I could not have asked for a better experience! I did a guided tour and had an amazing tour guide, Alex. She is an animal expert!! She answered all of my questions and I learned so much from her. The animals were beautiful and it really was a 10/10 experience. My friend and I are still talking about it. I feel so fortunate to live close enough to enjoy such an adventure! I highly recommend the guided tour. We even saw baby animals!

Wonderful! The animals are very well cared for and the tours are a must! You only short change yourself by driving through yourself! the guide was incredibly knowledgeable and loved her job! The work done here for the animals cannot be overstated as they not only care for but also help to save many of the species from becoming extinct. Again the tours are really the best way to experience this wonderful place.

Coolest experience ever! We did the self-tour. We came around noon on Saturday, just a few cars front of us, but took us almost 2 hours to drive thru. We got to hand-feed the giraffes from our car ❤ (food pellets were given from the place, no purchase, one pack per car). Many animals. They are so smart: they know who has food and come asking, some waterbuck (antelope) even ‘knocked’ on the car asking for food 😀 the giraffe even tried to put its head into my car (window only half open) when I was slow giving out the food 😅, they know how to properly cross the road too…

Tips: choose a nice weather day, there will be more animals; come before/around noon so there won’t be many cars front of you, or you would have to wait for a long time.

What a rad little safari in the middle of Texas. You get to be up close and personal with quite a few animals. Hand feed giraffes, see zebras up close, and they even had a white rhino! It's all anout conservation, and the animals aren't in tight cages like at a zoo. Highly recommend!

A nice place to visit with family and friends. No need to worry about walking long distance as it is a drive through park. You get a free pack to feed the animals. You can see animals approaching your car including giraffes and zebras.

We had so much fun here! We loved feeding all the animals, and even got to see some hopping tricks. My kids loved the zebras, alpacas, and giraffes. The giraffes amazed us for sure!

I have been here before but took my a child and adult as a surprise. It was a hit! The last time I went the giraffes didn't come near. I was able to feed two giraffes by hand. Everyone loved it. I saw the cheetahs this go around as well. I'd recommend this place for children and adults alike.

This wildlife place is great and perfect for visiting with kids. They have a lot of animals and it is close to the car. At the entrance, you will be given food to feed the animals. All you have to do is hold out your hands to feed them in the car

We love Fossil Rim in Glen Rose! We went every year for Mother’s Day when my oldest kids were young. My wife LOVES feeding the giraffes, the lips are like velvet she says. They slobber a lot, and look at that tongue!
Watch out for the ostriches, they eat fingers! Sorta. My fingers probably look like those food pellets. One got my finger in 2009 and I’m still afraid of them. 😂

My 3 children had a wonderful time at Fossil Rim! This was our 3rd time visiting and 1st time driving our own car. Had we planned better we would have paid about $5 more per person and taken the tour van with guided tour! However they sold out with it being a 3 day weekend. With the guided tour it only last about an hour, however when you drive your own car, you have to deal with traffic and multiple cars in front of you taking countless selfies. The restaurant is priced very reasonable and was a terrific stop for my family. We will be back but we will take the guided tour!

This wildlife place is nice and really good to visit with kids. They have lots of animals and they remains really close to the cars. On the entrance you will be provided with food to feed animals. You can feed them from your car just stretching your hands out. They also offer a guided tour and it needs prior reservation. Watch out the weather forecast before you go.

What an amazing experience! I highly recommend it! We chose to go on the tour bus. It was really really fun. And then they let us drive back through in our car after we finished on the bus. Feeding the giraffes was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. If you are thinking about going, don't wait! Best experience we've had in Texas!

We had the most incredible time at the wildlife center. This was our break as we drove across the country from colorado to Florida. The safari ride was amazing, the guide was so knowledgeable! She even made sure we got extra time feeding the giraffes and we felt so catered to. We will defiantly be planning to come back to experience this again.

Fossil Rim Wildlife Center is a great place to see animals up close. Kids would especially love the drive-through and feeding the animals. It focuses on conservation and education. Highly recommended for families and wildlife fans.

This was our first time visiting and it was wonderful. About 2-2.5 hours around the park. You’re provided animal feed upon entering. Don’t be stingy with the food, we ended up leaving with a lot of leftovers. Definitely plan to go on a nice weather day. I could see it being less enjoyable on a hot day. Definitely will return!

A lovely place to enjoy with family and friends! Kids love it. Best part is that the journey in the place has a midway break where you can enjoy good food in a cafe. They have good vegetarian options too.

What a wonderful experience. Lots of animals and beautiful hill country views along the way. We did the self guided tour and we plan on returning for the guided tour when it's not so hot.

My 2nd time here. Would recommend to go early in the morning so will be able to see more animals closer. Or they would be under shades. It’s great experience not just watching to get feed the animals.. especially Giraffes and Deers.. It’s best place to be with kids they will enjoy the ride and don’t have to worry about them running around as they are in car🥰

Had a great time. My kids enjoyed the animals and getting to feed them. We were worried because it was very hot in early July that most of the animals would be sleeping but they were fairly active! It’s kind of expensive but we spent over an hour driving through and feeding and looking at the animals.
