The online photos don’t do this quiet little cabin retreat justice. Karen and John are the sweetest, most gracious hosts, they made us feel at home the second we arrived to check in. We stayed in the cliff house and it was perfect for us to celebrate our 8 year wedding anniversary. The cabin was immaculate when we walked in. With a quaint country feel, perfectly secluded. The hot tub on the oversized porch, overlooking the river was clean and very well maintained.
There is paint provided to paint a rock and add it to the collection on the porch. It was a fun unexpected activity. We enjoyed reading all the rocks and all of the anniversaries, we even saw one that said 55 years.
Our grill had been left on by the previous guest so the propane was low and John quickly changed it out for us.
The water pressure in the shower was surprisingly strong for being a cabin. The bed was firm but in a very comfortable way. The linens were clean and fresh. The muffins and orange juice left in the fridge for breakfast were sweet touch. I could not recommend this place more.

Love these cabins! I've been a few times now and everytime is such a pleasure, owners are very nice and friendly and the cabins are so relaxing, quiet and the hot tub is an added bonus!! Will definitely come again and again.

The most peaceful, relaxing and distressed I’ve been in months. The owners go out of there way to make sure you relax. My only regret was I could not use the hot tub because it was over 100 degrees outside. Make sure if you go to paint a rock!

We stayed at the spring house and we loved it. Getting away from everything, no tv and just relaxing. The hot tub was awesome and the host were really nice people. Even left us a bag of halloween candy as it was halloween weekend when we stayed. Will definetly be going back!!!

Absolutely peaceful. Hubby & I spent our 23rd anniversary here and it was perfect! The cabin had pretty much everything we needed, it is secluded and beautiful. The hosts John and Karen are kind and helpful hosts. We will definitely be back. If you want to unplug, unwind and re-connect with your loved one....this is the place.

We went to the Paluxy River Bed Cabins for our anniversary. We had the most relaxing time. The hot tub was enjoyed while watching the rain come down. Beautiful views. The owners are so nice and there if you need anything. I highly recommend the cabins to anyone!!

We had a wonderful time at the Spring cabin. Paluxy River was a stone throw away and clear and clean. We saw quite a few ducks and no people but the lovely owners during check in and out! The cabin was super clean and comfortable. Everything we needed was there, besides personal items such as shampoo, body wash, ect. Which was no issue at all since we like to use our own soaps. The hot tub was super clean and had obviously fresh water. Glen Rose is such a wonderful little town, but no need to even visit the town when at this cabin. There is a grill and propane is provided, as well as a fire pit with wood provided. The fire pit is shared but we didn't see anyone when we were there star gazing! This cabin is a must if you are looking for serenity and a place to completely unplug. Paints and brushes are provided to decorate a rock to leave on the cabin porch. It was sweet reading all the rocks of couples past that have graced this cabin with love and memories. Such a special place! We are "cabin hoppers" of sorts, so we like to go to different cabins everywhere to explore. This is a cabin we will definitely go back to when the weather is a tad warmer so we can take a dip in the river. Absolutely wonderful people own this place! You really couldn't ask for more!

If you are seeking relaxation,privacy,and getting back to nature, this is the place!
Our cabin was clean,comfortable and extremely well stocked. The hot tub was definitely a plus.

We loved every minute of it! The owners -John and Karen are nice, courteous and very welcoming! The cabin (cliff house) was clean, secluded, and equipped with everything you need. We enjoyed sitting on the porch enjoying the peace and serenity while gazing off into the river bend below the cabin. My husband I desperately needed a quick getaway for our 2nd yr anniversary and this definitely fit the bill.

My wife and I wanted to getaway for our 19th anniversary and we chose the Paluxy River Bed Cabins in Glen Rose, Texas. The location is close enough to other attractions and town but yet it is still quiet and secluded. My wife and I stayed in the Spring House which was a beautiful cabin that has a direct path to the river. The hot tub has a beautiful view over looking the river and you indeed have your privacy. The Cabin was clean and well decorated and the owners had left us muffins and juice for our breakfast the next morning. The owners are good hearted and very friendly people. I would definetly stay again.

Had the most relaxing stay in the Cedar cabin! If you are looking for a quiet place to get away contact John and Karen Wells - top notch people and place!

My wife and I spent a weekend here at the Paluxy River Bed Cabins. This was actually our second stay here. Our first stay was in the Taos House this time we spent the weekend in the Cedar House. Two days is not enough! We plan to come for a whole week during the summer!
I highly recommend this place.

My wife and I have now stayed at the cedar house twice. This makes three stays at the cabins. John and his wife, Karen are awesome people and make your stay as comfortable as possible. We plan to book the cabin again soon. Our goal is to stay at each cabin. Love the peace and quiet. Sitting on the porch in the rocking chairs during a rain storm is quite relaxing.
I still highly recommend a stay at the cabins.

This place is a wonderful getaway from home! We have been here many times and will continue to come back! It is so serene and relaxing. Karen and John are the sweetest people ever as well! As soon as they greet you, you feel right at home. We love it here!

My husband and I spent the weekend in Cliff House. Wonderful cabin with a gorgeous view of the river. Cabin was very clean and had everything we needed for a nice, quiet weekend. Owners are very kind and hospitable and take great care of their cabins. Would definitely recommend!

My girlfriends and I had my bachelorette party here. The Cedar cabin was perfect for us and we had such a great time. The hot tub was perfect on a night with a distant thunderstorm to enjoy. We saw a raccoon and an armadillo! John and Karen are very accommodating and sure knew what they were doing when they designed these cabins! They're the perfect retreat!

My wife and I needed a quick escape, this place fit the bill. We got a cabin in solitude, close to the water, on a short drive (Fort Worth), for a good price.

The cabin was clean, had good amenities (no tv), and was safe. The hot tub was hella dope, and it was very quiet out there.

We appreciated our time there and will return again.

Just got back from another fantastic weekend get-a-way at the cabin. This time we went to the Spring House again. My wifi and I have been here many times over the years. It's a special type of place where we can relax and have a mini vacation. Quiet, secluded, private, peaceful are the words I use to describe Jim and Karen's place. They are a wonderful couple and have been in business for over 20yrs now. I have always highly recommended all four of the Paluxy River Bed Cabins to all of my family, friends, and co-workers.
And will be happy to go back....... as soon as possible.....//C
