I want to specifically note this rating for Misty and Adriana at Bastrop USPS. They are who you want helping you with your very sensitive deliveries. I had a live animal shipment coming that got “mis-shipped” by a different Texas facility - not Bastrop’s fault. But when Adriana actually looked into the tracking information and noticed this, she immediately reached out to Misty to see if anything could be done or found out. She didn’t just brush it off and say they’re not here. She cared. Misty tried to contact the other location for me and sent an email to them to try to at least provide water for the animals when her phone attempts failed, knowing their arrival was delayed. She helped more than once with updating on tracking information I could not see on my end. They did finally arrive and by miracle, alive - they called me immediately before the sun rose to tell me they were in and I could come get them. They understood time was very important at this point. Bastrop is fortunate to have these two at their office.
Aside from this, our local delivery person comes as expected daily and everything I see that should reach us on my informed delivery is in my mail box as it should be.

The service at the Bastrop PO is friendly and efficient. The surrounding streets could use some work, however.

Moved from Austin and the difference is like night and day. The employees working the front are super friendly and attentive each time I've come into down town. My mail arrives on time and doesn't go missing anymore. I wish all usps worked this way.

I've lived on Main St, 2 blocks from the Bastrop Post Office for over 30 years and have very little to complain about. My current letter carrier is wonderful and goes out of her way to provide superior service! She's wonderful! Great service in the office as well!

Had to send package back to seller. USPS worker was very helpful. Was able to get the box in the system and ready to go to seller. Also, received receipt with info to follow package shipping history. Way to go USPS!!

Never had any problem here. Nice staff. Tiffany is the greatest. She has helped me with shipping many times. I dropped by pretty much every day to pick up mail from my post office box.

All my experiences with the Bastrop post office have been good. I've never had a problem and my mail box is small causing them to have to bring the package back to the post office many times and everyone has treated me well. Thanks for promptly and efficiently delivering our mail.

Surprised how helpful they were. I had a box to drop off that was quite large and pulled up like 3 minutes after they closed. I walked up to the door with it anyway and she had just locked the door and was walking away. She turned around and saw me as I began heading back to my truck. Opened the door and asked if I needed a receipt or it was just a drop off and when I said it was just a drop off she went ahead and took it anyway. Really appreciate it!

Happy, friendly ànd helpful clerks handle sometimes excessive traffic quickly and professionally. And yet, they will ALWAYS take just as much time as is needed to deal with your project / problem and make certain that you leave the Post Office as a Very Satisfied Postal Patron. I am VERY happy to give the Bastrop Post Office a Very Positive Review and Referral!

Prices are crazy high and I think they need to hire more workers to better serve the public

Unfortunately, when it comes to Congress and the post office, the problem isn’t too much affection. For decades, Congress’s attitude toward the post has ranged from neglect to hostility. As a result, the USPS is struggling. In November 2018, it announced a net decline of $3.9 billion, continuing a twelve-year negative run. Quit sabotaging our USPS!

My house was under construction and my nice in Cuba wrote me a letter to my new address, wow, they saved my niece's letter for 2 month and dropped off to me when I moved!!!. Wow that's amazing, isn't it?

Moved to Bastrop a year ago and I’m very pleased with the service at the local post office. Super friendly staff, makes you feel at home all the time.
