The Island Hotel

My experience at the Island Hotel in Port Aransas Texas was top notch. My room was clean and airy. I stayed in a room with two queen beds. The room was quite large. The beds were wonderful with firm, extra thick mattresses. The air-conditioning was quiet and kept the room at a comfortable 68 degrees for sleeping. The air-conditioning did not blow the curtains into the room, a pet peeve of mine. The woodgrain tile floors are attractive and very practical for a beach town. I much prefer clean tile to a dirty carpet. I am here during the 2024 winter season. The rate for a room with one queen bed was only $49 per night (subject to change, of course). In my home town of Austin, Texas I would expect to pay at least $150 per night for a hotel this nice. Highly recommended!

Very nice, inexpensive, older style hotel. It has been updated, so the rooms are very clean, and it's not too far out from town. There is a pool and free breakfast. This place allows animals as well.

Very nice place to be. Awesome front desk staff. Clean rooms. Convenience to attractions is wonderful. Definitely making this the place we always stay.

My family and I were very pleased with our stay. The staff are friendly, the prices are affordable. The rooms were very cleaned and roomy. They have a lot of options for breakfast, and are also pet friendly. 10/10 stay, will definitely be coming back. Thank you guys!

Less than a mile from the beach and close to shops and restaurants. The perfect combination. The rooms were clean and very nice. Great place to stay.

Very friendly for pets, vacant lot to walk dog next door, safe and clean.

Budget Friendly is but part of the story. The motel was a very clean, very comfortable basic motel. Front desk staff was helpful and friendly and breakfast was great. Will be back when we come back for the Whooping Crane Festival.

We stayed at the Island Hotel for a week in August for a family vacation and upon checking (which we were able to check in a couple of hours early) we were expecting a big room with a kitchenette but was pleasantly surprised to to see it was a suite with a full kitchen as a family of 4 we had plenty of room, it was very nice spacious and clean. The pool was great we were in it every evening and took advantage of the bbq area as well. It was also nice to have laundry on site. The breakfast was as expected of ceral,muffins, yogurt, fruit and waffles but it was a better than average waffle compared to other places we stayed. The only thing that wasn't great was we noticed our room wasn't cooling very well towards the last 2 night's and my husband mentioned to the staff when we were getting ready to check out they immediately had someone checking on it and said we should have let them know sooner and refunded us a night's stay, so awesome and Marcy was excellent from check in to check out. We have stayed in another hotel prior to here a couple of yrs ago but this will Def be the one we come back to it would be great if they could add a bit of hot breakfast but it's a great place to stay.

I’ve stayed here three times, and each time, everyone is wonderful and kind. The rooms are lovely and affordable. I’ll never stay anywhere else in port A!

This is the best place for anyone taking a few days to hang at the beach.

I have stayed here for several years every time I'm in the area. Rooms are always clean, secure, and perfect for what I need (a place to sleep). Breakfast is decent, and check in/check out are quick and easy. I've reserved ahead of time and same day with ease. I've only ever had an issue once (noisy neighbors past 2am) and it was taken care of quickly when I called the front desk.

Went there before New Year, the place was very clean and quiet, the staff were pretty friendly, and the prices were also very reasonable. It is also pretty close to the beach and every other popular spots on the island. Will definitely stay here every time I visit!

After staying in an other similar hotel years, we found our new favorite one. Budget friendly and employees and the service, front desk employees are great. They just need some updates on the A.C units. They do not work right in some rooms like giving all the humit to the room. We had to change one of the room. Location is great for walking some places.

Thank you for our fantastic stay this week! Everything went as expected. The rooms are nice and clean and we were provided with clean towels and had housekeeping check in as well for any needs. The grounds are well maintained and breakfast was also great with a nice variety. The laundry facility on site was great and we did use it once during our week long stay, the machines work well and the facility was clean, just make sure you have detergent of your own. The pool wasn’t heated as it has been in the past, I’m not sure why that is but still it was clean and we enjoyed it as well, along with the barbecue pits. Highly recommend! We can’t wait to be back.

The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. I was able to get a last minute booking and they even called to let me know that it was ready. I felt at home, the unit was clean and stocked with everything I needed . The bed was very comfortable. The Ac worked great, they provide please of soaps and shampoo, toilet paper and one dish tab for the dishes. I will definitely come back. Thank you Island Hotel

The island hotel is pretty good for the price point- but staff like Monica make it spectacular. She made my stay so smooth and easy that she's the reason I would consider staying here again. And on Fourth of July, she definitely deserves overtime pay for being so courteous and helpful on a holiday.

We stayed in their family suite upstairs with a balcony. Very nice. Pool needed some maintenance care and cleaning. I consider the quality of their rooms and suites over priced but still a decent hotel to stay. They are very pet friendly I believe they have the best pet rate. Their continental brkfst is fair enough to get you by until lunch. Their online pictures advertise a fuss ball table which was broken,the pool table was fair and there was NO ping pong table as shown in their pictures. Their customer service is overall good. We plan to return for future over night stays because overall we enjoyed the comfort of our suite which was the high light of our stay.

Perfect spot for my kids and our large lab. We got a 2 bedroom upstairs with a kitchen. Hotel was clean and had everything we needed. They offer breakfast in the mornings, staff is very kind and helpful, and beach access is about 2-3 minute drive. We'll be back!!

This is great hotel. The floor and bathroom were clean. Big rooms in safe area. The staff was really nice and there were indoor games.

All Staff was Amazingly Sweet 🎂💞 Rooms were Good☺🏖 Place needed a little love but hey so does my house...lol.. Pool area same thing. Over all for the price Yes we would come back. Love that door to our room leads right out to our car🚪🚗 When you got little ones its great and fast way for unloading and loading vehicle.
