Comanche Peak Nuclear Power Plant

Clean power for years. We should have more like it in Texas. It would certainly reduce the chance of blackouts and system failure as we had in the last extreme winter weather.

I think I went to the wrong fake skydive place, the smokey air still kept me floating though. Was fun

Awesome place, awesome people, great working environment, safety is #1 on list for all employees. Benefits are wonderful. Very family oriented. Hubby has work there for years. I was in the hospital & when I woke the guys/gals had sent me get well soon flowers. I was so touched they didn't have to but, they did. I would like to comment on (pictures comment by Miller.) The reason for that picture policy is safety for plant, people, town, state, and more. They take it serious because it is. You don't want the wrong people having access to or knowledge of plant layout in or outside facilities. I am so secure in the knowledge the plant is being safeguarded. I would think people would want that policy in place. It is not Whataburger or is Taco Bell. It is a powerplant. In today's world safety is more important then ever. No one wants a 9/11 event to ever happen again. It's so important no one has access but, people who have federal clearances and background. So, codoes to the on site security. Great job keep it up. The employees are like family. I love it because I know they are doing all they can to make sure employees a safe and able to go home at shift end. The community is blessed that they take security issues to keep all of us safe as they can. Each person is committed to be safety first, loyal, professional, team players. We are blessed to have this plant here in our community. The plant supervises, employees, are awesome professionals.

Took my friend Beglen here for his 18th birthday right before he got shipped out. We enjoyed the water slides and the pool side continental breakfast buffet. 10/10 would return again.

Worked many outages at Comanche Peak and I believe its the best plant in the United States. The people there are happy to have your help and go out of there way to make your stay comfortable. The plant is kept very clean both in housekeeping and contamination controls. The personnel set the standard for other US plants in safety and quality. I never worked with any better people in the industry over my 22 yrs.

I worked at Comanche Peak from June 1980 to 1988. Some of the sharpest engineering and construction minds ever placed in one project in the world was on this site. With all the complications that could ever be imagined, approximately 80% of this project was delivered on time The consolidated efforts of every company and the loyalty of their craftmanship, is a testimony of what stands 44 years later. I am honored to have worked for a project that turned out to be a masterpiece

Anyone who is saying it is bad for the environment is just flat out stupid. There is a strict no camera policy for the safety of the plant and the public.

I worked a outage there is was the best job I ever did.They make sure you are goin to be safe and everything.

Fishing is great

Fact: There used to be dinosaurs in this area before they built this power plant.
