was OK. The nurses at Seton Hospital Austin was amazing. I can’t speak on the doctor since I’ve only seen them one time overnight stay. I only seen them for five minutes But the nurses And the nurses assistance were outstanding.

The hospital staff is super sweet and they handled things really well. The nurse, Victoria…LOVED her! They also didn’t take too long and spoke very clearly. They were also transparent and I felt that this hospital was great!

This place was probably the most caring ER we've ever been to. They were overwhelmed and didn't have any beds, but they squeezed us in at the last minute and it didn't take long at all. My son had a crash at a near by MTB race with TMBRA yesterday (May 19th) and got a bad concussion. The security guard was so kind. He helped us into the hospital and even assured us that the race bikes on the truck would be safe. He, along with the admin, nurse and doctor, were very patient and understanding when we walked in. They treated us with smiles, and positive energy, which is all we need as parents and patients during stressful times. I certainly hope that this hospital gets the expansion and staffing it needs to continue to provide such wonderful support to the immediate community and to people like us who were scrambling to find immediate attention on such short notice. Thank you, Smithville Ascension Seton!

ER nurses, Heidi and Donna could not have been more accommodating and kind to my 90 year old mom, who was having excruciating back pain and somewhat dehydrated. Dr. Brieger was compassionate and caring, took time to learn my mother’s issues, and order tests to see how to help. We are very new to the area and after 5-6 hours in Ascension Seton, Smithville ER, on Thursday, January 11, 2024, we have no doubt where we will go in the future. My mother received excellent care and attention!

When I walked in I was thinking this is a good ER and it everything so clean they come up to you to talk to you everyone has a smile on their faces, like they have not had a bad day. The Dr was awesome, I can tell when someone cares for you and how you are feeling 😀 it makes you feel good even though you don't 😉. So thank you so much for being there for me 🎅😍💯

Ascension Seton hospital was a new experience for me. However I’ve had my fair share of hospital visits in many other locations. A.S. was very good and I was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of care and attention I received there. No one wants to spend time in the hospital. However if circumstances necessitate your needing medical care I would highly recommend Ascention Seton Austin for your healthcare needs.

Came in late at night because of an accident and I was very happy about the speed and quality of care I got. A lot of people (patients and security) seemed to know why I was there, but that could be because I was there with my sister and she was talking to me the whole time to calm me down and people overheard.

My visit to Ascension Seton Smithville Emergency room was positive for me. I was seen very quickly and the doctor and nurses were all very attentive and kind. I am glad we have an emergency room that is reasonably close to me.

I really don't like dealing with doctors and going to an emergency room is usually a nightmare. But the ladies who took care of me were kind, helpful and wasted no time. In fact when I left I told them they need to learn to be meaner or they will cause an epidemic of Munchausen syndrome! 10 out of 5 stars! If you're gonna get hurt do it in Smithville and you'll get the best hospital I've ever been in...and I've been in quite a few.

I brought my daughter in for an infection that needed to be treated. Donna was our main nurse and from start to finish she was excellent. My daughter was crying and uncooperative. Donna was never critical of her behavior. She just rolled with the punches and by the time the visit was over my daughters true nature began to reveal itself. Donna was reassuring to me as a mom and was willing to answer all my questions. Kristi was admitting nurse, pretty sure that’s her name. But also very kind and reassuring.

They treated my dad with upmost respect. Very proud of the service he received while at the ER. Just a shame the hospital is not fully functional so he could have receive his other services local.

Must say this is my first 5 star review here but I hope it isnt my last! Have had several issues with this hospital in the past, however after having issues at St. Davids in bastrop, I went to smithville again. Must say I am glad I gave them another shot. The staff was very attentive and helpful, genuinelly just wanted to help the best they could. The Doctor I saw was very nice and proffesional and got straight to the point of attempting to help me, even though they had a lot of patients. I was more than likely a difficult patient and they still treated me with the most dignity and compassion possible!

Having been ill for seven days, I came into the Smithville Seton Emergency room after a night of running fever and night sweats with shortness of breath. They responded in a short amount of time and honed in on my symptoms and then answered the questions I asked very clearly. The staff ordered tests from their lab and radiology and reported results in less than an hour. I am satisfied with the recommendations by the doctor and the staff nurses on duty. Before leaving the staff gave me instructions, medication to take at the ER and three prescriptions to fill at the pharmacy. Additionally, the check in administration was reasonable. With the medication I started feeling better the next day and continue to improve.
I recommend this hospital ER.
