i always love dg. I'm glad there is one on port aransas now. they have more affordable options compared to the normal island prices. wave body boards for only $12 bucks. 6 bucks for some shades.

Absolutely the best Dollar General I have ever stepped foot in. The store is BY FAR the best stocked, cleaned, and well-organized Dollar General I've ever visited. Also, you avoid the crazy tourist markup shopping here versus the other retailers on the island.

I was lucky enough to have the Manager as my cashier and she was delightfully pleasant, chipper, and fantastic in every way. When I complimented her store she even tried to shift the compliment to her crew, just as any good supervisor would.

This store had everything we needed while we were on our vacation! It was so convenient not having to drive 40 minutes to the nearest supermarket! They also had a great selection of beer and hard seltzer, which was an added bonus!

The people who work at this store are extremely helpful, courteous, and cheerful. They make shopping fun. They are there to assist you with any of your needs. It's the best Dollar General store I have ever shopped in. It is always clean and it's my store. 😊

Very nice staff in this Dollar General. A plus also was it is walking distance from the motel where we are staying.
We also found inexpensive but good Margarita wine.

Found what we had come for literally as soon as we walked in the door. The check-out line was set up and clearly marked for adequate social distancing. Employees were behind large plexiglass and wore masks. I would feel comfortable coming here again.

Convenience is mainly our main reason for going. The line was long and only one cashier, I believe her name was Tiffany and she was doing an awesome job considering how busy it was. SHE NEEDS A RAISE! she would run back and forth and worked both registers. Literally the only worker in the building all day and it's Saturday during peak season. Props to her! Seriously I don't know anyone who would bust butt like that 👏👏👏

The new cashier was awesome! She said it was her first week and I would have never known. We went there several times while staying the weekend and she was always smiling and happy to help!

These guys are awesome! One of the checkers went above and beyond. We found a basketball to use during vacation but no air pump. He went and got one out the office and pumped it for us. Very satisfied customer here.

I didn't think I'd ever rate a Dollar General but this deserves it as it was very clean, the staff was nice, and it's the most useful store on the island for what you actually need since everything else is tourist related trinkets, clothing, or beach stuff.

I love dollar general haha what can I say, sometimes it's the best. Also they have vegan and cruelty free products!!! Take advantage!!

The only thing that's kind of sketchy about this one is that there's like a Wi-Fi and connectivity problem so you cant find what you need on Amazon

This store has the most selection of refrigerated food I've ever seen in a roller general!! I'm from Ohio and they don't have half the selection there as they do in Texas!! Made it great being next to our condo for two months

The very best staff and management team that I have ever seen or shopped at regarding any dollar general store across the United States!! Brandon is an exceptional leader and Cassie and Diana are wonderful associate managers!! You couldn't ask for a better team here in the lil tourist town of Port Aransas where our annual population ranges from 5k to 250k depending on season and events!!

They have kid pants here and normal non touristy clothes. We had to come here to find kid pants since none of the tourist places had any and our kids forgot to pack clothes (and we forgot to check on them lol) the staff was really friendly and helpful.

What friendly and helpful people working like the old fashioned hometown grocery store in the past where the staff actually cared about their customers! Good variety and well stocked makes you want to buy here all the time.

Nice having a Dollar General on the island. They have a refrigerator section with milk, eggs, cheese, etc., as well as, a few aisles of your basic groceries. A much cheaper option than the only grocery store on the island (IGA). It's clean & staff is always friendly and willing to help.

It's super big!! Has many options for beach toys to quick drinks. I will say certain items are over priced than they should be.

This is best Dollar General in the world!!!! It is stuffed to the gills with everything you'd need in Port A. Manager is top notch. Extremely busy yet super friendly.

I like going here. The employees are genuinely friendly and very helpful. The store is always clean, and it just has a very welcoming vibe about it. 10/10
