Awesome, all around…and the chicken breast??!! So good! My opinion: the live music was spectacular. They played all original stuff and I believe they are going to go places, so enjoy them while you can. Also, get the Old Fashioned. 😉(Get a ride home; you’ll want more than one.)

Great place for a drink and bite to eat.
The 7 layer dip was amazing and different than any other. The Mason jar kept it hot for over half an hour. The brisket tostadas were fresh and tasty. The happy hour margarita was a large glass for $7 and perfectly blended. Sent wait to go back

Blackies on the Square is a great restaurant that offers an outstanding bar and dining experience. From the delicious food to the fantastic drinks and live entertainment, this place has it all. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting with lots of TVs. If you're in Glen Rose, TX, do yourself a favor and stop by Blackies on the Square - you won't be disappointed!!

Was visiting Glenrose for an event and decided to stop in. Service at the bar was top notch, Americana flatbread was really good and the food came out fresh and hot. Awesome staff, great service, quality food l, but most importantly I received personalized service and the bar tender made me an amazing margarita. Will definitely stop back in here anytime I’m in town.

Blackie's on the Square handles large parties with ease! We have taken large groups numerous times and they always make us feel special! The food and drink selection is superb! Fun atmosphere all the way around!

I got the Cuba Libre and Ancho Cheese Enchiladas, and my fiancee got the Cherry Limeade and the Ancho Cheese Enchiladas. Everything was delicious, and our server Brittni was so nice and attentive. The atmosphere is nice, though it was more of a bar than we expected, but we didn't mind. We went around 5:30 on a Friday night and it wasn't that busy. The drinks were served in glass soda bottles, and the check came in an old book that people had written in. It was a lot of fun, and we'd come back if we visit again!

The menu has been updated since I last visited! I had the Tenderloin, it was nice size, cooked perfect medium like I asked for, great flavor and a little smoke on it, potatoes were great and the salad was some mixed greens, cranberries were a nice touch and a vinaigrette that was fresh and really good. I’ll be back to try the other new items.

We had the best lunch. The deviled eggs were wonderful along with our brisket tostados. I actually woke up the next morning wishing I had more. Yum!!!

I ordered some brunch to-go today (Sunday). The food was delicious and was very hot when i received it. I ordered the Hash and it was very well prepared, I loved all the different ingredients and it was the perfect portion size. They were also accommodating o the fact that I am a child like and only like scrambled eggs. Given the quality of this food i would have been happy to wait longer if it were necessary, but i didnt have to wait very long at all and like I already said IT WAS UBER DELICIOUS! Thanks Blackie's and Omaleen's for a good lunch.
